Jerry Sandusky Hey Oprah ... Wanna Talk?

Jerry Sandusky and his wife are kicking around the idea of doing a major TV interview TOGETHER ... but first, he must decide ... Oprah or Barbara Walters??

Attorney Joe Amendola reportedly told PennLive.com, Jerry and Dottie Sandusky are "considering speaking together publicly after the new year ... either to Oprah Winfrey, '60 Minutes,' 'Rock Center' or Barbara Walters."

It's unclear if anyone has actually made an offer to the Sanduskys ... or if it's simply wishful thinking on the part of Amendola.

 This article is quite interesting.

Sandusky civil case filed in federal court
December 28, 2011
By MARK MARONEY, Williamsport Sun-Gazette
December 28, 2011

An insurance company filed a civil complaint in U.S. Middle District Court here Friday arguing that it should not have to pay legal expenses or claims connected to the alleged misconduct of Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State assistant football coach facing numerous child molestation charges.

The Federal Insurance Co. claims in the document that it should not have to cover any civil fees incurred by the Second Mile Foundation related to Sandusky.

I wonder if the use of the office on PSU campus during that period of time by The Second Mile Charities and particularly Jerry Sandusky can be verified during the time frame in the article below?

Teen Accuses Ex-Penn State Coach Sandusky of Raping Him at Charity Camp on Campus
By Jana Winter
December 30, 2011

A teenager says he was raped by Jerry Sandusky inside his office in Penn State University’s football building in 2004 — two years after the ex-football coach was said to have had his campus keys taken away and was banned from bringing children into the building, the boy’s lawyer told FoxNews.com.

The now-19-year-old says Sandusky sodomized him when he was 12 years old and attending a summer camp program on the Penn State campus run by Second Mile, Sandusky’s charity organization. The accuser has initiated a civil suit against Sandusky, Second Mile and Penn State University.

The Attorney General’s office is investigating the allegations, FoxNews.com has learned, though a spokesman from the AG’s office declined to comment.

The statute of limitations for criminal charges in such cases is 12 years after the child's 18th birthday.

It appears there's some confusion in the numbers of victims having come forward.

Report: Accuser No. 12 sues Sandusky
December 30, 2011

A man who claims he was plied with whiskey and sexually abused as a child by former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky has become the second accuser to file a civil lawsuit against him, his lawyer said Thursday.
Attorney Charles Schmidt told Penn State's student newspaper, The Daily Collegian, the lawsuit was filed Dec. 22 in Philadelphia County.

The alleged victim is the 12th person to bring a claim of sexual abuse against the former longtime defensive coordinator. The 20-year-old man's claims were reported earlier this month by The Harrisburg Patriot-News, with Schmidt saying at that time a lawsuit was likely.

"We hope to gain some sense of justice," Schmidt said. "[The lawsuit] is more of an act of getting back for what happened to him."

Schmidt said he also plans to file a criminal complaint within the next month, which would go into greater detail about the allegations.

The man, who was 12 at the time of the alleged incident, claims he was abused once in 2004 in the Penn State football building. The man had been involved with Second Mile, which Sandusky founded in 1977 to help underprivileged kids.

It is the second civil lawsuit filed against Sandusky, Penn State, and Second Mile related to the alleged molestation.

Erickson to hold alumni forums By Anne Danahy
January 1, 2012

Penn State President Rod Erickson has fielded questions from students, faculty and politicians about the university’s response to the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Next up are alumni, and not all of them are happy with how the university has handled things so far.
On Jan. 11, the university will hold the first of three town hall meetings giving Penn State graduates a chance to ask Erickson questions and weigh in with their opinions about the scandal.
That meeting will start at 7 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Pittsburgh. Another meeting is scheduled for Jan. 12 in Philadelphia, and a third for Jan. 13 in New York City.
University trustees appointed Erickson Nov. 9, to take over from former President Graham Spanier, who was removed from the job. Trustees announced the decision the same night they said football coach Joe Paterno had been fired.
The turnover stems from the charges that former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky sexually assaulted 10 boys.
Two former top university administrators are facing perjury charges for their testimony to a grand jury investigating the allegations.

Penn State spokeswoman Lisa Powers said the meetings are “being held as a way to continue President Erickson’s commitment to good communications and his promise to listen to all within the Penn State community, including staff, faculty, students and alumni.

I find it interesting there's an organized group to protest the WBC, called "Occupy WBC".

Church Protests Penn State at Bowl Game
Dallas's Ticket City Bowl drew thousands of University of Houston and Penn State fans. And, with recent allegations against former Penn State Coach Jerry Sandusky, the game also drew protesters.

January 2, 2012

As Penn State fans made their way towards the Cotton Bowl Monday morning for the Ticket City Bowl Game, they were met by protesters.

Members of Westboro Baptist Church told fans God would punish them for supporting Penn State's football team.

Church Member Shirley Phelps-Roper said, "Why would we not come here? Penn rape. The coach raped children, and he did for years, decades, while everyone turned a blind eye."

The church group told fans former Penn State Coach Jerry Sandusky had "full reign to rape little boys because of sinners bowing down to college sports."

Penn State Fan Tracie Brett said, "When we got this opportunity to come here, we were all excited. And, then we're walking to our gate and then we see something like this, which obviously is distressing. Especially when you have young children walking past."
 ::snipping2::
In addition to the 30 plus WBC members, another group of protesters emerged Monday morning.

A new branch of the Occupy Movement, "Occupy WBC," has begun counter-protesting the church at events across the country.

Occupy WBC Protester Mr. A.B. said, "You're never gonna be able to change their mind. If God came down today, He wouldn't be able to change their mind. We want to be able to bring awareness to the issues. These people are despicable and we really enjoy coming out here and screwing with them at every opportunity."

The group went so far as having girls kiss eachother infront of the openly anti-homosexual church group. ::snipping2::

It looks like some of the protestors are WBC Westboro Baptist Church folks, who I despise because of their actions at the funerals of our fallen military.

As many as three dozen protesters are outside the Cotton Bowl holding up signs directed at Penn State; others are angry at just about everything, apparently. Fans are reportedly yelling back. It’s just not a scene you want at a bowl game. Due to the graphic nature of some of their signs, I’ll direct you to the Twitpic of the protesters courtesy of Cory Giger.

"Pedobear" Showed Up At The Houston-Penn State Game Today
January 2, 2011

We got an email, telegram-style, this morning: "Pedobear spotted tailgating outside ticket city bowl in Dallas complete with joepa cleats." We figured it was just a gag tailgate outfit that would never make it into the TicketCity Bowl (at the Cotton Bowl) and that we might not wind up with photographic evidence. Boy, were we wrong.

We got plenty of photos. And he even made it on the JumboTron, with a sign (complete with Nittany Lion emblem) that read "Keep Quiet and Don't Tell Anyone":
 ::snipping2::
Lest sanctimonious, easily offended Penn State fans get worked up at Houston fans, a Texas Longhorns message board was responsible for the stunt. They appear pleased with how it worked out.

Penn St. memos show funding fears, secrecy effort
MARK SCOLFORO, Associated Press
January 4, 2011

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Penn State's board of trustees and president focused on repairing the school's tarnished image and braced for financial backlash in the immediate aftermath of the child sex-abuse scandal that erupted two months ago, going so far as to recommend reminding any outraged donors that they wouldn't get their money back, according to internal memos obtained by The Associated Press.

Four memos sent Nov. 14-18 and released to the AP this week describe the school's scrambling response less than two weeks after former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky was arrested on child molestation charges. Two Penn State administrators also were charged with lying to a grand jury and failing to properly report suspected child abuse.
