26 Year Old Diana Duve Missing Since 6/19/14 in Vero Beach, FL … Missing and Endangered Adult

26 year old Diana Duve has been missing since Thursday, June 19, 2014 in Vero Beach, Florida. Duve was last seen Thursday night around 9:30pm near the Kilted Mermaid Restaurant, located at 1937 Old Dixie Highway in downtown Vero Beach. Police say they may be together in either a black 2013 Nissan Altima or a 2002 Gold, two-door Honda Accord. Duve was last seen wearing a black dress. She is white, approximately 120 pounds, 5 feet 3 inches  with brown hair and hazel eyes.

UPDATE I: Diana Duve was last seen early Friday morning, June 20, at the What-A-Tavern Restaurant in Vero Beach with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, 31 year old Michael David Jones. Police consider Duve a Missing and Endangered Adult as she is a nurse and did not show up for her 7 p.m. shift Sunday night. Police suspect foul play.

    Vero Beach police say 26-year-old Diana Duve is missing and suspect foul play may be involved.

    Police say she was last seen early Friday morning at the What-A-Tavern Restaurant in Vero Beach with who they call her on-again, off-again boyfriend, 31-year-old Michael David Jones.

    Police say they may be together in either a black 2013 Nissan Altima or a 2002 Gold, two-door Honda Accord.

    Jones was last seen wearing a white Oxford shirt. Police say he is white, 6 feet with short dark hair and dark rimmed glasses.

Foul play is suspected in the disappearance of a 26-year-old woman who was last seen with her boyfriend early Friday on Royal Palm Pointe, a police spokesman said Sunday.

Diana Duve, of Vero Beach, was last seen at 1:15 a.m. Friday leaving the What-A-Tavern Restaurant, at 58 Royal Palm Pointe, with Michael Jones, of Vero Beach. He also is missing and hasn’t been heard from and neither of their vehicles have been seen, police said.

When last seen at the restaurant, “They appeared normal,” said police spokesman Officer John Morrison. “They were together” in what had been an off-and-on dating relationship.

    Police in Fort Pierce arrested a man believed to be the last person to see a woman who has been reported missing in Vero Beach.

    Michael David Jones, 31, was taken into custody early Monday morning for violating probation stemming from a previous arrest for aggravated stalking.

A missing persons case came to a sad end after the body of a 26-year-old Vero Beach woman was discovered in the trunk of her own car.
 


Duve had recently moved out of Jones' apartment and back in with her parents.
 
Detectives talked with Jones' neighbors Monday trying to find out how he managed to get back to Vero from Melbourne where Duve's car was left in a shopping center parking lot of Babcock Road.
 
Pings from Jones' cell phone led investigators to Duve's car, and to Jones, who was found at a Fort Pierce motel.
 
"It's essentially like a GPS tracker where we were able to get a search warrant for that," said the chief who added it was the first time they had used this type of technology in a case.
 
Jones has not been charged with the disappearance of Duve only with violating his probation from a 2012 case in Broward County where he was convicted of aggravated stalking with a firearm.  A condition of that probation is that he was not supposed to leave the county.
