Can, thank you for asking.  The funeral went very well and I am so grateful the sun was shining.
Our Veterans Day service was awesome.  Lots of people help to make the day so special for our living and deceased veterans.  We do part of the service outside wherewe dedicated a memorial stone for all vets.  The trumpet (with my nephew playing) with Taps, the bagpipes with Amazing Grace, etc. just made in an incredible morning.

YW Sister.  Your Veterans Days service sounds as though it was wonderful.  The Taps always gives me goose bumps, bagpipes too, and Amazing Grace, one of my favorites!  Not a wonder it was an incredible morning.  I'm glad for you Sister.  p. s. - bet you're proud of that nephew of yours.

Can, I have six nephews (not a neice in the bunch!) and I am proud of all of them.  They have loving parents who taught them so well.  I am the favorite Auntie who spoiled them and played outside with them.  But I must say, I am glad I don't have to go out in the cold and watch them play in the marching bands.  I did if faithfully for years, but of that I am delighted I don't have to do anymore.

Hi Can, I love Pipers and especially when the play Amazing Grace. Taps always makes me cry and ever since I was a kid the Star Spangled Banner made me cry. Don't know why. I will say I love Oh Canada, I only know a few words to it so I make up my own.    Nice words, nothing bad.

Memories of good things in the past can do very well I find, especially with age moving forward at such a rapid pace, so I hear ya'!

right now  my old dog keeps farting really stinky farts! what is it with old dogs and old people that make them fart so much??? My 90 yr old MIL farts so long and loud...she calls them fluffies...they aren't so fluffy to me! lol...

we were at a nice restaurant on Sunday night to celebrate her 90th birthday..I took her to the bathroom and she was farting so much! I was in the stall next to her and I said, is that you cause I didn't want the women waiting in line to think that it was me! Then I came out and a young girl said to me very seriuosly..is she alright? does she need some water or something?? I was laughing so hard

Thanks Can, it did. No more injections, but I have to do physical therapy. Told them I could only do it once a week because it is a horrible drive during the day. He told me I couldn't skate, yeah right still skating

Hurray, no more injections!  Physical therapy, a nasty but necessary evil.  Hope it doesn't require too many trip.  Do you have to drive through busy city traffic?

I hope not too many trips, not really busy city traffic, but construction zone 3/4 of the way there. It is about a 20 minute drive. Yes I am still skating, it is good therapy as well as this

Another earthquake in Oklahoma last night, I felt it again. At least this time I knew that my bed wasn't possesed when it started shaking back and forth.

In the midst of my grieving today for Nordie, I realized it has been more than 20 years since I didn't have a dog.  Just need to stay strong and let God take care of this.

Sister, I am so sorry. I pray a dog finds you soon. Started crying when I read this, my heart is breaking for you.

I was thinking the same thing on my way home about Josef. 14 years as my bestest friend. I still miss him.

You are in my prayers 

The depth of our grieving is only equalled by the depth of our loving.
