Michelle Parker Missing Person

Today I drove down 408 then I4 through Orlando...I have done this many times before but now i think how I have walked those streets for hours at a time, Hung Flyers up every where I could, Climbed trees for a better view, Knocked on doors of strangers, Traveld through marshs and woods, been stoped by the homeless on bikes that asked to help hand out flyers, slept for days in a parking lot....

I did not do this alone...Driving through Orlando makes me think of how many people came to help us. How many people were touched by such a tragedy and wanted to help. How many local buisness's fed all the voulenteers and donated water, flash lights, tape, copies of flyers, gas..The police who worked 24/7, the News crew's who were there to support every need....

Thank you all...

Mark E. NeJame Hi Lindy. No investigative report on this??? We have chosen to allow law enforcement handle this without distractions from the media so we don't anticipate commenting.

Lindy Rose OH....I guess you changed your mind. I was referring to your comment in this article dated 3/2/12...."We've been conducting our own investigation. They've been conducting theirs," said Mark NeJame. "It will be in the very near future we will have public comment."

Mark E. NeJame Mark E. NeJame Hi Lindy. We thought that at the time we would comment as our client was targeted as the primary suspect. As you can ascertain, nothing transpired from law enforcement's investigation and hence there was no need to further comment. Good catch though.

Lindy Rose Hi Mark. Thanks for responding. I've been patiently waiting for your report since March, so I had to ask. Do you know if her case is still active? Have a wonderful day!!

Mark E. NeJame Like all unsolved missing person cases I believe the case remains open. However, I don't believe that any new leads have surfaced. As such, I don't believe there is any activity unless new leads develop.

Thanks Muffy!  So sad that she has only seen the twins twice in 5 1/2 months.  Dale is so mean for keeping them away.  Also at the end, she says the PEOPLE responsible will be arrested and THEY will go to jail.  I find that interesting, but I could be reading more into it than there is.  I still feel Dale and his family members are involved.

You're welcome Tupelo.  Even though there doesn't appear to be much going on in the investigation from what I can see on the outside, I hope the investigation is continuing, and Michelle can be found.  I think the Smith family are involved.

Michelle Parker: 6 months later, still no sign of missing mom

Quote
Late Wednesday, News 13 received an email from Michelle Parker's father and stepmother, saying they are frustrated, but without any physical evidence, they are holding onto hope.

———————————————
"We have no update on her whereabouts as OPD continues to work diligently on the case. There is still no arrest of Dale Smith Jr., as prime suspect, and he still has custody of the twins who will be turning 4 this month.

As a family, we are still looking for that break to come and allow us to find Michelle and bring her home. We have not let time stop us from praying that she may still be alive, even though odds may not be in our favor.

Until we have physical evidence, we remain hopeful. We wear out 'Missing' tees and post flyers for continued public support and awareness. We pray that someone will step forward with information and call CrimeLine at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477), where there is still a $5,000 reward for information leading to arrest.

Thank you for your attention to this important note."

Mother: Michelle Parker's twins seem unhappy with dad
By Arelis R. Hernández, Orlando Sentinel
May 25, 2012

Michelle Parker's mother spoke out on the Today Show this morning saying her twin grandchildren look unhappy with their father Dale Smith and she wants greater visitation rights.

Yvonne Stewart said they "are not the same children they were six months ago," referring to the date their mother disappeared from Orange County.
 ::snipping2::
The children have been in Smith's custody, who has been labeled a person of interest in the woman's vanishing. She hasn't been seen since dropping off her children at his southeast Orlando home.

Stewart is demanding court-mandated visitation rights, saying she has only seen her grandchildren three times since the beginning of the year.

The estrangement is particularly painful because she said she "raised them babies since they were 13 days old," and is convinced Smith had something to do with her daughter's disappearance.

She noted she missed the boy and girl twins' fourth birthday this week.

"I'm not asking for custody but I'm asking to be a part of their lives," Stewart said. "That's what their mother would have wanted."

Michelle Parker case: Chief Rooney says police are 'connecting the dots'
By Amy Pavuk, Orlando Sentinel
May 24, 2012

Several dozen law enforcers gathered Thursday in Orlando as part of a new panel created to review the Michelle Parker missing-person case.

Parker disappeared six months ago, when she dropped off her two youngest children with their father, Dale Smith Jr., at his southeast Orlando home.
That day, a pre-taped episode of “The People’s Court” aired, featuring a dispute between Parker and Smith over a lost engagement ring.

Divers discovered Parker’s cell phone in a lake in Belle Isle, but there has been no other sign of the 34-year-old mother.

Smith remains the prime suspect in the case, Orlando Police Chief Paul Rooney said.

“All we’re trying to do is connect the dots,” Rooney told reporters outside the meeting, held at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Orlando headquarters. “Today, we’re hoping to do that.”

The law enforcers on the panel are not familiar with the case, and officials hope a fresh review will help Orlando police investigating Parker’s disappearance.

Those on the panel include representatives from the State Attorney’s Office, crime labs, and Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

Rooney said they will meet as often as they need to.
