Good Morning Monkey Dears,

Been out of town - with no laptop!

Just catching up with all of you.  I love reading here as it takes my mind off all that is weighing me down.

Especially reading 4Donks' narrative about the goats.  I was laughing out loud as I could picture her, sweet ole 4Donks, with that shotgun on those rednecks and making them climb back over that fence in their overalls with the tobacco juice running down their face - and going to get the sheriff.  Best of all they handed their gun(s) over to her!  And then her sweet Donks protecting her.  Don't cha know she is the talk of the town?!?

Don't mess with 4 Donks - what a wonderful lady.  I admire you so much 4Donks.  And don't forget I am not too far from your neck of the woods - I can certainly get to your jailhouse in a few hours to come bail you out!!  haha

My tree is up with no decorations - who wants to come help??

Morning Monkeys, worked until 7:45 last night, was so tired. I have a very busy day today, new transcription thingy being put into service and we haven't even been trained for it.

I will catch up at lunch. Hope you all have a wonderful day and prayers for all in need.

Hugs and love JSM

Hey JSM,training for new equipment..eewwww.
Try not to over do it.
Trimm, eewwwwww.... is right. We are learning it, but just using it a certain way UNTIL Friday when it changes again or so I am told? Who knows. I wanted to pull my hair out today, plus this afternoon the IT guy had his laptop on the counter and he heard water, grabbed it. Good thing because a waterfall came pouring down from the ceiling above him. It was a mess.

Whew.... tried to catch up. Is there a full moon? We all walked out the door of work today saying we need  for tomorrow.

We learned the new dictation/transcription, but it will change again. Then came the flood from the third floor. Then we have no one downstairs to read films. If it wasn't one thing it was another. Thankfully what came out of the ceiling wasn't the flood that happened in the basement a few years ago    I can't deal wearing the hazmat uniform ever again.

Praying for you all, hope you and yours have a good evening. I am whooped, tired, and still have this stupid cold. I took Mucinex and didn't realize it would make my heart start beating so fast. I won't ever take that stuff again.

Sorry you are sick, JSM.  I hope you feel better.

What caused the flood?

Is the rapid heartbeat a side effect or are you sensitive to it?

Yeppers they wanted me arrested for stealing their goats.
They forgot to mention that I was the one that called them to tell them their goats were on my property and that I allowed them on the property 3 times to get their goats back. They also neglected to mention that this time they didn't get permission but climbed over the gate (trespassing). I explained to the deputy that I admitted disarming them but the gun was returned to them when I escorted them off of the property. The deputy asked if they volunteered the gun and they admitted that I was 10 feet from them with a shot gun aimed at them and they felt threatened. The deputy explained that I have the right to protect my property, livestock and person if I feel threatened. They were furious because I made them walk down the driveway while I followed in the truck and wouldn't open the gate but made them climb back over it. So they were trespassed and if it happens again they will go to jail and if anything happens to my animals or property the deputy will be knocking on their door. I told the deputy he was more than welcome to remove the goats from my property and he just laughed. I will be carrying the shotgun with me for the foreseeable future. I went back up to calm the donks and when I entered their pasture they surrounded me heads in butts out in their protective stance (of course Hobbs was going through my pockets) I just feel so responsible for them...hope I did the right thing.

Good for you!!!

Glad the goats (and you) won this battle!

Poor goat, he looks sad.

They really thought that the cops would take their side???? OMG they were trespassing on your property with a gun, but they felt threatened by you?? They are lucky you didn't shoot them on sight! Please keep the shotgun with you and glad the donks are calmed down.

So glad you made them walk to the gate and crawl back over!!! YOU ROCK 4 DONKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so very proud of you!!!!!!!!!!

Also glad you live where you can protect your property with lethal force if needed.  an angelic monkey

5 years ago I would have been in trouble because I'm not a local but our new sheriff has dragged the department into the 21st century. The old boys looked gobsmacked when the deputy printed off the trespass warning and LE report off his car computer and gave each of us a copy. He said if I saw them on the property call in with the trespass # and they would pick them up and take them to jail. I think they were pizzed because the donks chased them off and they were not going to be chased off by da*ned donks again. They were going to shoot the goats, butcher them and just take the meat with them...over my dead body !!!!!

