I'm starting to think you WANT him to go to the Netherlands.

Wreck ... you know that is not true.  Nevertheless ... I believe I see the writing on the wall.  I could be wrong.

Think about it.

1.  The "excessive" "perferential" privileges that Ricardo Flores shared that he has complained about since DAY ONE of Joran's incarcenation

2.  The 28 year sentence for a murder beyond brutal rather than a life sentence ... the 28 year sentence that translates into approximately nine years with reduction credits  ... the 28 year sentence that Joran's attorney refers to as a "BIG WIN".

3.  The passing of the Peru/Netherlands Transfer Agreement ... coincidence or not.

Natalee's loving stepfather want justice for Natalee with all his heart but ... he sees the writing on the wall.  Natalee's mother wants justice for her daughter with all her heart but ... see sees the writing on the wall.

HOLLY HUGHES, GUEST HOST: Well, Jug, let me ask you this, do you think that Joran van der Sloot will ever be arrested and brought to trial in Natalee`s case?

JUG TWITTY, NATALEE HOLLOWAY'S STEPHFATHER: I`d like to hope that he would, but I doubt it. You know, I pray every night that something will happen, somebody will say something. But to be honest, Holly, there`s so many people involved in this, it was a huge cover-up from the beginning. And there are so many people protecting him that I don`t know if they`d ever bring him to trial.

Loving Natalee
A Mother's Testament of Hope and Faith

Page 183:
Four and a half hours after this announcement is made to international media by Joran's father and his defense team, the FBI calls to tell me it is indeed true.  So the three suspects who were last seen with my daughter, and who offered multiple versions of what happened that night, will go free.  And we are the last ones to find out.

Natalee's handwriting on her immigration card states that the duration of her stay here would be four nights.  It has been ninety-five.  And I have painstakingly counted every one of them.

When Helen calls, I stand in a corner of the hotel room, phone to my ear, tapping my head against the wall over and over.  Tears fall hard.  "I'm done, Helen.  I'm done.  No justice for Natalee in Aruba.  I'm done."

Page 189:   It's the proverbial, Biblical conflict between good and evil.  It's very, very hard to fight evil because it constantly changes form and you never know who your enemies are.  And evil is always two steps ahead. From the outset we never had a chance.  But we didn't know it.  I'm taking leave of the island, but not from the work yet to be done.

Janet - when it came to Joran and ARUBA, I agree his family had influence and IMO he got away with Natalee's murder.

Population Aruba: Approx 101,000 (more like 90k in 2005)  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aruba
Population Netherlands now - Approx 16,783,092  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_the_Netherlands

IMO the Sloots have no more influence in the NL than I do and zero influence in Peru

Klaas ... I agree.

Nevertheless ... Joran van der Sloot has the ability to expose the sons of the elite who played a part in the happening encompassing the morning of May 30, 2005 as well as ... the ability to expose the higher ups who participated in the the corrupt investigation that has prevented justice from prevailing for Natalee Holloway.  Then there is exposure regarding Aruba's underground economies and those involved.

I SPECULATE that there has been some  incentives provided by Aruba/Holland that have lined the pockets of those within the Peruvian Justice System ... incentives that have had the ability to pacify Joran van der Sloot while at the same time allowing a measure of justice to prevailing to appease the family of Stephany and the Pervian people.

Klaas ... as I said before ... the outcome will be what the outcome will be.  Until then ... speculating by ALL is where it is at.

Peruvian Justice System - Unofficial Payments

Judicial System
Individual Corruption

The Peruvian judicial system is tainted with corruption and official pressure, according to the US Department of State 2010. Similarly, Freedom House 2011 reports that corruption in the judiciary remains rampant. Also Transparency International's Global Corruption Barometer 2010 points out that the judiciary is among the most corrupt public institutions in Peru. According to the report, well over half of the surveyed households consider it as 'extremely corrupt', while more than a quarter reports having paid a bribe in 2009. Also, in the Proética Fifth National Survey on Corruption 2008, the surveyed citizens consider the judiciary to be among the most corrupt institutions in Peru.  User surveys also indicate that unofficial payments affect both the speed and the final outcome of judicial processes.

Joran PLEAD GUILTY and was sentenced to 28 years in prison in Peru.

He spent over a year and a half in prison waiting for that trial, where he PLEAD GUILTY.

Somebody didn't pay enough I guess.

Was Joran a Participant?

Joran van der Sloot's age implies he should never have been allowed on the premises of the Excelsior Casino.  He should never have been allowed on the premises of Carlos and Charlies'.  He should never have been allowed on the premises of the Radisson Casino.  He should never have been allowed on the premises of the Wyndham Casino.  He should never have been afforded VIP passes.  Yet he was not only given access to these establishments ... given access to unsuspecting young women ... he was allowed to drink alcohol and gamble.

Why did Casino/Club management ... Paulus van der Sloot and ... Aruban authorities turn a blind eye to the illegal activities of underage Joran van der Sloot?  Could it be that Joran was a participant ... a front ... a lure in the furthering of Aruba's underground economy?

