I'm now in contact with the mystery phone man and his father, who lives in Platte City. The mystery phone man, Dane texted me: "I'm just being thrown into a mix of people trying to push blame off of themself to keep face." More to come. Dad said Megan Wright has story wrong. She claimed Dane had phone night mystery call was made by phone taken from Baby Lisa home.

“The truth will rise to the top,” the mystery phone man, Dane said.  “I have no connection with Megan Wright or the missing child.”

 The NBC Action News Investigators spoke to the man’s father on the family’s front porch and exchanged texts messages by phone with Dane.

A woman with whom he was in a relationship accused the man of threatening to kill her in a restraining order issued in September.

“Every day I have been scared and terrified to go home at night,” the victim told the court in a written statement.  He says he has nothing to lose and he’ll be satisfied once I’m dead.”

The man declined to answer follow up questions, specifically whether he answered the 11:57 p.m. call the night Baby Lisa disappeared.

“Sure he did have the phone, yeah,” said the man’s father in a brief exchange with the NBC Action News Investigators.  “He was at the house (where the phone’s owner lived).  I’ll give you that.”

Dane said he had been out of town hunting until yesterday, but had been interviewed by police before that.

“The police have contact with me and have so the whole past month,” Dane texted.  “I just hope we can focus the important point of finding the missing child.”

“I used Megan’s cell phone to have my phone turned on and some rides lined up for the next days of moving into my new place,” Dane texted.

Megan Wright, the owner of the phone that received the call the night Baby Lisa disappeared, is Dane’s former roommate.

She had a onetime relationship with a handyman who worked in the neighborhood who is now in jail on unrelated charges.

Thanks to you and Muffeybee for the maps to the archives. I was afraid they got lost.  There's no better place to reasearch what was said, done etc. than scared Monkeys...this team doesn't miss much.

I'm not real impressed with this Ron Rugen, PI guy. I get the feeling he's just trying to hit the spotlight for free advertising and doesn't really know what he is talking about.  We're likely to get more misinformation than dependable leads from him. We've got better investigators on Scared Monkeys.

Attorneys trade barbs over baby Lisa’s brother

A lawyer working on a custody issue smoldering at the margins of the missing baby Lisa Irwin case fired back Wednesday at comments made by another attorney the day before.

The back and forth started Tuesday, when a lawyer representing Lisa’s parents, Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin, complained about a custody petition filed by attorney Dorothy L. Savory.

Savory represents Rasleen Raim, the mother of Jeremy Irwin’s 8-year-old son, who is a half-brother to Lisa, the baby reported missing from her Northland home six weeks ago. Raim is seeking temporary custody of her son to care for his “safety, comfort and peace of mind.”

Attorney Joseph Tacopina, who represents Lisa’s parents, on Tuesday described the petition against Jeremy Irwin as “unbelieveable” and accused Raim of “trying to glom on to her 15 minutes” of fame in the high-profile case.

I'd like to know 'which' phone made the call.  DB says two of them had no service and so she was using one her dad gave her.  If its true that two had no service, then the Daddy Netz phone has to be the one that made the call.  Only thing is...LE has never said which phone did the calling and that makes me go hmmmmmmmm.

In the OCT 6 interview titled "parents answer questions of local media", Bradley states, "ONE phone didn't work". I also want to know which phone made the call.

It is said the phone was within 1/3  mile radius of home. This puts those phones very close, if not, right at the Irwin Home. 1/3 mile is about 1700 ft or 570 yards...maximum distance from home.

My hunch is the phone call came from within the home.

It's possible the phones were passed off to somebody else for disposal (batteries removed) around 3:30am.

Or they were hidden (w/o batteries) till they could dispose of them.

He had Megan Wright's phone but more important he is stating that the phone received a call?  Well who was it Dane?  Who called Megan's phone?  Received implies that he spoke with someone?  No?

I don't think grandfather netz's phone had service either because Deborah was transferring her service (albeit it interrupted at the time) to his old phone.  Verizon, which I believe is the carrier for the Irwin/Bradley phones, will NOT let you change one phone for another without the past due amount being paid to reinstate the service.  I just called them and verified this information. 

my Dad gave Debbie his old plain jane phone that has NO way to collect contact information on it. Debbie transferred the service from her old phone to the one that my Dad (her Grandpa) gave her. When she went home later that night she had both of her phones out and started coping numbers one by one into the phone she got from her Grandpa. She didn't get them all done of course so she left them on the table. Jeremy's PERSONAL cell phone was also on the table. These 3 phones were the ones that were stolen."

BBM - That could not have happened.  If there service was suspended, then all three phones were unusable. 
So now you can't believe what Lisa's father says either.  He is either lying or misinformed based on what Lisa has told him.

I think the phone was functional, but not activated under the grandfather's plan.  It maybe speculation on my part, but most people don't have unused activated lines and phones on their account that would just amount to extra monthly charge.  Again, that is just my interpretation.    It was David Netz who made the comments on his FB regarding how Deborah acquired the additional phone.  He then changed his FB status to private, so all that is available about the phone to my knowledge, is what I have cited.
