That's a huge quake.  I think Janet (Tamikosmom) lives up that way.  Hope she's ok.

A tsunami warning has been issued, too.  Be safe, Canadian monkeys!

I'm keeping all of our East Coast Monkeys in Sandy's path in my prayers! Stay Safe!! We certainly are not in her direct path, but it's snowing at the clinic because of it, and it looks like it's that wet heavy stuff so we're keeping our fingers crossed that we don't loose power. They're calling for snow tonight in Kingsport. We never have snow in October and rarely in November, so my mind's just not ready for this. The kids are going to freeze on Halloween!

Sounds like some pretty crazy weather CBB.  Please be careful.  The kids are going to have to bundle up for Halloween for sure!

Thanks, Miss Bee! We'll be fine. I am concerned over some of the other monkeys. Anyone heard from San or Bearly? There's a bunch of monkeys in her path! Keeping them in my prayers!

CBB, Bearly has been checking in on FB, she sounds pretty well prepared.  Her parents are fine which seemed to be her main concern, otherwise she has her patio lites in the house in just in case..so far so good.

Sister has also been checking in on JSM's thread.

San is OK but the storm is hitting her right now.  She did not evacuate and should have as far as I'm concerned

So far they are OK but people are starting to lose power around them and I suspect they will lose power soon as well.  My worry is flooding.  They did have some problems last year but this is worse.  They do have a generator and a pump and plenty of food/water, flashlights, batteries, etc.

Hoping San is o.k.  She is right in the midst of this storm.  My nephrew and his wife have been keeping us informed on how they they are doing--they are outside of Boston.  So far they still have electricity but don't know for how long.

Keep safe everyone!

Thanks for the update, Babs! Glad to hear that Bearly and Sister are hanging in there. Klaas, thanks for the update on San even if it does make me want to take a bat to her hard head! LOL! Well, I'm glad she's prepared anyway!
