JSM - Started anew because I cannot deal with the "jumping" when I write?????

The Criminal came from the Humane Society so we do not know for sure her breed.  She looks like a full blooded Siberian Husky and have had two vets tell me that she well could be.  She had a litter mate at the Humane Society that looked identical to her.

She is wild on a leash - no she is a pain in the butt on a leash - and is an escape artist.  Our electric fence is the key to her well being - she wont cross the line.  She has bitten several times - she would never just come up and bite someone - there is usually a precursor to her doing this - like the time the play yard person pulled her by the haunches to get her away from another dog.  Or the time hubs pulled her face out of the dishwasher as she was licking the dishes.  I know it is not right for a dog to EVER bite - but we rescued her and we do the best we can with her personality.  She really is beautiful, alot of fun, we love her and she is REALLY smart.

I wonder if Siberian Huskies are on your apt list?  My guess would they are not - so that just goes to show that you can't judge by a breed, IMO.

Chubbie is an Alaskan Husky and she is the sweetest dog ever.  Her favorite thing to do is pester the Criminal.  Criminal has hurt her a couple of times - but she is not at all afraid of Criminal.

Bless Criminal and You Caddy. Criminal sounds a lot like Josef and yes you only can do the best you can with her personality. Josef only bit me, no one else thank goodness. I don't remember if Siberian Huskies are on the list or not. Good thing Chubbie isn't afraid of Criminal, sad she hurt her a couple of times. Dogs do that to show the pack leader.

Yes sounds like Michael Vick (not really, you care for your animals). 

I had a Huskie back in my 20's.He was so strong,and a beautiful dog.Did the Malamute thing too.Bear-paw Lobo was his name.He had a habit of sleeping on the ex's pickup truck.They have such strong personalities.The last of these breeds was one that was 1/2 Malamute.He would sneak out and run to the school,and you would catch him watching the kids,waiting for my son to get out of school.He was quite an escape artist.He got sent to the country. Life in the subdivision at that time required me to downsize....hence the Doxies.They went crazy up here on the lake. 
Digger is not big,but he thinks he is the leader.

To get insurance here because of the dogs, I have to have signs on the fence and gate warning there are LGDs on the property as well as having the property posted and no trespassing signs. If they ignore all this the dogs can eat them.
Skeeter gets her stitches out at 2:00 and may drop by the groomer to see what can be done to spiff her up.

Howdy Monkeys!

Just wanted to say that for those who have trouble with large dogs (or small for that matter) on a leash, I have the Easy Walk harness and it works wonders!  You can buy it at most pet stores.  It hooks to there chest and prevents them from pulling you since it basically turns them around.  I wont use a choke collar and nothing else worked except this.  It is safe and works great on Leroy. 

JSM - you would love a German Shepherd.  Funny enough Leroy has a new neighbor that is the same breed as Joe and they are best friends...through the fence of course!!!  Leroy is teaching Lola all kinds of bad tricks  LOL

Can, thank you for asking.  The funeral went very well and I am so grateful the sun was shining.
Our Veterans Day service was awesome.  Lots of people help to make the day so special for our living and deceased veterans.  We do part of the service outside wherewe dedicated a memorial stone for all vets.  The trumpet (with my nephew playing) with Taps, the bagpipes with Amazing Grace, etc. just made in an incredible morning.

I have seen those harnesses, glad they work for Leroy. I would love to foster that German Shepherd, but the apartments won't let me. How wonderful Leroy has a friend like Josef, and he is teaching her bad tricks. Miss you Leroy, please post more often
