We are getting Molly in 2 weeks...what am I getting myself into?? puppy training..

My 90 yr old Mother in Law was crowned Queen Valentine of the nursing home that she lives at.  it was funny...crown and a robe..there was also a King ...

Molly is your new pup?  Sorry if you said what kind...didn't you say you wanted a lab?  Actually sounds kind of fun, mine potty trained easily.  It was just the other issues - like biting and humping the neighborhood kids!!

So sweet that your MIL was crowned at her home.  I just talked to my Mom - who is in a Memory Care facility.  I will not go into any of it, but put her on your prayer chain, if you will my monkey friends.  It is not going well.  (Not because of the facility, it would not have mattered where...it is just more than I can take at times).  It is more than anyone of us can take.
Caddi, praying for you and your family.  an angelic monkey
Thanks Trimmy - I will be okay - I just don't know how to deal with my Mom. Nothing we do is ever right. And I mean that. Nothing.
Oh Caddy, whatever you do is RIGHT!! Your mom doesn't just know that you are doing what is best for her. My prayers are with you all.  an angelic monkey

JSM, here is a pic of GE's Grand-puppy BENTLEY, tomorrow is his de-manning day.  Hopefully it will take a bit of his friskiness down a couple of pegs, he's a wild little man.

Poor Bentley getting the  ::snipping2::  ::snipping2:: But it is the best for him to get it done now than when he is older. Patton is getting the  ::snipping2::  ::snipping2:: Monday. I hope it takes the friskness away. Fortunatley Patton is not frisky, he is a slug.

What a cute bat dog.  Bring him over.  His ears looks like Leroy
Thats what GE & I were saying about his ears also CC......Hopefully he will grow into them and become a handsome boy like Patton...
His ears look like Leroy, Bentley is as adorable as Patton.

Good morning everyone!

Long night, my friend Dennis' mother is in ICU following emergency surgery for a bowl obstruction.  Apparently old scar tissue.  The bowl had started to die.  Prayers please for Louise and the family.

Thank you for asking can.  For a lady 90 years old she is doing remarkably well.  Is being moved to a step down unit today.  Oh, the wonderful power of prayer and the graciousness of our Lord!

Glad to hear Sister.  Amen and Amen.

Hi Caddy - how was your day off?  . . .and today is Friday
Hey!!

My day off was wonderful - and I worked all day yesterday- so not going into work today either!  (I work for my hub's business- so as long as I am caught up - I have that pleasure).

Thanks for asking!  What will your day bring?

Great to have that latitude and nice knowing you can grab a day or two off when business pemits.
My day was consumed with research on bladder cancer.
Can, not that I can help with bladder cancer research, maybe TBM can help. If I can help in any way let me know. I can always ask my doctors, but they may not have the answers. If you have questions, ask Klaas for my email and I will try and help as much as I can.

Hugs and prayers.  an angelic monkey

Thank you so much JSM.  Your kindness touches me.   an angelic monkey

My bro will begin his treatments tomorrow and I hope the treatment goes well and he can tolerate them.
an angelic monkey Can your kindness and the monkeys kidness touches me.

I pray your brother tolerates the treatment.

Thank you,  I'm so hoping....rang him tonight - no answer...hope he and sil are out having a
nice dinner before he has to face the music tomorrow.

Off to Mom's tomorrow. Got another appointment for tour.

Daughter and family expected on the weekend for a wee bday party for my Mom at my place.  Can't wait to see our grandkids.  Got to get my act together, quick!

Good thoughts to all the wonderful monkeys!

Thanks Trimmy - I will be okay - I just don't know how to deal with my Mom. Nothing we do is ever right. And I mean that. Nothing.

Caddi - Just remember that she is also frustrated and most of the time reacting to her unease. She is not sure what is wrong but she knows something is so she just lashes out. That and the paranoia that is part of the disease makes it hard to like them but it is not personal. My dear sweet MIL called me a honky beeoch whore last time she was in the hospital - right after she got done telling everyone how nice I was. Just remember it is not them talking - it is the disease!

You are so sweet - TBM - I hear what you are saying.  I am just having a very hard time with understanding what is part of the disease and what is personality. My sis and I have studied this a very long time - and we have social work degrees ...the accusations are unbearable at times.

On another note, I have a wonderful dad, husband, children and life so I can't dwell on this noose...

The goats stay in the woods unless spooked then go with the donks for protection. They also go into the pole barn and gnaw at the round bales. I see their hoof prints around the ponds so they seem to be doing well. They avoid people because I don't think people have been kind to them. One thing about having donks..carrying around 65 lb bales and 50 lb bags of food and treats saves a fortune in gym fees.    The dogs are easy in comparison.
I'll keep you in my prayers ..my dad's mom got really nasty and was in a nursing home....she spoke 5 languages and could be vicious in all of them. My one aunt would end up crying every time but we use to make up our own translation of what she was saying..saved our sanity.

Yep, frustrating day.  The tech people thought they had it back but didn't realize there was no data just the "shell".  So when I got home and realized I started emailing everyone.  They just didn't know.  So hopefully we are back up for good now!
