http://www.nbcactionnews.com/dpp/news/region_missouri/northland/investigators-launch-new-search-for-lisa-irwin-about-10-miles-from-her-home
 ::snipping2::

uthorities with the FBI and Kansas City Police Department searched Chaumiere Woods Park, in the 3700 block of NE 43rd Terrace. That's near Interstate 35 and Chouteau Trafficway, about two miles north of Lisa’s home in the 3600 block of Lister Avenue in Kansas City.

NBC Action News reporter Lindsay Shively reports one boat was in a lake there, and two more ground crews were searching the area. All three had dogs.

Police say the search is not based off of any specific tip. Investigators had left the area, appearing to not have found anything by about 12:50 p.m.

Lisa was reported missing on Oct. 4. Her parents said Lisa’s father, Jeremy Irwin, came home around 4 a.m. and Lisa was not in her crib.

We’ll post more information here as it becomes available.

Editor's Note: A previously-published version of this story incorrectly stated the search area was about 10 miles. NBC Action News apologizes for this error.

I think the Irwin's are feeling the heat of the investigation breathing down their necks.  Their attorney Ms. Short says the Irwin's and their supporters are stressed and need a rest.  What does Lisa Irwin need?  You have parents like Deborah and Jeremy Irwin and then there are parents like Morgan Harrington's and Natalee Holloway's mom Beth.  JMHO

I agree. How can anyone rest when their child is missing? Maybe I'm just cynical.

http://theklaasact.blogspot.com/2011/10/baby-lisa-and-loss-of-urgency.html

Baby Lisa and the Loss of Urgency!

Baby Lisa’s parents have circled the wagons, hired a platoon of lawyers and consultants, and cut off communications with media and law enforcement. Critical decisions are made by committee. Their other two children are off-limits to law enforcement, mommy’s story shifts and shudders, and her commentary reveals more questions than it answers. Access to the house is restricted and a cadaver dog picked up the scent of decaying human remains in the master bedroom.

The abysmal choices and questionable behavior of baby Lisa’s mom and dad have left them exposed. One result of their failure to eliminate themselves as suspects in baby Lisa’s disappearance is that her parents are being tried and convicted in the court of public opinion. They and their representatives claim that they are being scapegoated; that the authorities have to pin the crime on someone and that the parents are the obvious choices.

Rest my butt!  I have cared for my sick little ones and been lucky to get 2 hours total of sleep in  a day, pacing, bouncing, not eating, not fixing my hair (much less getting high lights) And they were right here in my arms.  IF my baby was missing I cannot fathom telling someone I need to rest for a week!

Time is critical!!  Why is the search for Lisa NOT urgent to them???????

No your not..If a child is missing you go to the end of the earth to find her/him/them....
However not in this case.....
My god, deb didn't even want to look out the back door, afraid of what she'd fine.  Now what's with that?

These boys look like they love Lisa.  They have to be asking where she is.  I wonder what she's telling them.

Maybe the search today had something to do with Cynthia Short announcing there would be no tour of the Irwin's home and etc.
