Does Finnell have a personal opinion of Anthony?

"Sure, I don't think she killed her child," Finnell said. "I don't think there is any way Casey Anthony intentionally killed her child."

So it was an accident then?
Of course, that's why she made it look like a murder and accused ZG of kidnapping her.

yeah...exactly

Book Description
Filled with explosive new information, this is the definitive inside story of the case that captivated the nation and the verdict that no one saw coming

It was the trial that stunned America, the verdict that shocked us all. On July 5, 2011, nearly three years after her initial arrest, Casey Anthony walked away, virtually scot-free, from one of the most sensational murder trials of all time. She'd been accused of killing her daughter, Caylee, but the trial only left behind more questions: Was she actually innocent? What really happened to Caylee? Was this what justice really looked like?

In Imperfect Justice, prosecutor Jeff Ashton, one of the principal players in the case's drama, sheds light on those questions and much more, telling the behind-the-scenes story of the investigation, the trial, and the now-infamous verdict. Providing an inside account of the case, Ashton, a career prosecutor for the state of Florida, goes where the press and pundits have only speculated, detailing what really happened during the investigation, showing how the prosecution built their case, and explaining how a woman so shrouded in suspicion was proclaimed innocent.

Moving beyond the simple explanations, Ashton offers an in-depth look at the complex figure of Casey Anthony, a woman whose lies he spent three years trying to understand. And yet this focus on Casey came with its own risks; here he details how this widespread fixation on Casey—both in the media and in the trial—may have undermined the case itself. As everyone got caught up in the quest to understand the supposed villain, somehow the victim, Caylee, was all but forgotten—not just to the public, but more important, to the jury.

Complete with never-before-revealed information about the case and the accused, Ashton examines what the prosecution got right, what they got wrong, and why he remains completely convinced of Casey Anthony's guilt.

Ann Finnell, who worked on Anthony’s defense team, said she recently received a letter saying Casey deserved to be wrapped in garbage bags and dumped in a swamp, which is how Caylee's body was discovered.

Casey Anthony case prompts Senate committee to recommend harsher penalties for lying about missing children
by Dara Kam | November 3rd, 2011

 ::snipping2::
Under Negron’s proposal, Anthony could have been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Anthony’s acquittal prompted Florida legislators to file a flurry of “Caylee’s Law” measures, but Negron said he did not want to craft a new law specifically in response to the Anthony verdict. Unlike the other bills, Negron said he would not attach the child’s name to the measure.

“But the bottom line is, if your child is missing and you’re intentionally and willfully misleading law enforcement, that’s evil behavior and it won’t be tolerated. By making it a third-degree felony, I think we’re making that statement,” he said.

Anthony, now 25, was convicted of lying to investigators about working at a Universal Studios theme park, about leaving her daughter with an imaginary nanny, about leaving the child with friends and about receiving a telephone call from her.

Casey Anthony probation: Is she in therapy?
Anthony, 25, is serving one year's probation in a 2010 check fraud conviction.

By Jeff Weiner, Orlando Sentinel

4:45 p.m. EDT, November 3, 2011

Casey Anthony is still unemployed and without income, but is taking part in classes or therapy of some kind, according to the report from her most recent probation check-in.

Florida Department of Corrections officials say Anthony met with her probation officer about 6:10 p.m. on Wednesday, her third such monthly meeting since beginning a year's probation.

Officials remain mum as to the location — both where Anthony, 25, is living in Florida and where she meets with her probation officer — but said that she remains in compliance.
 ::snipping2::

 ::snipping2::
According to corrections officials, Anthony told her probation officer that she has had no source of income within the last 30 days and remains unemployed.

However, for the first time since her probation began, Anthony indicated that she is taking classes — though it remains unclear what type she is attending.

Anthony checked a box on her probation form indicating that she is attending "educational, vocational… mental health, drug, alcohol, therapy or self-improvement" classes.

The form says to circle "which one," but no circle appears on the form. However, the word "therapy" has been redacted from the monthly report released Thursday.

