San - one of the Diario articles names all of the folks involved in the bust. (Well, maybe not all of them, but certainly Jacobs.)

All of today's Diario articles about the drug busts are on the M&C thread now (current page). I didn't pick up all the pictures because I have problems with that at work.

The only named "drug" is marijuana, total of 2200 pounds. A total of 5 firearms. I didn't see any other type of drug mentioned.

As for the initials - I *think* it's possible that first-time detainees, or those with no previous convictions, get the courtesy of initials only. Some of these articles use only initials. Remember, there were (I think) 5 separate residences. Two are referred to as "plantations."

IMO, the growers are not in collusion with each other ... but certainly this appears to have been a well-planned and executed LE operation.

Rob,

Did you see Easy's post last night that was a response from the psychic that she was disappointed that they didn't show her conclusion as to what happened to Natalee?

She  told Easy she said that "she sees or in an extremely hot, hot,  hot fire."  I immediately remembered your thoughts from 1 1/2 years ago stating that you thought she had been cremated.  What do you think about that now?

Morning monkeys.

I'm gonna cut and paste something I emailed to Easy about Carla's show. I said last night (and I know people will think I'm a lunatic) that my mom and I are both a little bit psychic. I don't know how to explain how it is in my case, except to say that sometimes I suddenly know something I have no way of knowing. It pops into my head, and my brain says it's true, and so does my gut feeling. Somehow I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that something is true. Other times I only have "inklings" of something, so I might be right and I might not be. Here is what I said to Easy:

I know a lot of people at SM were disappointed in the show, but I really wasn't. When you think of all the possible scenarios they could have portrayed, to do one where Natalee was a victim of drugs, rape, and murder was a GOOD thing.

It's quite possible that they said more, but the show was heavily edited because of people like Taco. No one wants to be tied up in litigation for years. The costs of the attorneys would be more than any profits from the show.

Psychics, even the real ones, don't see things laid out clearly for them. They get impressions of things and do their best to vocalize those impressions. Sometimes they're spot on, sometimes they're close, and sometimes they get it wrong. I didn't expect Carla to give us a play by play of exactly what happened, so I thought she did a pretty good job over all. I know that's not the popular opinion at SM, but I'm gonna cut her some slack.

Comments?

Hi Monkeys

I have been reading backwards again. But had to jump in at some point. This looked like a good place. I also have had feelings. My dreams have seldom came true. Thank God but my waking hours have came real close. De je vous(sp) and I know there are others who have experienced that. Also My sister who is dead and I used to have esp where we would think of something we wanted to tell the other one and both our phones would be busy because we had both thought of it at the same time. Also we would buy each other gifts that were the same. LOL

I did not sign on last night because I was to upset about the attitude of our Monkeys. I have some comments about that.

1. Carla Baron has no control on what Court TV chose to air.

2. Court TV must also be very careful about the names they do say because of lawsuits.(We have seen the evidence of that first hand with the Kalpoes.)

3. We had a whole hour of Natalee coverage. Not just a few minutes of all old stuff. At least this was presented in a different way. It also confirmed our suspicions of gang rape.

4. I can remember alot of us thinking she was incinerated back in the early days. Where did the Columbian necktie guy work?  Did we ever have a picture of him? What nationality was he?

5. How about a side by side comparison of Jaime with the composite?

6. Whether you believe in pschics or not I do believe God does give some people special powers. After all Jesus was a prophet. We have also seen it in the way blind people are able to see in a different way, because of their other senses being more developed in other areas.

So there is my rant for the day. Besides I am sure Beth was greatful for the coverage even though it gave us no additional answers. JMHO

Also would like to see a side by side of the composite with our new Lorenzo photo.

Sam,  I agree with your observations 100%.  Thanks for posting that.

AZ Sunny- I'm not sure what to think. Everyone with any inside knowledge is saying she is in the sea and Tim wouldn't waste his time or the donation money he receives if he didn't feel she was in the sea.

Mine was just a theory.. based on the new crematorium at the time and my conversation with the International Sales Director from Mathew International..

Better question - what do you think?

