Where's this BIG damn Texas storm that I've been waiting for?  Ruby and I are patiently waiting out on the patio for some excitement.

Won't be long CC, really starting to rumble up here!

No rumbling here.  I only saw one flash of lightening and that was around 11:00.

Dallas County Audit Office interview on Thursady at 2:00.  May have to swallow my pride and take a more than 50% paycut.

Hope the storms miss all the monkeys.
Sister keeping fingers crossed for Connie.
Brandi how's your son doing? (you too)
Today I wasted most of the day with the insurance company. Yesterday was involved in a six car accident and the truck was carried away on truck. They were suppose to do the estimate today but it didn't happen...so maybe tomorrow. The guy that caused the accident had no drivers licence, car registration or insurance and spoke no English. The State Trooper didn't ticket or arrest him. His car was totaled and he just disappeared from the scene.....very aggravating.
JSM I hope playing golf won't aggravate your shoulder.

Everyone have a safe day and I'm off to do the donks.

Good grief, 4 Donks!

Why on earth did they let that guy get away!?

So glad you were not hurt in the accident!

Thanks for asking about son and me. I thought I was all better, having had almost 3 whole days pain-free. Then yesterday, I was in pain. Took way too many Ibuprofen, some aspirin and Aleve. Finally got to lie down and get some sleep at 8 this morning.

Son is still on his pain meds, trying to go as long as possible without them. He went 19 hours without a dose, and the pain was returning, so he took another round and now is resting. So aggravating not knowing for sure what is causing the pain and how to get him well.

Yeah, but the cost of living is Dallas is lower than Chicago.

If you move from Chicago, IL to Dallas, TX....
Groceries will cost:
12%
less

Housing will cost:
44%
less

Utilities will cost:
11%
more

Transportation will cost:
8%
less

Healthcare will cost:
2%
less

Check out the calculator at: http://cgi.money.cnn.com/tools/costofliving/costofliving.html

Plus you two are only maintaining one residence, so your overall expenses are greatly reduced Wink

OMG 4donks! Are you ok (well it would seem so since you are posting!) - but did you get hurt at all? So sorry about the truck. Hopefully the insurance will be quick and painless!

The car driven by the idiot slammed into the back of me and pushed me into the car in front of me and that one into the back of the next car etc. and then after hitting me the idiots car spun out into oncoming traffic and the rear end of his car was hit. Thank God he was driving one of those little cars and I have a jacked up truck with a Reese hitch with ball attached on the back of the truck and the big brush guard on the front...his car was demolished. No one went to the hospital...fire department was there because several vehicles were leaking stuff. Paramedics checked everyone out but I always wear a seat belt and for some reason not one airbag on any of the vehicles activated...scary huh.

Thanks for the info Brandi, plus I'll have health insurance and cancel my Cobra of $675 a month.

TBM - I can get you JSM's measurements but she won't trust me by measuring her with Patton's leash or my computer cord.  Once I measure her with that I can then measure the length on my retractable tape measure.  Makes sense to me.

LOL - she can also go to a tux store and get measured or she could go to the dollar store and get a flexable tape.

Brandi sorry to hear your sinus pain is back. Prayers your son starts getting better soon. Just a thought. How long does it take to pass kidneys stones? I know when my nephew had one it was to big to pass so they had to remove it.  I worry about you both. Please take care an angelic monkey

4Donks Sorry to hear about your accident. So glad no one was hurt. Lets hope the insurance people get on the ball so you can get your truck fixed. It is madding when we do what is required by the law and yet those that don't seem to keep getting away with it.  Sounds so much like southern Calif. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing none of the air bags went off. So glad you are okay an angelic monkey

Hey Dallas Metroplex, we are all under Tornado watch till 10 pm.......

GE you've got a nasty bit of storm headed your way, batten down the hatches!

Looks like you've lucked out GE, its skirting you, and headed right for me, dang it!

Be vigilant and keep safe, all you monkeys in the path of these storms!

Sister, hope your tummy gets better. Sorry it has gone on another day.

Sorry to hear about your grandson and his pink eye, GE. Glad he has medicine to help him get well.

CC and JSM ... good luck with the interview and so sorry to hear JSM needs surgery, but glad they can do something to help her in the long run.

Good sized balcony you and JSM have. Must be at least 10 feet wide. Pretty geraniums in the pots.

I recently potted a bunch of pansies for our deck. They make me so happy looking at them out there. The flowers are edible too!

They are so pretty Brandi

I sure hope it helps..she makes it hard to like her right now. I wish that there was even a few minutes that she was settled down enough that I could give her some pets, rub her tummy etc..but when ever I start to do anything like that, she starts her nipping and then jumping and being rowdy...I follow all of the tips that I have been given from obedience class and from what I have read on line, but she will not settle down at all! sigh...she starts her second obedience class, yes, she will be in 2 a week, so I hope that will help us...
