::snipping2::

The lawyer says his client fears extradition because U.S. prisons have a reputation for being "very hard" on inmates.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20120423/lt-peru-van-der-sloot/

Yes, we do want him in Federal Court here in Alabama.

I'm happy he is coming ANYWHERE in the USA -- but, I think I would rather have him in the Alabama STATE system than the Federal courts!!

Oh, yeah!  But that's too much to even dream.

Everybody knows who he is and what he did, however, no matter where in this country he goes.

But I do like the idea of his being under the jurisdiction of this country at long last.  This way even if he gets a early out in Peru, he just gets to come here and get the crap beat out of his every day of his life from now on.

  Great to see you KTF!!!

Hope all is well down in Texas Wreck. Everything up here in The Emerald City is doing great. We're hoping that the NBA/NHL arena gets worked out, Amazon's building three new towers downtown, the viaduct is getting redone, and Husky Stadium is currently being getting renovated.

Add Urine going to Alabama and the two leprechauns getting there azz handed to them with the McGraw lawsuit, and I couldn't ask for anything more, other then to see Natalee returned home to be put to rest.

Lots of Rivers around here for canoes.  The Cahaba or the Mulberry are particularly

Van der Sloot's just punishment from in Peru

LIMA (Reuters) - Joran van der Sloot just keeps his 28-year prison sentences in Peru. This, the Peruvian Minister of Justice, Cesar San Mart ¡n, Wednesday against local media emphasized. Van der Sloot was in January convicted of the murder on 30 May 2010 on teen Stephany Flores Ramirez.

He responded to reports that Van der Sloot as possible to the American judicial system is transferred. Who has asked for extradition for fraud and extortion of the mother of another victim of a possible Van der Sloot, Natalee Holloway, whose body was never found. Holloway came from Mountain Brook, Alabama and disappeared on May 30, 2005 vacation in Aruba. She was 19 years old.

San Mart ¡n said that Van der Sloot only to the verdict in his trial in the U.S. could go, when positively to the American request is replied to. Then he must turn back to his cell in Peru. If he gets a prison sentence in the U.S., after which he must serve his sentence in Peru, following the minister.

His sentence in Peru

The Dutchman Joran van der Sloot will meet in Peru 28 years in prison to which he was convicted of the murder of the young Stephany Flores, said yesterday the chairman of the Judiciary, César San Martín.

U.S. officials said, have requested the extradition from abroad because of the judgment against him for having extorted the mother of Natalee Holloway, who asked $ 250 000 to reveal the place where her daughter is.

Should that request succeed, the murderer will travel only to hear the reading of his sentence. After that return to Peru to continue in prison. "Once you finish your punishment in our country, go to the U.S. to comply with the sentence imposed. This is the procedure, "said the magistrate.

Peru requests extradition of Joran Van der Sloot to the United States

And began to petition the government of Peru to complete the prisoner's extradition papers Joran Van der Sloot, who is imprisoned for allegedly murdering a woman he met in the city of Lima, in a casino.

Not only that, but also charged against the state of Alabama for a bribe of $ 250,000.00 USD to the mother of the late Natalie Halloway, a famous case that occurred more than a year.

Apparently, we learned that it is very likely that he is guilty of the murder of Natalie Holloway, who disappeared while on holiday with friends when she was only 18 years old.

Joran Van der Sloot escaped to Peru after the disappearance, but was later convicted of another person while there. Now in the United States, the mother and the government want to try and prosecute the case of Van der Sloot.

Let's hope they succeed extradite and prosecute. It is unclear whether his case would meet once a death sentence being within the United States. We can only hope to compliance with the law and that everything goes well.

Peru is preparing to extradite Dutch van der Sloot

Peruvian Justice began extradition proceedings yesterday the prime suspect in the disappearance of U.S. Natallee Holloway in Aruba in 2010.

The Dutchman Joran van der Sloot, prime suspect in the disappearance of Holloway in Aruba Natallee U.S. in 2010, could be extradited to the United States in the coming months.

Peruvian Justice began extradition proceedings yesterday, when it approved a request for provisional arrest, the first step to comply with the protocol on extradition between Peru and the United States, but still need to make a formal request for extradition.

The only thing that can stop the extradition is an appeal of van der Sloot, which could result in about a month.

Last update Apr 23, 2012 @ 03:44 PM

CANTON — The mother of an Alabama teen who disappeared during a senior class trip in Aruba seven years ago is coming to Canton to talk about her story.

Beth Holloway will speak at the Soroptimist International Midwestern Region conference at 7 p.m. April 27 at the McKinley Grand Hotel in downtown Canton. The soroptimist club is an international service organization aimed at improving the lives of women and girls.

Holloway’s daughter Natalee Holloway was last seen in May 2005. In January of this year, a court declared her dead.

Beth Holloway has addressed audiences the world over, “sharing her message of hope, faith and personal safety,” according to a news release from Alexandra Nicholis Coon, past president of Soroptimist International of Canton/Stark County.

Coon said Beth Holloway hopes to educate people on personal and travel safety and to bring hope to families victimized by abductions.

Tickets are $20 or $10 with a student ID. They are available online through the Soroptimist International of Canton/Stark County website or by phone at 330-416-4567.

 ::snipping2::

Following Peru's "provisional detention" approval, the United States now has 60 days to submit a formal extradition request and supporting documents to Peru, according to the extradition treaty signed by the two countries in 2001.

If the United States fails to submit the formal request within 60 days, Joran van der Sloot could be "discharged" from detention for extradition. But that won't prevent the U.S. from trying to extradite him again, according to the treaty.

My GUESS is that it would be tried in the nearest FEDERAL district court to Alabama. However, with the notoriety -- it could be moved to another jurisdiction.
