Evening/Afternoon Monkeys.... work has been doing me in and I found out a good friend from HS, her son passed away early yesterday morning. He was only 23 years old.

Please know you are all in my prayers and thank you for worrying about my shoulder and the good thoughts on my flowers. (they are still living, so that is a good thing)

4 Donks, so sorry about the truck, Can, hoping everything is okay with your mom, Bearly    to you and Cubby and hope your mom and dad are doing well, Babs and GE's you both, Caddi, prayers for your family and thanks to you, Babybear and Brandi giving Cookie good advice about puppies. Brandi, thank you for my new avatar, going to change clothes soon. Cookie, glad you are having good vibes with Molly. Sister, bless your beautiful heart. CC, I see you on the couch, thank you for doing the dishes.

If I missed anyone, I am sorry because I was so behind.

BTW... prayers for Hailey Dunn. Shawn's Uncle is a friend on FB with my BFF. He never made FB posts while she was missing, now he says that the media and LE are wrong about Shawn. I think he is just mad that his mom is being targeted since she is Shawns Grandma.

TRIMM.... I MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE COME BACK I AM WORRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking that Trimm may have lived in one of the areas that got tornadoes late February early March.  I hope she's ok.

I don't think there was any real bad weather (which would include tornadoes) in her area since she went "missing."

I thought maybe she lost Internet access at first, since she did not reply to your email.

But this is a long time to go without Internet access.

I know she would not worry us on purpose, so I can't imagine what's up.

I sure hope she is okay and that she will be able to check in soon.

I'm not positive of her area but I know around Mar 2 there were some bad storms.  I too hope she's OK.  Nope this is not normal for her.

oh - I hadn't finished posting.  .   . hope I haven't forgotten anyone. . .

Bearly - I see where you're coming from regarding Cubbys choices.  I know that when kids are moving on to post secondary education, they often hope to go forward with some of their friends.  It's quite an emotional time for them, venturing into unknown territory and doing so without the friends they are used to is a bit scary.

Spent the day with my Mom yesterday.  She had been ill and had to postphone the assessment appointment re long term care for her husband.  She's fine now and met with the social worker on Monday.  The woman did the interview and took it all down on her laptop.
My Mom has been offered some assistance.  They will send someone to stay with her husband so my Mom can do her shopping etc.  Also will send someone to assist with light housekeeping.
He has told the social worker he will not go into a nursing home.  My Mom will have 24 hours once a placement becomes available to have him there or he will be off the list.

can, having been a caregiver for so many years, I can tell you your Mom will feel a heavy load lifted with the assistance she is offered.  When the time comes for a decision about her husband, she will make the right one I am sure.

Hi Sister.    My Mom has made the decision.  Her husband has been deemed incapable of making decisions.  The process is under way and when it is completed he will be put on a wait list.  How long the wait will be is unknown  Usually when the 'client' has a caregiver the waiting period is much longer, for obvious reasons  However it is our hope that due to my Mom's age, her continuing weight loss and stress levels and the referral by their family doctor who stated that she is weak will factor in to their consideration.
In the meantime, the family has urged my Mom to accept all the help she is offered.

can, she is doing the correct thing.  I hope the wait won't be long.

TO SISTER:

I think CC is just adjusting to the N. Texan way of life........Shoes seem to a questionable waste in these parts........Bare Feet, Flip Flops or boots are the main stay.......as far as I can tell!

Guess when the weather is foul ya'll don't ruin a decent pair of shoes, haven't quite figured it out yet.   Rain or snow  I've seen more barefeet here than all my years in Southern California...

I am a barefoot person myself.  Sometimes when I'm preaching I take my shoes off and don't even know it.

JSM, I hope postponing the surgery until October won't mean more adhesions.
Just be wise, dear one!  (I know you are!)

an angelic monkey  He said it shouldn't hurt to wait unless I fall on it skating. I am really thinking about not doing it until I really have to. The doctor WANTS me to do it so I think it is something I am going to HAVE to do. He says I NEED a knee replacement, but WON'T do it because of my age and activity level. So I am probably going to go with what the doctor says.
Makes perfect sense.  I had broken my humerous (sp) so it was part and parcel of the same thing.

You're right Brandi.  Trimm is a very compassionate person and very loving too.  It's been a month since she posted and it makes me uneasy.  I just pray she is ok.
We miss you very much Trimmy.

Prayers for your Mom and her husband that this can be resolved in a way that is acceptable to them both.  I am glad they are getting assistance.  It's great that she is feeling better.

My son does not know anyone in the classes yet.  He was able to observe them, but the students are the current ones, not the ones that would move on from his current class.

Thanks Bearly.

Think I misunderstood.  Still, don't get it.   Sorry...not to worry.

I think he is attracted to the girls in one class versus the other.

Amazing how fast you can rack up money on a repair. Don't you just love the no deductible thing!

Thank you for asking about Connie.  She has a really bad cold and I am taking her to the doctor today to get some medicine.  It may just have to run it's course, but I think she needs checking.
Hope everyone has a blessed day.
