Finally got the darn picture to my computer, now you tube is taking forever to upload the video. As soon as I get it done I will post the picture. I am about to throw this laptop out the window.

  I think something is wrong with my internet because it is taking forever to upload to youtube and takes me forever to post on SM. Hopefully the video will be uploaded when I get back from the vet and I can figure out what is wrong with the wireless. Thinking modem may be going out.  BBL Gotta get him outside and to the vet.

JSM, a new puppy! Good for Patton knowing whose heart to steal.  Already I know he is a smart dog.
Bearly, yes my red grandmother coat is wonderful -- I will share it with you.  Right after Christmas I will mail it to you and in the spring you can mail it back.  By the way, Nordie never slept in the bed with me.  He was an on the floor dog or "his" sofa.  May be just as well as I don't have to get used to sleeping without him.
Babybear - $700 whoa! sounds like bail money for 4 Donks, just in case.
The boyzmom - what an adorable dress.  You are so talented.
Cad, ha! let "the" sister deal with Mom.  More than likely it will grow old very, very quick.

Can't wait to see more pictures of Patton!  What an incredible Christmas present!

Sorry for a late reply, just had dinner. I baked a smoked ham shank, bone-in that we got at FoodLion for 79 cents a pound this week.

It was so good!!!! So moist and tender!

And a great price. Originally priced at $17-something, we got it for $7-something on sale. 9.43 lbs.

YUM!

If you all have a FoodLion near you, you may have the same sale. I recommend it.

Sister--I don't come here very often but when I did I read that you had lost your precious Nordie.  Sometimes I think I can't face ever losing Charlie but I know I probably will and I know how heart breaking it was for you to lose Nordie.  We are just given them for a limited time and then they go to their own heaven.  I believe that when we go to heaven (And I might really be pushing it here for myself!!!) that all the dogs we ever loved and who ever loved us will be jumping up and down to see us again. I don't know if that's true or not, but it helps me when I think of the many dogs I have had who have gone to their reward. So Nordie is waiting somewhere for you--Personally, I hope its a very long wait for Nordie.  So sorry about your loss.

Babybear, thank you so much for your kind words.  I do miss my Nordie so much and it has been deafening quiet in the house without him.  I too believe all creatures were given life by our God and I don't believe the loving Lord I serve will cause any of his creation to fade away, unless the ones with reasoning powers chose not to love and obey Him.  Whether Nordie will remember me or not, I don't know either.  But I do believe I will see him again and that will be enough for me.
Not ready to get another dog.  I'm due to retire in a couple of years (I hope!) and may consider getting another one then.  I just don't know.  Of course, if the Lord puts one in my path . . . well, you know how that would go.  I've only had rescue dogs so we'll see how this works out.
Thrilled for JSM.  That Patton knew where to place that sloppy ole kiss!!!!

Gracious me, I can't remember who asked what denomination I am -- United Methodist.  I am an ordained minister and have been in the ministry almost 20 years.  Second career kind of thing.  Don't hesitate to ask me any questions -- if I don't know I'll just say I don't know, but if I do know -- watch out.
