http://www.kctv5.com/story/15962122/police-maintain-still-actively-searching-for-missing-baby
 ::snipping2::
Police have been unable to schedule a second interview with baby Lisa's older half-brothers. Joe Tacopina, the New York attorney representing baby Lisa's parents, had said the interviews would occur this week.

The 5-year-old and 8-year-old boys were interviewed by a trained child specialist on Oct. 4 in the hours after Lisa was reported missing. Police watched the interviews via closed circuit television.

Police wanted a second interview and DNA samples from the boys. That had been scheduled for a week ago, but it was canceled by Tacopina. Cyndy Short, who was removed from the case last week, had said she objected to allowing the boys to be interviewed again, saying it would not be productive.

Defense attorneys who aren't involved in the case have said they would not allow the boys to be interviewed again, in part because it would be traumatic to them.

But others content that the boys could have heard or seen something that would lead to Lisa's safe return.

When Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped from her Utah home, her then 9-year-old sister was in the room. The sister initially told her family she recognized the kidnapper's voice but could not place it.

About six months later, the sister remembered how she recognized the kidnapper's voice. This identification led to the safe return of Elizabeth Smart and the conviction of the man who masterminded her kidnapping.

Irwin and Bradley have not spoken to local reporters since the first week that they reported their daughter missing, but earlier this week allowed Good Morning America to film the two boys trick or treating.

Okay, so WKMB and other media outlets said Tacopina would call the police this week, and set a new interview time for the boys, now he hasn't called police and nothing is set up.

Why isn't that surprising? I wish police would get hardcore with them, and subpoena the boys and the parents. Nobody is officially a suspect, yet.

Kansas City Police Say They Haven't Given Up Search for Missing Baby Lisa Irwin
Published November 04, 2011

Tips have slowed in the case of missing Missouri baby Lisa Irwin, but investigators remain active in their hunt for the child, a police spokeswoman said Friday.

One report claimed police had ended their search for the girl, but Kansas City police spokeswoman Stacey Graves said, "that's inaccurate."

"We did not call off the search by any means," Graves told FoxNews.com.

Graves said investigators had not conducted any "large field searches" in the past few days, but "we're still receiving tips and following up on them."

Who did Mike Thompson identify from a photo lineup provided by investigators?  According to Jim Spellman ... it was not Jersey/John Tanko and ... it was not Philip Netz but ... someone else living in the "neighborhood.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Now, eventually, you were shown photographs. We do not want to identify in any way, shape or form the individual that you picked out of a group of photographs, except to say that this is a person who reportedly lives in the neighborhood. That being said, what happened vis-a-vis these photographs, Mike?

THOMPSON: Well, now, I went down to the police station or whatever it was, and they showed me a kind of a line-up picture with six guys on it. And I picked him out of the six because that was the man I seen. And they thanked me, and that was it.

SHERYL, CALLED FROM OHIO: My question would be, the -- the gentleman that Mr. Thompson saw carrying the baby, does his description fit either the uncle or Jersey?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: We don`t know, but I`ll throw it out to Jim Spellman.

SPELLMAN: He does not resemble the brother at all. The brother is much younger, different build, doesn`t match at all. There is some similarity between the other descriptions of sightings of people.

I just want to say, Jane, to be very clear that the man that Mike Thompson identified is not Jersey, is not Mike Tanko. And I showed Mike Thompson a photograph of John Tanko, the man known as Jersey and he said no that`s the guy -- not the guy. I`ve never seen him before. I want to sure that nobody takes that implication away that it`s John Tanko that has been identified.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: OK. SO we want to be very, very clear about that, that the man that Mike Thompson identified as a mystery man carrying a baby is not the man known as "Jersey." Very good to stress that and point that out.

SPELLMAN: .... I just want to mention something. Mike Thompson`s sighting of this man at 4:00 AM -- I`ve been working on this for the last few days, and I`ve met this man, who we`re not naming. But I want to tell you, I`ve just discovered in that last break, we can now report that he has denied to me -- that man that Mike Thompson saw has denied to me that he was there at that time. He says it`s not him. And I know it`s the same person. I showed a photograph to Mike Thompson. So I just want to put it out there that that man denies that it`s him.

