I was watching the government news network yesterday morning and their was a show with two women hosts talking about how women will soon hold the majority (more than 50%) of the jobs in the 'new economy'.  Women are better suited to hold positions in the 'new economy'.  'People are finding out that new moms are great problem solvers...thus, better suited to flourish in the 'new economy'.

Huh?

What about yesterday's moms?  Old people?  Single people?  Where do they go in the new economy?

I heard earlier this week that some want to give people free diapers.  You can't buy diapers with food stamps, etc.

Huh?

What do the poor get 'free' already?

Free from government (may vary based on location) - abortion, adoption, housing, food, 3 meals a day for their kids in school, energy payments, transportation, medical, school vouchers, cash grants for school supplies, education, cash for incidentals, the list goes on...

Free from charity - food pantry, medical care, transportation, help with energy bills, clothing, housing, energy payments...

Now they need free diapers?

Over time, I've known young women who for economy or environment (or both), used cloth diapers.  They laundered at home or had a service.  Some, even made the diapers themselves.  On inherited a supply of cloth diapers her mother made and used for her and her brother.

In this day and age, why does anyone need free diapers?  What do they get free next?  A maid?  A RN to take care of their children?

New moms are problem solvers?  Going to lead the new economy?  And, they can't figure out how to provide diapers for their children?
I know lots of moms, of all income levels who have figured this out.

In some places, every day around the globe, new moms figure out waste control without a Walmart, quickiemart, or government assistance.

There are new moms (and dads) everywhere - migratory peoples in Africa, South America, North America, Asia...

There are new moms that live in places without running water, washers, dryers, disposable or cloth diapers...

Are the free diaper moms the ones that are better suited to lead us in the 'new economy'?

What happened to environmental concerns?  A green planet?

It doesn't do any good to hate anyone,
they'll end up in your family anyway...