A DOC spokesman declined to comment specifically, but stated that the redaction was due to restrictions under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

Casey Anthony: Dr. G to look at case in special
Caylee and Casey Anthony, Dr. G: Medical Examiner, Dr. Jan Garavaglia, TLC — posted by halboedeker on November, 1 2011 5:28 PM

Dr. Jan Garavaglia has said her show, “Dr. G: Medical Examiner,” would stay away from the Casey Anthony case.

But Garavaglia, the chief medical examiner for Orange and Osceola counties, has changed her mind. Garavaglia is taping a special about the headline-making case at which she testified.

The special is tentatively titled “The True Story of Caylee Anthony.” It will premiere at 8 p.m. Jan. 1 on TLC and repeat Jan. 6 on Discovery Fit & Health. The series “Dr. G: Medical Examiner” returns with new episodes at 10 p.m. Dec. 30 on Discovery Fit & Health.

marked my calendar too! this should be really really good!
hope the 12 idiots watch it too..and Cindy!
I thought of Cindy immediately when I read this.  I wonder if she will try to stop the airing of this episode.  Even though Dr. G states that all money made from this will go to a children's charity....Cindy wants all money from Caylee, or even Casey, to go into her pockets.  Besides the fact that Dr. G will show everyone why Caylee was murdered.....not good for Caylee's Fund.  Too bad, so sad....NOT!

I would imagine that CinCin isn't a happy camper about this at all!   Waiting for a statement from her attorney.  Tick Tock ...

So what does that say at the bottom about monetary obligations?   That it will be paid prior to termination of probation?  I guess being a kept woman is enough for her right now....doesn't want to part with any money in case it runs out.

I hope she is in some serious therapy.  Do I think it will do any good?  Nope.  She's probably only in therapy to try to learn how to live within a society that hates her.   Bella Vita, murderer.

TALLAHASSEE --

The movement for "Caylee's Law" -- inspired by the death of Casey Anthony's daughter -- is gaining steam toward a vote in the Florida legislature.

With Anthony acquitted of Caylee's murder, justice for the Orlando toddler remains unserved.

Some Florida lawmakers are trying to bring some form of justice for Caylee in the form of a law in her name.

More than a few of those lawmakers have called Casey Anthony's probationary sentence too lenient of a punishment.

After months of debate and testimony, the Select Committee on Protecting Florida's Children now has a bill that's virtually guaranteed to be voted on by the full state legislature.

On Thursday, the committee in charge of reviewing the Anthony case unveiled a new bill that would turn the penalty for every lie from a misdemeanor into a third-degree felony.

Such charges could mean up to five years in prison.

"As a society, we do rely on parents, and where parents violate those duties in an egregious way I think it is appropriate for there to be criminal penalties," Sen. Joe Negron, (R)-Stuart, said.

Legacy of Caylee Anthony … Florida Looks to Make Lying about Missing Children to Become a Felony Offense … Too Bad its Not Retroactive for Casey Anthony

http://scaredmonkeys.com/2011/11/03/legacy-of-caylee-anthony-florida-looks-to-make-lying-about-missing-children-to-become-a-felony-offense-too-bad-its-not-retroactive-for-casey-anthony/

Quote
It is the backlash of the Casey Anthony murder verdict where a jury failed to provide Justice for Caylee.

Florida politicians are looking to make it a felony offense to lie to law enforcement when a child goes missing, is hurt or killed. This is in direct response to the outrage and miscarriage of justice in the murder trial of Casey Anthony in the death of her daughter Caylee.  Casey Anthony was acquitted of murdering her daughter by a clueless jury but convicted of four counts of misleading law enforcement officers. Hardly justice, especially when most common sense thinking people believe that Casey Anthony was guilty as sin.

It is too bad that law makers could not have initially had the wisdom to make misleading and lying about your missing or dead child a felony. Why on Earth would anyone have considered it a misdemeanor?

Agree or Disagree over the Casey Anthony Verdict?
Have you been following the Casey Anthony trial for the past three years? Do you have very strong opinions on the "not guilty" verdict? Would you like to tell Dr. Phil why you disagree with the verdict and how it upsets you? OR, are you tired of the public blaming the jurors for doing their civic duty and want to tell Dr. Phil why you support the verdict? Please email if you are interested in appearing on television and are extremely outspoken about your point of view.
