Hello, Anna

Spent the first two years of my life in AL.

Well, you were off to a good start, CJ1!

I am not from here originally but have lived here the last twenty plus years so it's home to me now.

Have gone exurban and moved onto mini farm and love it.

Better when it rains once or twice a season, however.

Pot plants look almost exactly like okra plants growing.  Common mistake.  Also people have been known to alternate with okra.  Also to plant them on the property of others and only come back later for the harvest.

However, there is technology that can be used to find pot by it's infrared signature.  Helicopters used to fly over at tree top level looking for it in this area.

It's pretty common here.

.

You mean MJ glows in the dark?  Laughing   I have grown Okra, but never realized or sensed that it looked like pot.

Each plant has its own infrared signature.  Yes, okra has same five leaf pattern as pot.  Hibiscus does also.  I have known of okra being uprooted by mistake and taken for testing.  But when they break out the helicopters, then they are looking for something major, large crop.

BLAH, it's outside here.  Seldom grown inside.  Guess that's why they get caught so much.

Anna, I have 9 Hibiscus plants in my yard, and they do not have a branched 5 leave pattern like that.  I just went outside and looked.  Are you sure Hibiscus?   Are you talking about the individual leaves?

there is a referece to WEB (Water and Electricity Bureau).   on this map
http://www.arubayp.com/maps.html?PageNumber=8

This looks more like an area called Santo Largo

Anna, PA native but immediately relocated during the Korean War.  My father changed from Infantry to JAG and got called up.  To this day my husband still says there's a Southern accent at times.

Do you really think that there could be a tunnel ?
What for ? Aruba is rock, I seriously doubt that anyone could dig thru that.
His operation looked like a small time local dealer.

Depends on the type you have, AZ.

This is what I am calling similar looking but this one is wrong color.  Anyway, has five segments.

And I have had them green and with longer segments but mine usually die in the winter cold here.   Sad

Blah,  I think it is just a rumor from some 2 years ago.  I don't think that it is a confirmed item at all.  Someone posted about it.  Probably Bondia.

Anna - we had a big storm here today. Trees were knocked down and we lost our power for a couple of hours. The good news is that my rain gauge on the deck says it rained an inch.  Very Happy

Anna, you are right, mine are not like that at all.  There is no division at all in the leaf.  they have a pinking shear edge but the leave is a solid soft triangle shape.

We had nothing!  I could hear thunder in the distance a couple of times but not one drop of rain did we get!

Maybe tomorrow!
