We need a 'golfing monkey' now.  I am so glad you both have something you can do together.  Even if you have to give it up for a year, you can still cheer him on for that year, it will go by quickly, you'll see.

Did you forget this one?

Just made you this one also:

Thanks.

Not feeling very well.

Not sure if I have a sinus infection or a tooth problem.

Very painful. Hurts more when I lie down. Sit in bed a lot at night waiting for the pain to subside enough to lie down.

Sorry to complain, but pain sucks!

Brandi so sorry you are still not feeling. Did you try the heating pad on the side of your face? I know you don't have any insurance and that sucks. But could you go the CVS minute clinic? Having so much pain isn't fun. Wish I had could come up with something to help.  an angelic monkey

I am so sorry - there is some nasty sinus stuff going around. I am praying that you get some relief. I agree pain is bad - at night so you can not sleep makes is so much worse!

Brandi, that sure sounds like a sinus infection.  A heating pad might help ease it.  Make sure you drink lots of fluids to flush it out.  Also, hot fluids might help break it up a bit.  This is sound gross, but when you blow is it clear or colored?  If clear, you need something to drain the fluid, a nasal decongestant.  If colored, you're probably looking a an infection and you don't need to let that go for long without an antibiotic.  Be careful about getting vertigo...any dizziness = no driving.  Dr. KittyMom can't housecalls but I'm here for online consultations. lol

Sry....I've gotten too accustomed to doctoring my allergy prone children.  Smile

I keep seeing on the news that a hot item right now for thieves is Tide laundry detergent.  WHY?  Please tell me that criminals are just wanting clean clothing and not that someone has discovered hot to turn it into a drug???

They are stealing to resell. They can get $ 10.00 to $ 15.00 on resale at flea markets and there is no way to trace it.

Brandi,
I used to get sinus infections all the time.  I started using a saline flush, not the netti pot, but the bottle, and I haven't had one since.  It is not expensive, about $11 at the drug store, for the bottle and 50 packets.  I use it twice a day, morning and evening, all year round -- and three times a day during heavy pollen season.  It has worked wonders for me.  I no longer even have to take allergy medicine.
I know how bad the pain hurts.  You may have to go to the doctor and get some meds and after the infection is cleared up maybe start with the saline flush.  Sitting up trying to get rid of pain is awful . . . praying for you and your sinuses.
Blessings.

Tide detergent shoplifted for drugs? Black market needs cleanup

The real answer is even stranger than all that. Apparently, Tide is hot on the black market. Since Tide itself costs $10-20 a bottle in the store, bandits steal it and resell it for $5-10. That’s a Tide-y profit.

Laundry detergent is one of life’s necessities, and Tide, being a popular name brand, is easy to resell. Wisk, Gain or other brands just don’t fetch the same street price. Talk about your money laundering.

In addition to selling it on the black market, thieves will also trade Tide for drugs.

I find this very surprising. I didn’t think a dealer would trade a bag of cocaine for a bottle of Tide. I thought drug dealers were hardened criminals, only interested in cash. I never imagined that dealers wanted their whites white and their colors bright.

I wonder if this whole Tide thing is just another manifestation of the bad economy. It used to be that thieves stole TVs or laptops and sold those on the street, or traded them for drugs. But now those items are too high-end. People that shop the black market are cutting back. They can’t afford a hot plasma TV, or a GPS system, but they need some detergent, so they’ll spring for that. Next thing you know it will be diapers, or Campbell’s soup. You’ll know the economy is strong when thieves start stealing jewelry again.

CVS in Prince Georges County, MD, has put anti-theft devices on Tide bottles. Yes, they have those alarm things strapped to each bottle, and you have to have it removed by a clerk. I don’t want to go through that when I’m just trying to make a quick run to the store because I suddenly realize the kids’ scout uniforms aren’t clean.

Orange bottle, black market: Tide detergent thefts sweep nation
Authorities and retailers across the country are on high alert as a most unlikely product, Tide liquid laundry detergent, becomes all the rage with shoplifters who are reselling it on the black market.

 ::snipping2::
hings you’d totally expect to be branded with a security tag or kept locked up in a case or behind the registers at your local CVS or Walgreens: disposable razor cartridges, Sonicare replacement heads, nicotine patches and gum, that fancy Bumble & Bumble conditioner, batteries, cosmetics, OTC painkillers, Preparation H (no joke), Jennifer Lopez’s latest perfume.

Things you wouldn’t expect to be branded with a security tag or kept locked up in a case or behind the registers at your local CVS or Walgreens: liquid laundry detergent.

Well, that may all change — or has already changed in some areas — as Tide liquid detergent has apparently become a lucrative commodity on the black market where it sells for between $5 and $10 a jug (Tide usually retails for over $10). Aside from being a laundry room staple in households across America, the popular detergent in the bright orange plastic bottle is often also used as currency — “liquid gold,” if you will — in the drug trade. Rick Blake, a detective with the Gresham, Ore. police department, tells The Daily: “They’ll do it right in front of a cop car — buying heroin or methamphetamine with Tide. We would see people walking down the road with six, seven bottles of Tide. They were so blatant about it.”
