My Mom's mother was awesome.  I still wear her red winter coat.  It's like a swing coat, so "in" -- a woman a head of her time.  She's been gone almost 20 years, but seems just like yesterday I was talking with her or spending the night at her home.  Miss her, but so glad she is "whole" again.

Oh, Sister, I always wished I had a coat just like that, it is my dream coat!  What a special way to remember your Grandmother, it is like being wrapped in her hugs.  I sure know what you mean about seeming like yesterday she was here.  I miss the same things.  My Grandmother was amazing.  My Grandfather passed before her by so many years, she missed him terribly.  I am glad they have been reunited.  I always wanted a relationship like theirs, it was/is my dream.  My Grandfather was an amazing and wonderful man.  I miss him, too.  He was my best friend.

 

Can't wait until your dreams come true!

On Thursday I visited a friend I hadn't seen in a while.  I kept calling him at the nursing home and it seems he wasn't answering his phone anymore.  I found him curled up in his bed, with the rails up and a wheelchair at his bedside.  He did not know me and was bewildered at my presence.  I quickly began mentioning the names of his son, daughter etc. I was afraid he might be frightened at the presence of a "stranger."  I brought chocolates and other treats.  He asked for one chocolate.  Most of my chatter to him was met with silence.  Upon leaving, I asked if there was something I could do or something I could bring.
He asked me, over and over to visit again.  Said thank you, again and again and asked me to drive carefully.  Vestiges of the ultimate gentleman he has always been.  Somehow he knew that i was a friend.  I think it was babybear that recently said alzheimer's is a cruel disease. 

Yes, it is.  So glad you could bring comfort to him.  So many people stop visiting at this stage, and it is so important they continue.

TBM - Did you embroider the little flowers?  The clothes you are making are so precious.  I appreciate handiwork like that - it takes so much time and love.

JSM - Hurry up and let us know if Clyde is laying on your couch yet??

I put lights and red balls on the tree last night.  No ornaments this year.  Actually it looks nice.

I won't go into all about my parents.  Mom has moved in with THE sibling, Sister.  Dad seems to be doing better.  So all in all, all your monkey prayers have helped.  There are still many, many issues with my Mom.

Picture this, I threw away (inadvertantly) a pair of her diamond earrings - too long a story to tell.  So...I had to pay the maintenance guy overtime to come and let me in the room where the dumpster was and I went dumpster diving in all that garbage.  But you know what?  This little monkey found them!!  This is just one of many stories about my last two months...

Really need to get in gear now with preparing for the holiday...just can't seem to get motivated.  Kinda like being at home and doing nothing.

Yuk!  On the dumpster diving, you are very brave.  I remember having to dumpster dive for my girlfriend's retainer in high school.  Your family is very lucky to have you.

It is hard to get motivated when your mind is running in different directions, you are doing just fine...more than fine...hugs back to you!

It's a keeper. Patton is not aggressive to little dogs. JSM is getting him now.

I am so glad that JSM has another dog.  The heartworm can be cured.  From the looks of the pictures, I think that Clyde/Patton chose her.  That always happens.  I think that God sent Clyde/Patton to JSM because He knew she would take good care of him.  I think God sent Charlie to me because I know how to give insulin shots. It all works out.

God's in His heaven, All's right with the world.

  Hi Monkeys.... Thanks for all the kind words. I am going to respond to each and everyone of y'all as soon as I can figure out why my computer is posting too slow.

Brandi love the picutres and I am going to try and put up the video once I get it loaded to YouTube. Hopefully I will remember how to do it.

  Love you all!!!!!! My new precious pup is laying down taking a nap, he is perfect.

He has a vet appointment at 4, supposed to have one at 12:40 but emergency surgery but my vet said to get there at 4, which is when he is supposed to leave.

Unfortunately, heart worm treatment can take some time and expense to treat, depending on level of disease. But with good care and a dedicated owner like JSM Patton should be good to go soon.
