Been busy for me, but quite pleasant, thanks.

(If I don't dwell on this pain in my shoulder blade I woke up with. Must have slept crooked or something. Feels like being stabbed in the back.)

Brandi, I'm sorry to hear about the pain in your shoulder. 

I've had a quiet day.  I cleared my balcony of plants, furniture, etc. in preparation for winter.
We may be getting snow late this week.

Sounds like a busy day for you too!

I spent the day doing laundry, baking chocolate chip cookies (my hubby's favorite!) and doing some Christmas shopping online and cleaning the kitchen and working on avatar requests and other art projects.

Took 4 Advil and it did not touch the shoulder pain. Sometimes Advil doesn't help for certain pains, I have found.

Snow .... you can have it. We still have so many leaves on our trees and on the ground!

So, I am officially a deer widow - sent hubs up north tonight. Of course, had to borrow my mom's extra truck since his was making a terrible noise and his car blew the engine. That is three cars in as many months!

I know what you mean about vehicles.Same thing around here,never one of anything.
You need to camp out in your jammies and watch movies.

Prayers for all monkeys in need.

Rant time:
9/6 - interviewed with county for job I really wanted. Interviews by boss lady and two other ladies. Interview went great.
9/21 - interviewed with county for a different job with the same three ladies. Interview went great.

Sent customary thank you letters in a timely manner for both interviews.

10/6 - received rejection letter for the 9/21 job I interviewed, only 2 weeks and 1 day after the interview.
10/18 - had 2nd interview for the same job I interviewed on 9/6, this time with only the boss lady. Interview went great and I inquired when a decision might be made. Was told a couple weeks. Again I followed up with the customary thank you letter.

10/20 - announcement made by the county that some services would me merged with the city - services that relate to the job I applied for, and that boss lady would be in charge of overseeing this merger.

11/3 - followed up with an email to boss lady expressing my interest again in working for her and the understanding of the merger. Never got a reply.
11/7 - followed up with a voice message to boss lady expressing again what I did in email. To this day have not got a response.

Talk about frustration. No return email, no phone call,  no rejection letter. Nothing.

Planning on calling boss lady one final time on 11/22. Don't want to appear as a pest. If I don't hear anything by early first of the new year will move to Texas if my wife still wants me after what I've put her through.

CC- remember that things come in their own time - but morons get to be the boss most of the time!  I will keep you in my prayers that what ever happens will be what is right for you and JSM. Know that we are here to listen to you rant anytime!

Going out on a limb here . . . I don't usually pray out loud for people who don't request, but this has been burning in my heart for a couple of days.

Dear Lord, we praise your knowledge of who we are and what we are.  You know us better than we know ourselves.  There are needs among the monkeys which have not been spoken but remain deeply embedded within their hearts.  You know these needs and concerns.  There are some going through the pains of grief, there are those who feel befuddled by life's situations, there are those who feel helpless as they watch loved ones suffer, there are those who are making life changes and it doesn't seem to be going well.  You know all about these matters and hurts and pains.  Help us to place all of it in your hands and to wait with confidence for the answers that always come.  Help us to not grow impatient with your timing.  Help us to realize we are never out of your sight nor your love.  We know in our hearts you never forsake us, but sometimes dear Lord, our minds have questions.  Help us to maintain the course you have set us on.  And when these particular trials and tribulations are conquered with your grace, we will continue to give you praise and honor.  We pray in the name of the Lord of Lords.  Amen and Amen.

Sister, you are such a treasure.  Your prayer a few pages back speaks to me in a profound way.  I am facing some struggles that I can't express and I came here specifically seeking your wisdom........I hope you have the most spectacular day!

Evening Monkeys. Hope all are doing well and had a good day.

I got up this morning at 6:45, went to skate and tried my camel spin (almost took my coach down with me)  Wasn't going to try it, but CC emailed my coach to make me do it.  I didn't know he did that at the time  Some day I will get it, but I have more pressing matters to learn than that darn spin (need to learn a back spin) that is the only thing on the test I can't do to move me up.

Anyways, I forgot today was my stepmom's dad's surprise party, so I leave the rink, drive what seems like 50 miles to the party. He has a lady friend and they live in this wonderful "Elderly Community" is I guess what you would call it. He was just diagnosed with Alzheimers and she is so good for him, takes care of him, watches out for him, etc. I love her to bits. Ms Frances smokes, so she asked if she could bum a ciggy and we could go outside, I said sure. We had to walk off the property to puff on a ciggy.  I asked, can you not smoke on the balcony, she said no you can walk off the property or smoke in your car with the windows rolled up.  I understand the no smoking in the apartments (this place is POSH), but not on the balcony. Jeeze Louise, what happened to freedom to choose? The parking lot is huge, it is not like Ms Frances' smoke is going to waft into someone's apartment across the parking lot.

Then when the party was over, I drove to the Pet Lodge, all the Sound Tech dogs have been adopted except for the "mean" Shepherd. I pray they find her a good home. She is beautiful and sweet, just hates other dogs. Had a good visit with the girls, I miss them so much. They worry about me, ask how I am doing and stuff. They read my mind, know when I am down so that makes me happy. Paid down a bit on Josef, only owe $600 now, hopefully I can get him paid off before Christmas.  My brother jokingly said today I could be driving a Rolls Royce paid in full for what I spent on Josef all these years. Then he said, it was all worth every penny you spent on him. Everyone at the party agreed.  My uncle said I need to get another, I told him I would in time.

Anyways, I am whooped I feel like I probably have driven 100 miles today. Finally ate In and Out Burger out by my grandads place. Got one across the street, never have been. Had to drive 100 miles just to eat one

Yes Can, as a busy day. I do have many caring friends and monkeys. I may go to the one across the street, but we have a Five Guys across from the In and Out I like much better. But it is rather expensive. $10+ for a burger, fries and a drink. I hope the shep finds a home soon.