That's just not right.  Good for you 4D!

OMG, no wonder they were mad you made them walk to the gate and crawl over.

Now I have a picture of Junior Sample from Hee Haw as the goatsman in my head  Monkey Devil!  Monkey Devil! Minus the baseball cap.

Guess I am showing my age and being from the South knowing about HeeHaw. Some Saturday nights we would spend the night with one Grandma, one watched Hee Haw, Glen Campbell and Marty Robbins. The other Grandma watched Lawrence Welk on Saturday night.

an angelic monkey I always hated it as a kid, but now if I see any of those shows including Lawrence Welk, I will watch them.

Much better visual than mine. When they were standing there with the gun and tobacco juice dribbling into their beards talking about butchering the goats I could hear dueling banjos in my head.

It all sounds like a horror show.  I know you can take care of yourself, but I am saying some prayers for your safety.

What azzes (no offense to the donkeys!) -who in the world does not know that you have the right to protect yourself and they can not trespass?  I am proud of you girl! We have to protect our own and YES you did the right thing.

I keep reading about the protective stance, but I am not quite sure what you mean, 3D.

You are right TBM, they were ignorant for sure and ignorance of the law is NO excuse.  I just hope they are not ignorant enough to come back and do something else.

Good morning everyone,
Today is the first day of my temporary parttime job for Christmas season.  I need the extra money in case 4Donks has to be bailed out (not really, just helping my Mom with her medicine).  Gotta stay focused and not spend my money as I will be working in a jewelry store.  Kinda excited to be doing something else.  Wish me luck!
Hope everyone has a beautiful and blessed day.

Good luck, Sister.  Gosh, I wish I lived closer so I could make a visit.

Can you please share your denomination with me?  If it is too personal, I understand.  Looking for a church with a nice community and an inclusive and tolerant feel.  I am not doing a good job of explaining, but I know what I mean.

Thanks!

Your family is so very lucky to have you!

I agree with you,and also I would keep a camera along with a pistol on my person at all times. That's how I roll over here now.

Great idea, I hope it is a video camera.  I am so sorry you have to go through this, Trimm.  You are welcome to stay with us any time you need to.  Even if you want to get away for some time, come over.  We would love it!

I think 4D was carrying a shotgun.  She is amazing.  You are both amazing, and I am proud to know such women.  Yup, having ballz is nothing compared to having a uterus!  Way to go monkey ladies!

Bearly

The protective stance explained

Their heads are against me one in front, one in back and one on each side of me. That way they can protect me from an attack from any direction by kicking sh*t out of anything that is a danger to me. Their kicks from their back legs can be deadly.
They will take this stance to protect livestock that's why they are used on cattle and goat farms.

Bummer, I was headed out the door for my jewelry store job and they called and said come in on Monday.  Disappointed, but have loads of other things to do (just not what I wanted to do today).  Oh well!

I love to have found time, but so sorry you have to wait until Monday.  That means we have to wait until Monday, too, to find out all about it.  Can't wait!

My Mom's mother was awesome.  I still wear her red winter coat.  It's like a swing coat, so "in" -- a woman a head of her time.  She's been gone almost 20 years, but seems just like yesterday I was talking with her or spending the night at her home.  Miss her, but so glad she is "whole" again.

Oh, Sister, I always wished I had a coat just like that, it is my dream coat!  What a special way to remember your Grandmother, it is like being wrapped in her hugs.  I sure know what you mean about seeming like yesterday she was here.  I miss the same things.  My Grandmother was amazing.  My Grandfather passed before her by so many years, she missed him terribly.  I am glad they have been reunited.  I always wanted a relationship like theirs, it was/is my dream.  My Grandfather was an amazing and wonderful man.  I miss him, too.  He was my best friend.

Good morning Monkeys---

Woo-Hoo.  I won about $700 at the casino.  First time ever, except $1000 in Canada at Niagara Falls about five years ago.  I've won and I've lost.  It's more fun to win.
