Grandfather speaks out about developments in Ayla case
5:17 PM, Jan 29, 2012

PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- One day after police revealed new information about the Ayla Reynolds investigation, more of her family is speaking out.

Police confirmed Saturday that they found traces of blood in the basement of the Waterville home where the missing toddler was last seen. Police also say that Ayla's father, Justin Dipietro, is no longer cooperating with the investigation. Now, Ayla's maternal grandfather is asking Dipietro and his family to come forward with whatever information they have about what happened to Ayla.

"This family again has gone through hell and i'm tired of it," Reynolds told NEWS CENTER. "I want Ayla home. I want somebody in that family to have the guts to come up and tell the state police who has her, or where she is, so we can bring her home once and for all."

Waterville - A statement has been put up on the Ayla Reynolds Web site that claims State Police have informed the family the blood found in the basement of the Violette Ave home in Waterville is in fact Ayla's.

State Police Spokesman Steve McCausland tells TV-5 some of the blood samples found did belong to Ayla.

McCausland says testing continues on a number of other samples.

Good evening monkeys!

I don't visit very often and can't even remember the last time I posted, don't think I'll ever get over the slore getting away with murdering Caylee, but here I am....

According to IM's post, there was a substantial amount of Ayla's blood found in the basement of her grandmother's home. My thoughts are that the adults in the home the night Ayla "disppeared" and no, I'm not buying that story, were probably "smoking something" in the basement, left the door open and the toddlers alone on the first floor unsupervised. Toddlers rough housing, or simply trying to climb down the stairs and taking a fall to a cement floor could easily be fatal. Doped up adults would likely panic, come up with a story and dispose of a child's body to protect themselves. At the very least this is a case of neglect resulting in manslaughter....I don't think this baby is coming home alive. I only hope someone tells the truth, so her Mom can bury her with dignity....JMO

P.S. For years I lived about 20 miles from Waterville maine and know the area all too well. I

Another ninja kidnapper , wonder if it's the same one that took Lisa Irwin (sarcasm intentional).  I wonder is it just me or are "parents" using the same methods they see other families using to stall investigations? The not speaking to media in and of itself speaks volumes, how many live interviews has sperm donor given- 2? The others were extremely controlled statements, but who helped draft them ...  Not a snowballs chance in he77 those were sperm donors words.
Yep, Ninja kidnappers.....they are everywhere! JI is not intelligent enough (imo) to come up with an original story that he hasn't heard about already in the news.....The drugs were more precious to him than his own beautiful baby girl.
I can't wait to hear him try to explain why her blood was in the basement.  go ahead Justin, smoke another one and it may become clearer....

Blood of missing Maine toddler found at father's home, police confirm

Published January 29, 2012

WATERVILLE, Maine –  Some of the blood found in a Maine home where a missing toddler was last seen six weeks ago belonged to the little girl, an official said Sunday.

State Police spokesman Steve McCausland would not say how much of Ayla Reynolds' blood was found in her father's home in Waterville, where exactly it was found or how long it might have been there.

But investigators told Ayla's mother's family that the amount of blood was "more blood than a small cut would produce," according to family-run website.

"Even in light of this evidence we are more determined than ever to find out what has happened to Ayla and we still cling to the hope that she is alive and will be returned to us," the website said. "We urge anyone that has information about Ayla to come forward now and unburden yourself of the truth."

 ::snipping2::

DiPietro could not be immediately be reached for comment Sunday; his cellphone voicemail was full and unable to accept messages.

 ::snipping2::

The blood was among hundreds of pieces of potential evidence that were removed from the Waterville home as part of a criminal investigation into the girl's disappearance. The discovery of the blood and the confirmation that some of it belonged to Ayla was first reported by WCVB-TV in Boston.

DiPietro, his mother and a third adult were home the night of Dec. 16, and police have questioned all three, McCausland said Saturday.

"We believe they have not given us the full story," he said.

Both of Ayla's parents participated in a vigil Saturday on the City Hall steps in downtown Waterville.

At the vigil, DiPietro declined to discuss the discovery of the blood.

"I'm not going to answer any questions about it, but I will say this: If there was something there, I don't think I'd be standing here with you right now," he told the Morning Sentinel newspaper in Waterville.

Also, on all the FB pages the die hard Justin supporters are now saying that it was probably Courtney and hopefully he is NOW telling LE the full truth, vs the nonstop denials and delusions we had been seeing, well except for Angela Harry the nutjob of course.

Missing toddler’s grandfather pleads for new information
Posted: Jan 30, 2012 2:20 AM CST Updated: Jan 30, 2012 2:35 AM CST

PORTLAND, ME (CNN/WCSH) – The maternal grandfather of missing toddler Ayla Reynolds is pleading for information about what happened to her after police confirmed traces of her blood were found in the Waterville home where she was last seen.

"Every day it's hard. Every day it's hard not knowing where she is," said Reynolds

Police also said Ayla's father, Justin DiPietro, is no longer cooperating with the investigation.

Ron Reynolds is sick of waiting for the truth about what happened to his granddaughter. He said he has always believed that DiPietro and his family knew more about Ayla's disappearance than they were letting on.

"That someone came in that back door, snuck in her bedroom, took her, vanished in the middle of the night and none of those three adults heard of saw anything. That's very frustrating. We think they know more than they're telling us," said Maine State Police Spokesman Steve McCausland.

That whole  paternal family is covering for each other. Why? What do they have to lose? I think Granny was the icing on the cake when she recanted her story about whether or not she was at the home that night.....that nailed my suspicions of JD. I agree, I think the drugs have everything to do with this missing baby. Granny reminds me of Misty Croslin's mother also......

At the same time, police are now publicly casting doubt on the accounts of the three adults -- the toddler's father, her aunt and the father's girlfriend -- who were in the home when the then-20-month old child was last seen -- saying they don't "pass the 'straight-face' test in Maine."

"We feel they know more than they're telling us," McCausland said Saturday. "We don't think we got the full story."

This baby was sent to live with a person she barely knew and had never bonded with and folks known to party and use drugs, plus the added stress of two other babies in the home.

Who is responsible for this decision?  Do we know for a fact whether grandma was home that night or not?  There seems to be conflicting stories.

Blood being found is bad news, especially if it was cleaned up and covered up.  Coupled with a broken arm... someone was seriously frustrated with having this baby around and willing to act out because of it.

Why do adults cover for eachother when there has been injury or death of a child?  I just do not get it.
