Hi Monkeys  I am back on line. I really hate being without my computer. Lets hope this time they got it fixed. Hughes has terrible customer service. Went out Thursday and the tech didn't get here until this afternoon. He didn't even get the work order until late yesterday.

I sure pray Trimm is okay. And it's internet problems and nothing more.

4Donks lovely picture. Noticed today that all the wild flowers along to highway are starting to bloom.

Bearly I am so sorry you aren't feeling well and trying to do it all for everybody. All the Monkeys gave good advice. But like Can said it's easy to give advice when we aren't walking in your shoes. Prayers and Hugs for you and the family. an angelic monkey

Thanks, Cutie.  I went to my family doctor today.  I have blood clots on the back of my leg where you bend it, I have bronchitis, and a vitamin deficiency.  No wonder I feel grumpy!

Oh Bearly.  My goodness!  You are sick!  Please follow your doctors orders.  Has he given you a blood thinner?
Love and prayers.
can.

I got a second opinion and love this man, he is now my family doctor.  My blood pressure was through the roof, which it was on Tuesday when I saw the other doctor and he didn't do anything about it.  I have bronchitis, yadda yadda, had a fever, he is checking for a vitamin deficiency to make sure (my tongue is burning like crazy), but the biggest news--it is now blood clots, but a Baker's Cyst, he said you can see it sticking out of my leg without even touching it and it is swollen and aggravated.  What a breath of fresh air.  I cannot say enough about him and he was a breath of fresh air.  I know I am in good hands.

Thanks, everyone, for your concern and your prayers.

Today I am going to the funeral of a woman who was my next door neighbor all during my childhood.  With as much as my Mom was in the hospital, she often had to check up on us and make sure we went to school on time.  My son took the day off to honor her also.

Have a blessed and peaceful day (but don't forget to have fun yourself and put a smile on someone's face if you can).

So glad to hear there is no blood clot.  I had a bakers cyst years ago...it eventually went away.

Hope your bp is down and your bronchitis is clearing up.
So nice you have found a doctor that you trust.

So good that Cubby joined you in paying tribute to a woman whose past kindnesses you remember.  Teach, by example, as they say.

JSM & CC miss you both

4Donks and all our Monkeys that are in the path of all these tornado's prayers you are all safe.  an angelic monkey

Trimm prayers you are okay.  an angelic monkey

Thanks GE.  We had a good time together yesterday.  My Mom had a visitor the previous day to assess their needs, with safety in mind, and she looked so worn.
This is all part of the assessment re long term care.   So often they try to keep the person in the home, particularly when client has a caregiver.  I hope they have more compassion for my Mother than that.
Anyway, the young lady was delightful, friendly, and very skilled.  She had Mom's husband, show how he gets in and out of the bath, in and out of bed, etc. and he complied with all that she asked of him except for the notion that he use a walker.
She will return next week to walk him in the hallway with a walker.
She will also send in someone to do some housekeeping.

My dad passed away almost 2 years ago from a form of Dementia known as Frontotemporal Dementia.  It was so devastating he went from a very kind and caring daddy to a mean, confused & nasty person within a couple of years.  It got so bad I couldn't be alone with him, he would become physical and we never knew when he would turn on me.

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/frontotemporal-dementia/DS00874

Frontotemporal dementia (frontotemporal lobar degeneration) is an umbrella term for a diverse group of uncommon disorders that primarily affect the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain — the areas generally associated with personality, behavior and language.

In frontotemporal dementia, portions of these lobes atrophy or shrink. Signs and symptoms vary, depending upon the portion of the brain affected. Some people with frontotemporal dementia undergo dramatic changes in their personality and become socially inappropriate, impulsive or emotionally indifferent, while others lose the ability to use and understand language.

Frontotemporal dementia is often misdiagnosed as a psychiatric problem or as Alzheimer's disease. But frontotemporal dementia tends to occur at a younger age than does Alzheimer's disease, typically between the ages of 40 and 70.

Frontotemporal dementia involve extreme changes in behavior and personality. These include:

Increasingly inappropriate actions
Loss of empathy and other interpersonal skills
Lack of judgment and inhibition
Apathy
Repetitive compulsive behavior
A decline in personal hygiene
Changes in eating habits, predominantly overeating
Lack of awareness of thinking or behavioral changes

How awful for you and your Dad, Babs!  I'm sorry for the pain and dismay your Dad's illness must have caused you.   an angelic monkey

Thank you Can, yes it was a trying time especially not understanding what was happening to him because it wasn't really a memory issue and there is so little information out there except for Alzhimers.

Good morning Monkeys!

Anyone watching the debate tonight?  Anyone feeling discouraged with the candidates?
There are rumours the GOP might put up another candidate and the nominee could be decided at a convention.
Hey Can.... I watched the first of it, can't stand CNN so I turned it off.

I nominate STEPHEN HARPER!!! Can we please have him Can?????

I have read about a brokered convention, not sure what will happen.

You are too cute!  Wish we could share!  alas Stephen is ours!
Too bad Can we really need him or someone like him.  an angelic monkey

dare I say, yes you do!  imo.

Good Morning Can!  How is everything?  How is your brother and all of your family?

Good Morning Monkeys!

Thanks for asking Bearly.
Spent the day with Mom on Friday.  She has an appointment with the doctor today to request he send the recommendation for her husbands long term care.
She has gone from not being ready to put him in long term care yet, to being prepared to have it happen sooner rather than later.  So, I'm happy to see my Mom feeling more comfortable about it.  We keep reassuring her she has done all that she can and more than most would be willing or capable of.  The fact that his son supports her decision has helped I think.

My brother has had his second treatment.  Not sure how that went, will know today.

Can, great news your mom and her husbands son are on the same page at putting him in care.

Prayers for your brother, hope and pray the treatment went well.
Thanks JSM!

My brother has completed his third treatment with no adverse effects, thank God!

Hi everyone.  Thank you to all who have been praying for me and my family.  It means so much.  I do appreciate you.
Very tired as I spent the night with Mom and listened for her all the night.  But I consider it a blessing that I can listen to her sleep.
Will try to get caught up, but I feel so far behind.  Still hoping Trimm is just having computer troubles.
Blessings to you all and I do mention you by your monkey names each night in my prayers.

Going to go to bed. I hate night storms because you can't see what's coming. Anyone that thinks spending an evening in a walk in closet with 5 dogs is good friday night date has another think coming. Thank God for the thunder vests.
Apparently there are 4000 homes without power and hwy 77 (my only main road out of here) is blocked by downed power poles and trees. WHOLE HOUSE GENERATORS ARE GREAT !!!!! I am worried about Trimm...wish she would contact us. Praying she and her family are all right.
Sisters are without power but have a portable generator and made it through OK. Will wait till morning to see if I have any damage from the hail or winds. Thanks for your concern it is appreciated.
With the tornado alerts I let the donks out and opened the gate to the pasture so they could get away from  the barn if necessary now I will be wrangling donks on 60 acres tomorrow. May need one of these.

So happy to hear you, the donks and pups are all okay. That you didn't have any damage. After yesterday I think I might have needed a couple of these.
