Okay Monkeys DON'T FAINT!!!!!!!!

I AM COOKING DINNER FOR CC TONIGHT

We are having lasagna, garlic bread and he is having salad with beets and cottage cheese. I will stick with the lasagna. Beets and cottage cheese make me want to barf

mnnn....lasagna.- do you put cottage cheese in your lasagna?

how's sis and the bakery going?
  Hi Can!!!

No cottage cheese in my lasagna or at least I don't know if there is.... I open a box of Stouffers and heat it in the microwave.

    Brilliant, lasagna in a box!

I thought you were being very ambitious for such an undertaking on a work night.
It takes me forever to make lasagna.  Stouffers eh...hmn...you're giving me ideasa!

Are you crazy Can??? Me cook lasagna from scratch??? That would involve boiling water, noodles, sauce. I'm not that ambitious although I did make a pretty salad for CC last night.

I'm telling you Stouffer's makes the best lasagna
::

o.k., o.k.    I'll look for Stouffers the next time I shop.  At first thought it was in a package, like hamburger helper.  But now I realize it's probably in the frozen food section.

Yes Ma'am Frozen food section. But the Hamburger Helper lasagna is pretty tasty

I have to admit I love to cook lasagna from scratch - it smells so good and I cheat a bit and buy sauce with meat in it. But the box stuff is so easy and yummy!

Well you and jsm have me convinced.  I'm going to give it a try!

Go for it CC, out of cottage cheese or I'd be doin the same.  A GF of mine makes the most yummy beet salad, I've tried duplicating but still haven't got it right (made with noodles & mayo).

I make my lasagna homemade, have only had the frozen Prego one which is yucko.  My sister-in-law has for years had "PREGO" Christmas Eve Dinner, all I can say is so Glad to be 1200 miles away in Texas.......Oh how I don't miss Christmas with the Kellers!
If could could cook homemade I would do it. I do make tasty salad for CC, main dish not so much  Monkey Devil!

Lasagne- I can make a good pan of lasagne (like sketti and meatballs) but I do like Stouffers frozen also.  Never tried the other brands y'all mentioned.  I like the Stouffers with meat sauce - DON'T get the one with the Italian sausage.  Spoiled with Italian sausage because we can get really really good homemade Italian sausage here in the Ham.

Ummmmm.... What's for dinner now?
Caddy I only "cook" Stouffers with meat sauce, the other ones are horrible. Especially the one with all the cheese, can't remember what is is called. Like 5 cheese or something. YUCK

When I was growing up we had to eat everything on our plates.  If there happened to be something on the table that you didn't care for, all you had to do was put one spoonful on your plate and eat just that amount.  Now if you bitched or complained, another dollop was put on the plate, and so on.  If you still refused to eat it, it appeared at the next meal on your plate.  Eventually you got the idea that it was better to just suffer through the first spoonful and go about your business.

I have memories of having to eat beets for breakfast!!!!!!!!!!

Nasty things. Monkey Devil!
Beets for breakfast??? We always had to eat what was on our plate that we put on it. My sister didn't like what we had one night and put a pile of ketchup on her plate. She didn't use the ketchup and my dad made her sit at the table until ketchup was gone. He isn't a tyrant, just wanted us to not waste things

Plus we always had to say "thank you it sure was good"  She was so stubborn she almost fell asleep at the table before she said it.

The dinner really was awful  Even my mama says so

http://www.nutrition-and-you.com/beets.html

Beets nutrition facts

Beets are highly nutritious and “cardiovascular health” friendly root vegetables. Certain unique pigment antioxidants present in root as well as top greens have found to offer protection against coronary artery disease and stroke, lower cholesterol levels in the body and have anti-aging effects.

Botanically, the root vegetable belongs to the beta vulgaris species. Scientific name: Beta vulgaris. Swiss chard is another member of the beta genus grown for its edible leaves.

And much, much more.  Maybe even more then you'll ever want/need to know.  "Beta vulgaris"?!
"Beta Vularis" ?????????? No thanks Muffy  Monkey Devil! Monkey Devil! Monkey Devil!

I LOVE a salad with beets and cottage cheese.  yummy!

My hubby makes the best homemade lasagna.  I don't have time to spend hours in the kitchen so I get Stouffers.  They make a really good mac & cheese too!

Bearly     How you doing?  Continued Prayers for you and the family. Wish we were closer to help you and Cubby Bear

Hi GE!

Thanks for asking.  Dad is in bad shape today.  He may have had a stroke.  They moved him into medical and may put him in the hospital.

He really needs prayers.

 an angelic monkey

Dear gracious Father, we thank you for this new day and the blessings we are assured it will bring.  We praise you for watching over us this past night and are so grateful you will watch over us during this day.  We come before you with troubled hearts for the Dad of our dear friend Bearly.  We know you know all about it as nothing escapes your sight.  Help this family merciful Lord.  Lead the family and the doctors to make decisions based upon your wisdom of the past, the present, and the future.  Give Bearly and her family a peace which only you can provide.  We think these thoughts in the powerful name of Jesus our Saviour.  Amen and Amen.

Thank you so much, Sister, that was beautiful!

You are in my prayers!
