Jeff Ashton looks forward to not being called “Casey Anthony prosecutor,” the state attorney-elect tells WFTV-Channel 9’s “Central Florida Spotlight.”
 
Ashton says that he hopes that Anthony will disappear into the background, although he notes that situation is improbable. Her probation for check fraud ended last week.

Ashton acknowledges that he has a lot to prove in managing the state attorney’s office and hopes to bring back lawyers to the office. He also calls Linda Drane Burdick, the lead Anthony prosecutor, “a great lawyer” and hints that she may have increased duties when he is state attorney.
 
But the conversation comes back to Anthony, who was charged with first-degree murder in the 2008 death of her daughter, Caylee. Although the state lost, Ashton says the case probably helped him win state attorney.
 
Ashton said he has no regrets about writing “Imperfect Justice” about the Anthony case, saying it helped people move on from the verdict and put the focus back on Caylee, the victim.
 
Ashton was “very surprised” that George Anthony, Casey’s father, congratulated him on Election Night. But Ashton explains that he helped George through a difficult time and calls George “the victim of all this,” including unproven allegations and defense attorney Jose Baez’s book.
 
The Ashton interview also will air at 12:30 p.m. Saturday on WFTV-Channel 9

Were you hoping to see Jeff Ashton on “Central Florida Spotlight”?
 
The WFTV-Channel 9 program was preempted Saturday by the Little League Baseball’s international championship. 
 
You can catch Ashton, who won the race for Orange-Osceola state attorney, when “Central Florida Spotlight” airs at 4 p.m. Sunday on sister station WRDQ-Channel 27.

The program also will air next weekend on WFTV at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

I had no idea that Casey was hiding with Steve Camp.  I wonder if his record sales will go down now.  I found this blog from a woman who stayed with the Camps in May 2012 and in her blog she said she stayed with the Camps and met their children..then said it was nice meeting "E", too.  I'm sure now she met Casey.  Here's the link:  http://carlarolfe.blogspot.com/2012/05/great-big-thank-you-post.html

Unfortunately Karma doesnt strike when we want her to she waits til its right for her, We may never see Karma and KC in this world but there is still the next faze in life we have to go through and I sure wouldnt want to be in her shoes that day.

What is the "Joan + 20" if you don't mind me asking?

I have a small 20 cat sanctuary.  I used to be in cat rescue until I got too old and cranky with asshole people who don't spay/neuter.  Anyway, I found homes for the young and healthy.  I kept the old, sick and behaviorally challenged.  I love them all dearly.

ROFL .... I fell the same way about peeps who don't spay & neuter themselves or their nearest or dearest or whoever is the nearest ( or the nearest at last call at the bar ( and then they have kiddos they neither want or  can look after. Then the rest of us taxpapyers pick up the tab for the next 18 years. And the children are usuually " behaviorally challenged"
from me.

There won't be a record of any monies changing hands from one arsehole Anthony to another arsehole Anthony..waste of time. Her crooked attorneys have found away around filtering the money to her without records.
Cindy probably said to George', we need to give Casey some of our windfall from Dr, Phil. After all, if it wasn't for her murdering our grand daughter, we would not be rich now. We need to share with her'.
