Trimm, those chicken and dumplings sound wonderful.

My recipe goes like this....

1 can of Sweet Sue Chicken and Dumplings

Open can... dump in bowl.... add small can of peas & carrots.... microwave til bubbly hot... eat

MORNING MONKEYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's nearly lunch time!
I made chicken and dumplings,and some buttered cornbread.... 
Now hubby just told me he had rather have pizza.  i am not cooking again for two days. 

Oh Trimmy - post your recipe for the chicken and dumplings?  They are my favorite.

Sorry it took so long.I was drinking some coffee with hubby.

I like the old fashion dumplings,usually mixed like these on Cooks.com

1 (4 lb.) stewing chicken
1 tbsp. celery flakes
1/2 tsp. onion flakes
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. season salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 med. carrot, sliced

Cut chicken up and cover with water. Add remaining ingredients; cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 2 hours. Cool in broth, then remove meat from bones. Return meat to broth and bring to a boil. Add dumplings and cook.

2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. season salt
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk

Sift flour, measure and sift again with baking powder and season salt. With pastry blender cut shortening into flour until it resembles cornmeal. Add milk and stir until dough forms a ball and leaves the side of the bowl. Turn out on lightly floured board. Roll dough into 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into 1/2 x 4 inch strips and drop onto chicken in boiling broth. Cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes. Serves 6.

Now we need some dessert!

Yikes JSM I can see them here but not in the middle of your town. 

I think them tearing up the woods where In and Out and the other places being built are bringing them closer to the apartments. Also, I think maybe people are feeding them too.  I used to hear them when I first moved in years ago, but once the tore the woods up, never have seen or heard one since. Evidently they are not afraid of people, because I over heard someone saying the coyotes were trying to come up to her and the dogs.

I know, very scary. The lady walks her dogs around 5:30 so I bet she was scared to death.  I remember one time driving to my old rink and there was this coyote just walking down the road like she owned the road.

  Thanks 4 Donks, that is the best thing about donkeys!!!!! They are coyote killers!!! Thank God Josef never got kicked, he loved harrassing donkeys. 

It was the coyotes that almost killed him years ago. Thankfully, a great vet loved animals enough to come into his clinic on a holiday night to save my baby. He gave me 12 more years with Josef.

  They found the little boy that was taken by his crazy mom in Little Elm, arrested the mom!!!! He is back with his dad.

Mom told Dad he would never see the boy alive.

So glad and thankful he was found safe and sound. Thank God they issued an Amber Alert on him.

  I know, because remember that baby the parents through off the bridge in Little Elm a year or two ago. That was the first thing I thought of when I heard he was missing. So glad he is safe.
