Well, Koen has given several statements (according to the Phil papers).

But they wanted some follow up interview and it was a No Go .
Ms. Flanegin wanted that too. She worked in the prosecutors office.
It's in Dave's book.
Art, to me, sounds tired , and he is also playing his cards close to his vest. IMO

Weird that Art Wood didn't know about Jorans book IMO ?

I agree.  I would have thought this book would have been professionally translated, by now.   Rolling Eyes

Not beig rude here. and I appreciate Dana bigtie.. but I am not real impressed with Art Woof right now.  he sounds like a smartass IMO.

Art sounds off tonight..Keep in mind he is not a young guy either any more

True.. At first I was not impressed.. but now that the interview went on.. I feel differently..  Embarassed

I agree Angie . I think he was fairly candid, more than we have heard from some others.

Yes, he did give statements but not after Dave and Art got additional information that lead them to believe Koen's boat was used.

If Natalee is in that ocean lets hope it was Koens boat that was used. They probably just went a few miles off the coast and Natalee will be found.

If Paulus had help from this columbian we hear about then she could be anywhere in a huge ocean.

NJ Court OKs Child's Move to Japan
June 11, 2007 - 6:55pm

By JEFFREY GOLD
Associated Press Writer

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A divorced woman may move to Japan with her daughter over the wishes of the child's father, even though he fears Japanese law won't allow him to enforce visitation orders, the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled Monday.

The 7-0 ruling upheld two lower court rulings in the case of Ronald and Erika MacKinnon, who separated in 2002 after 11 years of marriage. Their daughter, Justine, is 7.

Hours later, Chief Justice James R. Zazzali put the ruling on hold so the court could consider whether to give the father time to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ronald MacKinnon noted Japan is not among 79 nations that have signed the Hague Convention, which seeks to return abducted children, meaning he would have no legal recourse.

The Supreme Court found that Erika MacKinnon had obeyed all court orders.

"We reiterate that 'fear alone is insufficient to deprive' a custodial parent of the ability to relocate with a child if the parent has a good faith reason for the move and has shown that the child will not suffer from it," Chief Justice James R. Zazzali wrote for the court.

Zazzali noted that lower courts had agreed the child's best interests would be served by moving to Japan with her mother, who is a Japanese citizen and has relatives there, according to court papers.

Ronald MacKinnon's lawyer, Michele D'Onofrio, said they would consider appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court. The girl's father is a construction worker currently sidelined with an injury, she said.

She said that while Erika MacKinnon, a massage therapist and housekeeper, has not blocked visitation in the past, she would probably not earn enough on Okinawa to bring their daughter back with any regularity.

"The likelihood of frequent travel, three times a year as ordered by the trial court, is unlikely," D'Onofrio said.

D'Onofrio said she hoped the U.S. Supreme Court would accept the case to resolve conflicting decisions by state courts in similar cases.

Erika MacKinnon's lawyer, Christina Reger, said they would ask the state Supreme Court to put its ruling into effect and let MacKinnon and her daughter move.

"There's not a federal issue here, so we don't anticipate the Supreme Court taking this," Reger said.

That's what I thought he had said once before.  I was really hoping he would have said Satish would be the one he wanted to interview.

I do remember Art being with Dave at the meeting/lunch with Flannegin, and then Daves outrage after the information about Koen was shared with them.

I dont believe Koen was ever questioned about the Boat or it was ever looked at. They received a good tip that the Gottenboes boat may have been used to dispose of Natalee. Not sure who the tip came from if it was Michael Dompig or someone else.