GRACE: Is it true, Jim Spellman, that cops have spoken to the guy and have ruled him out?

SPELLMAN: They have spoken to him, yes, and they say -- this is the common language they use, that they have spoken to the person, he answered their questions, and they`ve moved on. They won`t say that they`ve cleared anyone. You know, "cleared" doesn`t really mean anything. They won`t say that. They keep open the avenue to always come back. But they have told us that, yes -- and in fact, they -- about that, that particular individual in relation to that sighting.

Report: Neighbor says he passed polygraph in missing baby case
Posted: Nov 03, 2011 11:25 AM PDT
Updated: Nov 03, 2011 5:17 PM PDT

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - A man who lives next door to the home of baby Lisa Irwin says he has met repeatedly with detectives and passed a polygraph.

CNN interviewed Wednesday the husband of Samantha Brando, who is good friends with Debbie Bradley and spent much of the evening Oct. 3 drinking and smoking cigarettes with Bradley. CNN is not identifying the husband, who declined an on-camera interview.

Reporter Jim Spellman said a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department confirmed that the neighbor has been cleared of any involvement in the disappearance of baby Lisa. The spokesperson said the department "has moved on from him," according to CNN.

Representatives for the Kansas City Police Department did not immediately respond to requests from KCTV for comment on Thursday.

Considering the elusive Samatha Brando and her husband have not taken advantage of their 15 minutes of fame by affording interviews with the networks ... has an image of these two emerged?

They may have been asked by Investigators to not talk to the media - so if there is an arrest/trial their testimony is relevant.

I agree stayhomemommy.  I want to hope it turns out "pivotal" too. But I have my doubts.    I would prefer the double checking and legwork happen and then the reporting.  I can do without the teaser.

"Contrary to a recent blog post, KCPD is still actively searching for Lisa Irwin. Although we have not conducted a field search in a few days, we are still following up on tips and leads and actively investigating her disappearance," KCPD Sgt. Stacey Graves said on KMBC.com's Live Wire.

The Busy Life of Deborah Bradley & Jeremy Irwin

Baby Lisa was so precious --- so sweet-looking and so beautiful.   Many on his blog have commented on the sad looks out of her eyes in some photos.  I, agree, and she seemed to be concerned with her own welfare.  That picture of her standing at the glass
door while Deborah takes her picture from the outside [ you can see the reflection of Deborah with her camera ] is particularly poignant and it's as though she is pleading not to be left inside by her mother - she's worried.   Oh - to pick her up and cradle her!   This is a truly wretched case.  The answers seem so near but yet are so far away.  Lisa deserves the honor of being loved enough by her parents that they would come clean regardless of the consequences to them.  That is the least they can do.

That is my favorite photo of Lisa, and I agree with your observation. In her mind her mom is so far out of reach.
Those little hands.......sigh.
The "Adult Time" remark from her mom did it for me.What a cop out.

Too bad LE can't offer money for an interview....bet both boys, DB and JI would talk then.  That Halloween jaunt was for the money, nothing more.  Taco is just as sickening as the parents.  Will we see a Veteran's Day media video, or Thanksgiving, Christmas???  The media needs to get a grip on what is important and it isn't these people, not until they talk.

Could it be just another lie that the boys heard something that night?  DB is the one who stated that, and upon further questioning of what they heard, she didn't want to ask them, for fear of upsetting them.   I don't think they heard a darn thing, and if LE spoke with them, another lie would be revealed.  moo

Another great video someone made of the local area - driving from Irwin house to dumpster fire to 4:15 am sighting at gas station so you get a real feel for the woods  and roads.  He ends up at the River giving you an idea of the distance if on foot and the river itself.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NM-Xb-Xe0hg

Jimspellmancnn also had a tweet about a public search tomorrow of the area near the gas station as well as some other interesting things.
