"Most of U.S. Unemployed No Longer Receive Benefits"

Quote
WASHINGTON –  The jobs crisis has left so many people out of work for so long that most of America's unemployed are no longer receiving unemployment benefits.

Early last year, 75 percent were receiving checks. The figure is now 48 percent...one-third of America's 14 million unemployed have had no job for a year or more.

...Applications for the disability insurance program have jumped about 50 percent since 2007.

How many illegal aliens are in the country?  Two summers ago, there was a magazine article promoting mass migration. 100 MILLION migrants a year, most to the US.  Likely, illegally.

If you come here illegally, how are you supporting yourself?  Welfare?  Get a job?

How many employers prefer to hire illegals?  How many raids in the past were of places where almost the whole workforce disappears?  Perhaps some of those jobs could have been done by able bodied people on welfare?  The unemployed?

Quote
...In the recoveries from the previous three recessions, the longest average duration of unemployment was 21 weeks, in July 1983.

By contrast, in the wake of the Great Recession, the figure reached 41 weeks in September. That's the longest on records dating to 1948. The figure is now 39 weeks.

Contrast this with the end of stimulus and the unemployment rate dropping.  It's almost like they're paying people to stay unemployed.

If all those here illegally were encouraged to go home with their families, perhaps the unemployment rate would drop?  Welfare recipients would have opportunities?  If illegals relocate from thousands of miles away, why can't welfare recipients move a hundred miles to a new home and job?

Every day I seem to hear stores about lottery winners collecting food stamps, food stamps and welfare cash being used/taken from ATMs at casinos, or popular vacation destinations.  Are these really poor people?

When does the gravy train end?  Who's going to bail out working and retired people?  When does the system collapse?

Welfare should be for the greedy, those here legally with their families, and not the greedy and opportunistic.

At what point do illegal immigrants become occupiers?  How do you fix a system where immigrants aren't assimilating?

When does failure to assimilate become an occupation?  When does the occupation end?  How many nations in history gave occupiers and their families welfare, jobs, and citizenship?

Other nations have paid immigrants to leave and not return.  Too many immigrants didn't assimilate and were destroying the host culture.

At what point does immigration become an occupation?

just my humble opinions and recollection.
