I wonder if this guy Blonchie Vrolijk is related to Augustin Vrolijk - Government Official, Tito Vrolijk (the guy that committed suicide) and to Albert Vrolijk aka Panty Boy.

The weapons don't look exceptional to me.  Shotguns and a couple of handguns.  Think the article says one SEMI-uzi so none are truly automatic or repeat without individual trigger pulls which is usually the standard for true automatics.

Is private gun ownership illegal in Aruba?  That would be the illegality I suppose with regard to the weaponry.  If it is, then I think seeing ANY weapons would be sort of shocking there.

I THINK THIS IS PAY BACK FOR THE OPEN AND ARMED CONFRONTATION WITH THE COPS RECENTLY.  Sure, has been in the works but ALE decided to finally move on these dealers as they feel they may have been supporting the gang warfare that broke into the open recently.

I sort of doubt there is a connection to pot growing and Natalee's disappearance.

No guns are allowed. So even a hand gun is a big deal and usually more fire power than anyone else has.

I don't think there is a direct connection to Natalee, but I think it's possible there's a connection to the other corruption investigation that has been taking place.

An uzi was in a pickup at that location (along with a few other guns). This was described as a plantation.

The rumor that Lorenzo van Rijn or now Gijn is the illegitimate son of Paulus?  I just never did buy that for some reason, sounded too much like a Julia rumor.

But that's just me.  Most seem to believe it.