Putting the Natalee aspect aside and just talking drugs and guns...maybe the island is finally waking up to the fact that there are major problems there.  I know we see this stuff everyday in the U.S. but we don't say there isn't such going on.  If they busted Lorenzo, then some of the monkeys and their sources were indeed correct.  He was known as the local drug dealer, maybe I should say the local dealer's very carefully protected supplier.  This has been said from the early days.  Lorenzo was growing his own weed...why do you need so much firepower just for that?  Maybe weed wasn't the only thing he was supplying.  I would think if he has been able to get away with it for this long, he's into much bigger things.  Enter Columbian drug lords and money laundering in casinos and making of porn movies and sex slavery...do I go on?  Nah!  You guys get my message.  Unfortunately, we can't overlook this when considering the person with power to make a young woman totally disappear without a trace and then keep everyone that knows quiet at the same time.  There is a reason that Deepak and Satish have not spilled their guts on where Natalee is and what happened...there is a reason.

It is widely suspected on the island that the girl was kidnapped, it is believed that others are involved in this, namely the son (Lorenzo Van Rijn) of a VW auto dealer that hung himself a couple yrs ago. Apparently the son is heavily into the drug trade and other things as well and is quite wealthy but kinda off his rocker, he's feared by many on the island due to the fact that so many find him so sinister. His home is one of the only homes on the island which has a basement and the rumors are flying that he connects to Natalee's disappearance.

arubagirl wrote:
I know that right now I'm being an information tease, but it's just ridiculous that I'm afraid that I'm going to be howled out of the message board.
Deep sigh Here goes:
According to neighbours of van Rijn's mom, this lady had an affair with v/d Sloot before he was married to his current wife, and the result was Lorenzo van Rijn. Natalee was held at Lorenzo's house (who lives alone), since he has a basement (not many houses here have a basement). Natalee has been moved from house to house belonging to those that are in the plan (don't know what plan that is). They are afraid to kill her what with everybody focusing on the case.
Look, I KNOW. I KNOW. It's sounds to utterly fantastic and ridiculous. Please don't kill me, troll me, flame me. Not for this. I WANT it to be true, that she is still alive.

An Aruban blogger from another site wrote that some of Natalee's belongings were found at Van Rijn's house...

Lorenzo, saw him once. He's a tall Dutch looking fellow. You guys know more about him than me I see.

#  ElissaBelgium Says:
June 29th, 2005 at 12:08 pm

This Lorenzo is named to be a illigimated son of Paulus Van der Sloot. He had sex with Lorenzo’s mother before he met and married Anita VDS and a son was born out of that relationship: Lorenzo.

Allthough I don’t fully believe these stories, I read that he is a crazy man who gives underground dope parties and stuff happens there that aren’t too nice if you know what I mean.

I just hope Natalee is found soon, alive or dead I don’t care anymore, I just want closure for the family and for everyone involved. This has taken way too long and it keeps on going, I don’t understand how this can be????

I live in Belgium, so I too fall under Dutch Law, gosh, I never imagined our law to be so difficult and other then the American law. I am ashamed to be part of the dutch people because if this would’ve happened elswhere like in the states, it would have been long solved by now.
I hope someone will speak and soon!!!!!!!

Looks like the same guy to me and the same Van. Joran very well may have been picked up by Lorenzos house that next day and this has been one big smokescreen of B.S.

I am not saying they are connected but keep in mind that the bloody mattress and VCB Shirt/Styraphone was found not to far from Lorenzo's area(House)(Grapefield Beach,Colony Area and Savaneta)

I guess I am in the same boat as all of you. I don't know.

I am trying to tie in the influential man mentioned, with the money that Paulus withdrew from the bank, and the  "buried in the water" scenario.  If he used his friends boat, why would the money be needed?

Was he turning the body over to someone else to just dispose of it, in the sea or otherwise (cremate), with the money?  . Paulus may have paid the person money to dispose of the body, and really doesn't know how it was done.  My frustration is we may never know

I am really hoping that Tim is able to find something on his search there.

That's what I'm thinking ... but then, I've always thought he was just rounded up as one of the usual suspects.

* * *

One more time: No fire arms were mentioned as being found at Lorenzo's house.

And one more time: No drugs other than marijuana were mentioned in ANY of the raids. No cocaine, no ecstasy, etc.

I found where Klaasend reposted arubagirl's post about Lorenzo, and most of the info is in a screen capture of a DJTaylor post, which I won't make the effort to copy and bring here.

Here is the link, and you'll find it about 3/4 down on the page:
