Volunteers search former casino property based on psychic's visions

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

About 25 volunteers are out in full force Saturday, despite the rain and cold temperatures, searching for any trace of missing child Lisa Irwin.

The search started at 9 a.m. from the Chouteau Bridge over to Highway 210, most of it on the Cerner property that was formerly Sam's Town Casino.

The search area was based on the vision of a psychic from Texas. She said she saw a river by a tower and other elements that locals connected to this property.

Police have conducted multiple searches in the seven weeks since Baby Lisa disappeared, but they said they will not be participating in this one.

The search is centered around the Old Sam's Town Casino, next to the BNSF Railroad tracks and Missouri River. So far the search has turned up nothing but the concern of the BSNF Railroad Police.

The Search may continue later today around the Choteau Bridge where Search Organizer Edith Fine-Duskin, says a psychic in Texas told her she saw a vision of a baby being thrown off a bridge.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

About 25 volunteers are out in full force Saturday, despite the rain and cold temperatures, searching for any trace of missing child Lisa Irwin.

The search started at 9 a.m. from the Chouteau Bridge over to Highway 210, most of it on the Cerner property that was formerly Sam's Town Casino.

The search area was based on the vision of a psychic from Texas. She said she saw a river by a tower and other elements that locals connected to this property.

BBM, that's a pretty safe vision in KC and any city with a good-sized river.  As are bridges. That said, if they find her there then I will have to pay more attention to this psychics visions in the future.

Instead of running the people off WHO ARE SEARCHING FOR A MISSING BABY, they should be joining in as they know the areas around the tracks, like culverts, drainage pipes, etc.

I don't know.  Given the way the case has gone so far, I can see the attys crying foul over anything that was found by a volunteer.  Maybe LE is thinking that they need to control any evidence found to protect the integrity of the case?

Missing Baby Lisa Irwin: Volunteers Search Closed Casino, But Are Police Giving Up?

The search Saturday seems to be one of the few leads in the disappearance of baby Lisa Irwin in the past week. Although police have received over 1,000 tips and leads since the disappearance of the child, leads have begun to dry up. 

"It doesn't mean it can't warm up in the future," former FBI agent Jeff Lanza told KCTV 5. "It just means cold right now... As leads come in, they will take action when action is needed."

Police insist that they have not given up on baby Lisa Irwin, reports The Associated Press. However, a command post set up for police and FBI agents to investigate the disappearance of missing baby Lisa Irwin has been shut down, Kansas City police reported Wednesday. 

Detectives have been moved from their outpost back to their old offices. Young told KCTV 5 that, nonetheless, the case remains open and police continue to investigate.

"There is still work being done on the case," Young said Wednesday, reports the AP. "It's not to say there has been neglect on the other cases, but there has been a heavy workload for detectives who weren't assigned to the command post ... This will get things more back to normal."

Police also say they have to turn their attention to other child abuse and neglect cases that have come in since Lisa's disappearance. The Kansas City Crimes Against Children Unit currently has more than 200 cases, so it would be difficult to keep numerous local and federal agents focused on Lisa Irwin.

Still, Young insists that police will not push aside baby Lisa's case. Seven or eight detectives remain assigned to her investigation, but they will also be looking at other cases. 

"The people who are working this are not going to let this go," Young told the Kansas City Star. "But we have other cases and other victims."

Good grief   , that's a bunch of words to say nothing.  I wonder if the whole video thing is because they were on private property without permission or the video shows faces of the BNSF workers.
