Ok all you mam experts - I had my damm mamm done last week and they called today and want me to come back asap (but Friday was the soonest they could get me in) for a repeat on one and ultrasounds on both. Any idea what this means?

Could mean nothing TBM, did you have a routine screening? Just means the radiologist may have saw something and do more diagnostic images and the sonogram. Praying for you, I am sure it is nerve racking.

TBM my girlfriend just went through the same thing a few weeks back - 2 call backs for Mamms, ultra-sound and some other test......She was a wreck for weeks, final outcome, sorry about that your breasts were so dense thought we saw something but twas nothing!

I had read an article about "dense breasts".  Also, one of the reasons I've read that mammograms are being considered done too often is because of all the false positives that can result, which can cause more stress and more testing.

Thanks Muffy! I am sure I am getting all worked up for nothing. I did not feel any lumps or bumps but when they said ASAP it did freak me out a bit!

Evening Monkeys. Hope all are doing well and had a good day.

I got up this morning at 6:45, went to skate and tried my camel spin (almost took my coach down with me)  Wasn't going to try it, but CC emailed my coach to make me do it.  I didn't know he did that at the time  Some day I will get it, but I have more pressing matters to learn than that darn spin (need to learn a back spin) that is the only thing on the test I can't do to move me up.

Anyways, I forgot today was my stepmom's dad's surprise party, so I leave the rink, drive what seems like 50 miles to the party. He has a lady friend and they live in this wonderful "Elderly Community" is I guess what you would call it. He was just diagnosed with Alzheimers and she is so good for him, takes care of him, watches out for him, etc. I love her to bits. Ms Frances smokes, so she asked if she could bum a ciggy and we could go outside, I said sure. We had to walk off the property to puff on a ciggy.  I asked, can you not smoke on the balcony, she said no you can walk off the property or smoke in your car with the windows rolled up.  I understand the no smoking in the apartments (this place is POSH), but not on the balcony. Jeeze Louise, what happened to freedom to choose? The parking lot is huge, it is not like Ms Frances' smoke is going to waft into someone's apartment across the parking lot.

Then when the party was over, I drove to the Pet Lodge, all the Sound Tech dogs have been adopted except for the "mean" Shepherd. I pray they find her a good home. She is beautiful and sweet, just hates other dogs. Had a good visit with the girls, I miss them so much. They worry about me, ask how I am doing and stuff. They read my mind, know when I am down so that makes me happy. Paid down a bit on Josef, only owe $600 now, hopefully I can get him paid off before Christmas.  My brother jokingly said today I could be driving a Rolls Royce paid in full for what I spent on Josef all these years. Then he said, it was all worth every penny you spent on him. Everyone at the party agreed.  My uncle said I need to get another, I told him I would in time.

Anyways, I am whooped I feel like I probably have driven 100 miles today. Finally ate In and Out Burger out by my grandads place. Got one across the street, never have been. Had to drive 100 miles just to eat one

glad the girls at petlodge make you happy.  you have so many caring people in your life. kind of like a boomerang isn't it?  You care and it comes back to you in spades.

Funny about out burger.  Did you like it enough that you'll go to the one across the street?

Yes Can, as a busy day. I do have many caring friends and monkeys. I may go to the one across the street, but we have a Five Guys across from the In and Out I like much better. But it is rather expensive. $10+ for a burger, fries and a drink. I hope the shep finds a home soon.

Bumped into a friend Friday, who told me she was almost finished her Christmas shopping. 
Prompted me to get going, so spent the weekend focused on Christmas shopping and wrapping.
Hubs has been picking golden apples from the site where he hunts.  The lady at the farm is letting them fall to the ground.  My hubs, the consumate gatherer, peeled, cored and made applesauce of three bushels of these golden beauties.  The preps took him all morning and Sunday when I returned from shopping the applesauce was canned. 
Think my timing was perfect, don't you?!!!   

Never been to an in and out or a five guys.  Will look for five guys next time I'm in the States.

Can, your timing was impeccible  I have never had homemade applesause, sounds delicious. I didn't even realize that Thanksgiving was next week, much less looking for Christmas. Glad you got everything done, now you can rest and eat applesauce 

Try Five Guys if you can find one. Their fries are to die for.

Babs, you are so right about breast density and being called back. My sister has them, so she has to have diagnostic mammo not a screening. Me, I am a screener. Our mammo radiologist loves to read my mammos. She says that just hold mine up to the light and she could see right through them

  Totally agree with this Muffy.

And depends on the radiologist reading it. We have radiologists who did Women's Imaging Fellowship, so they have more training than others.

You're welcome, theboyzmom.  I can understand why you're concerned.  It's time for me to make an appointment for my mammo soon, and I had been told by a nurse practitioner a few years ago that I have "dense breasts".  That didn't mean that much to me at the time, I just figured that was part of the reason I needed good support for the "girls".  But after reading the article I linked to you, I have a better understanding of what it means.
