Some MGM costumes in the collection at the new Culver City Historical Society Archive and Resource Center (ARC) in the Veteran's Memorial Building at the Corner of Overland and Culver Blvd. in Culver City, CA. I don't think it is open to the public yet, but here is a great link and shows Ester Williams's etc. costumes. Culver City is the home to MGM (now Sony Studios) and a few more

IBE - thanks for posting that. I was really fascinated by the information you gave about Culver City. I never knew any of that, and I'm so impressed that you were a teacher on the Knotts Landing set.

I love the old costumes from the old movies.
Grace Kelly was always dressed so wonderfully !
Any time I watch one of the period movies, I have to watch it more than once because I am taking in all the eye candy of fabrics, dresses, sets, etc.

One of my favorite best dressed actresses was Audrey Hepburn.  She was the queen of style.
