he was interviewing either one of the investigators or the police chief in the Cutt's case and basically he was trying to trick the officer into admitting they (the police) are treating Cutts more harshly than they would just because he is a cop.  Basically trying to get the officer to admit emotion is a factor in the whole thing.

Thanks!  I thought they were a little slow myself.  Unfortunately, with most of these murders of women and especially pregnant one, it takes about one question to figure the whole thing out.
