My point exactly.  You have to discard the SG as being in the group to have a number 5 suspect that would fit the scenario as outlined by Simian.  Actually, I think Simian already knew by this time that the guards were not suspects.  Try this one...

1. Joran
2. Deepak
3. Satish
4. Steve Croes
5. Lorenzo or GVC

Not sure which one was questioned first.  If it was GVC, then he's number 5.  Then again, was he a suspect or a witness?  Was Lorenzo a suspect or a witness?


That is what needs to be clarified to be accurate - witness or suspect.
If you think that the ALE possibly considered everyone they brought in for questioning was a suspect, especially in the very early days,  and then if they had an reasonable alibi they were then called a witness instead it would make more sense.

Friday night (June 17) was the only time that Arends was questioned. Apparently there was still another person.....of Dutch background....questioned Thursday night (June 16). I believe I've heard the name Lorenzo van Rijn in connection with that. Correct me if I'm mistaken.

I understand that many of the code talkers considered the 5th suspect to be PVDS.  I also thought that he was ruled out as a boyfriend from earlier.  I know this has been said before...but I just don't see Natalee being at all interested in PVDS at any point in time.  I don't think he could do enough sweet talking to get much more of a response from her other than what we saw in the casino video.  Besides, if he was familiar with Natalee, why was she so distant to him in the caisno? Doesn't jive with me, I guess.

Just because Simian uses the word suspect doesn't mean that he means suspect.  Remember the "one witness is no witness"?  I take that to mean that one of the witnesses is really not only a witness but also a suspect.