Think about the far reaching implications for Aruba if Joran van der Sloot did some serious talking.  In other words ... does this psychopath hold the ace in the deck of cards while sitting in a Peruvian lockup?

++++++

Jossy Mansur - DANA PRETZER- July 23, 2007

Dana: One thing that makes my listeners scratch their heads so to speak and wonder, myself included and we'll talk about it again, is the fact of the underage drinking and gambling that had been going on admittedly by young van der Sloot.  Was there ever any discussion or has there ever been any discussion at least of filing some charges as far as that goes?

Jossy:  No, there hasn't been any of that. The authorities have just (inaudible) it aside, they haven't paid any attention to it then and they're not paying any attention to it now and over the past 26 months.    I haven't seen anything in the direction of trying to make some kind of statement that this is not (inaudiable) at least make some sort of a statement that this is not (inaubible) because it is a known fact that as an underage he wasn't supposed to be in the casino, much less in the company of his father. He was there, there are video tapes to prove that and still the authorities haven't done anything with regard to that specific case.

Was there a behind the scenes deal ... a behind the scenes deal to pacify Joran van der Sloot while at the same time attempting to appease Stephany's family and the Peruvian people who were demanding justice?  In other words it was not all about Joran.  The Peruvian Justice System was walking a fine line.

The behind the scenes deal?  The life sentence would be taken off the table in exchange for a guilty plea.  A 28 year sentence would be where it was.  A 28 year sentence that translated into approximately nine years with reduction credits.

It doesn't happen often but ... regarding this topic ... I am one with JVM.

A 28 year sentence in a Peruvian prison to pacify anyone?

Ludicrous, imo

There's no guarantee that will translate to 9.

And even yet, 9 years in a Peruvian prison to pacify anyone?

Ludicrous, imo.

Can't wait for the speculation about the behind the scenes deals when Joran comes to Alabama to face his charges there.  Note sarcasm.

If the so called "sons of the elite" are so worried about what Joran could say, why was he telling his friends he may have to sell his body so he'd have money to eat before he murdered Stephany FOR HER MONEY?  Why does he have federal extortion charges against him for extorting money from Natalee's family?  AND HE COMMITTED THAT CRIME WHILE IN ARUBA.  Why did he need money there?  Didn't he have an endless line of credit in the casinos due to his secrets that could tumble the house of cards and collapse the entire underground economy?  You would think if there was so much fear of what Joran could say, and these same people are financially able to buy off the Peruvian judicial system...that Joran would have never had a need for money...he could have gambled day and night with never a worry for money!  Why did he need Terror Jaap to pay off his gambling debts in Holland?  Why was he cooking up deals to sell girls in Thailand?  He wouldn't have had a need to sell so many lies about Natalee for money over the years, he could have just threatened to tell the truth...couldn't he?  Why wouldn't he?  Afraid they'd snuff him out rather than pay?

But they're paying now to pacify him with AT THE VERY LEAST nine years in a Peruvian prison?

Once again, ludicrous IMO.

Inflammatory speculation, that's all it is imo.

Joran told part of the truth in the Range Rover, enough for most to know what happened to Natalee.  Most that were left with a doubt after that, saw the light when he brutally beat and strangled Stephany to death, and purposely left her to decompose while he fled the country.  And don't forget all the conspiracy theories the same people who lied about Natalee tried to put out after that!

It didn't work.

Joran plead guilty to save himself from a life sentence.

He was sentenced to 28 of a possible 30 years in prison.

Although the lower charge was in place, if Joran hadn't pleaded guilty...if the trial had proceeded...as the facts were presented; the charge and possible resulting sentence could have changed.  He could have faced a life sentence after all.  He (and his attorney imo) knew that just might happen, and he didn't want to take that chance.

It's as simple as that.

It's easy to be a Monday morning quarterback, and see all kinds of things in retrospect to fit one's agenda.  All these old articles posted over and over do nothing to convince me or sway me to your point of view, Janet.  (The same with the posts about the Betrayal as you call it.)  Your POV is obvious.

If Joran had any "friends" in high places in Peru, they are long gone, as it is obvious from reports coming out of Peru, that Joran is very unhappy in his current diggs.  His "friends" in high places in Aruba and the NL (if there ever were any in the NL) seem to have no influence on his situation in Peru, either.

Joran plead guilty to avoid a trial where he could have been given a harsher sentence.  Finito.  He was caught with his hand in the cookie jar and had no way out.  He was given a 2 year latitude for the time he already served, and then received the harshest sentence possible in Peru's judicial system. FACT.

Joran is not a privileged character.  He may have been in Aruba when he got away with Natalee's murder b/c his Daddy helped him and Daddy knew the right people in a government concerned first and foremost with protecting it's own image.

Joran is persona non grata in Aruba and the NL.  The citizens and gov'ts of those 2 countries have made that very clear.  Even his own Mother has distanced herself.

Joran is not a privileged character in Peru either.  He was/is an international murderer, and had Interpol after him. Peru had no choice but to treat him with "white" gloves as this was an international case of notoriety; the world was watching, and he had not had his day in court yet.  The day he was convicted whatever perks he may or may not have had came crashing to an end, as he was transferred on the very day of sentencing.  However he achieved those perks, is now moot, b/c they no longer exist.

Joran is unhappy.  I imagine he is even more unhappy now that he has been moved out of his protective isolation.

Joran is in a harsh prison in PERU, where 1 day in prison can be or end a lifetime.

I'm not going to spend any time wondering about Joran's future.  He didn't worry about Natalee's, Stephany's or any of their loved ones' futures.  Why spend any time thinking about his future?

Was there behind the scenes negotiations with a corrupt Peruvian Justice System ... a behind the scenes negotiations that lined that pockets of the Peruvian prosecutor and the panel of judges ... a behind the scenes negotiations to pacify Joran van der Sloot while at the same time attempting to appease Stephany's family and the Peruvian people who were demanding justice?  In other words the entire process was all a dog and pony show.  IMO

Negotiated Outcomes?

1.  Joran would be afforded "excessive" "preferential" privileges while in the Peruvian lockup.

2.  A life sentence would be taken off the table in exchange for a guilty plea.  A maximum 30 year sentence would be where it was.  A maxiumum 30 year sentence that translated into maximum 10 year sentence when reduction credits were applied.

3.  In time ... a transfer to the Netherlands.

Peru court sentences Van der Sloot to 28 years

"A jail isn't a five-star hotel," Ricardo Flores told reporters. "Since the first day, we've been complaining about the excessive privileges" Van der Sloot allegedly enjoyed in jail.

Unconfirmed news reports, denied by penal authorities, say Van der Sloot has had a cell phone, television, a video gaming console and Internet access in his cell. A Peruvian TV station published a photo Friday it says was taken by Van der Sloot himself of his prison cell that shows a 42-inch LCD television, a Blu-ray player and an Internet modem.

Flores said that "everything they showed on the TV has been proven" but that he would not have documentation of it to present to the news media until Monday.

Van der Sloot's attorney, Jose Jimenez, said he is not familiar with his client's prison cell.

30 Year Sentence - Joran's Attorney: A Big Win!

Date set for van der Sloot murder trial

In September, the victim's family asked a three-judge panel for a more stringent charge akin to aggravated murder, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison, but the panel of judges ruled on the prosecution's side.

Van der Sloot's defense attorney Luis Jimenez Navarro told CNN'S In Session this was a big win for his client.  If Van der Sloot is found guilty and sentenced to the maximum penalty, under Peru's jail reduction credits, he may only serve a third of the time.

THE PERISTENCE BETRAYAL

I suspect that CapsLockWizard's January 18, 2008 arrival on the SM Natalee Holloway forum was meant to distract attention away from the Persistent find onto the pond search.  Then when  Kyle Kingman/Ocean Exploration began posting details encompassing the Persistence find ... details that revealed the contents of the trap had been retrieved unchallenged by the Aruban enemy ... the Aruban enemy who had prevented justice from prevailing for Natalee Holloway since May 30, 2005 ... the four headed CapsLockWizard went into damage control distractions with theories that went beyond the pond.

I hope that the Persistence has not done all of this work and gone to all of this expense only to have gotten itself into an arrangement whereby Aruban divers are the ones who actually verify the targets and are the first ones to physically retrieve evidence, with no American divers physically with them. If so, all I can say is I just can't believe this has happened. But surely I am wrong.

We had little option other than to have the Aruban dive division recover the samples and bring them back under their care.  Remember we are Americans working in Aruban waters, subject to their laws, invitation, and blessing.  Our hands are tied for the most part. I personally was extremely uncomfortable with the chain of custody, being that we weren't a part of it, but I was powerless to do anything about it.  The samples were photographed in detail by one Aruban diver and the other two investigated the contents of the trap, the dimensions, the rigging, and what surrounded the trap.  From the video, it looked like they did a diligent and careful job with the samples and the underwater photography.  I don't know who has these pictures, but I must assume ALE.

Reminder

THE PERSISTENCE BETRAYAL

CapsLockWizard was a nic used by four deceivers who had an agenda ... an agenda to distract attention away from the trap discovered by John Silvetti's Persistence endeavor ... the trap that may have contained Natalee Holloway's remains ... the trap that was afforded unchallenged to those who were involved in the corrupt investigation that prevented justice from prevailing since May 30, 2005.

Nine days following "Caps" first post on the SM forum ... I sensed that somethng was hinky.  Posts were articulated in both perfect and broken English.  In other words ... it was obvious to me that more than one individual was posting under the nic CapsLockWizard.

Read the following Capslockwizard posts.  What a difference a day makes.

San ... I will respectfully bow out for now.  I am very upset.

Caps may or may not have a firm grasp of the English language but ... he/she comes across loud and clear regarding his/her agenda in regards to Natalee Holloways' stepfather.

ARUBA: It's all about Natalee...we won't give up!

« Reply #539 on: March 25, 2012, 10:52:23 PM »
