Oh no!  Is this a different phone find?  Wasn't the other phone reported being found in Fremont, where she lived prior to Morgan Hill?  This is NOT sounding good.  Prayers for you Sierra and her family.

In this article it states she usually catches the bus before dawn!  I have often thought before dawn pick ups were so unsafe.  Wonder if she is the only rider at this stop.  I don't know her parents working status but I have never ever let my child wait for a bus alone nor get off without his Dad, me or the sitter when younger! There are cases where it has to be done but today their is no safe place for a child.  I only hope they are able to ping her phone some.

In your above link, it says that she left her house at 6:00am that day when she went missing. When I looked at her tweet on the 16th, it says she tweeted at 6:29am. Where was she?

Hmmm...I wonder if she crossed paths with a girl that she had problems with...I am not familiar with slang...but doesn't that mean she is ready to "throw down."

So um like... Where the f**k is my bus cuz its cold

This post made me think she was posting to her twitter from where the bus picks her up, so maybe she posted that as she was leaving to go to the bus pickup point?

In reading more about the phone on different twitters last night, it was mentioned that the phone that was found was in a field and they suggested maybe someone had thrown it out while driving down the road?  I'm wondering if the location was in the general direction of Freemont and that is why they extended the search to there?

It is confusing why some were posting that Sierra's mother didn't recognize the phone.  I was thinking today maybe her chip was taken out of her phone and put in another phone before getting rid of it...if someone knew the ping would be tracked?  I don't know why they would do that unless maybe her phone was a better phone and they wanted it, but wanted to get rid of the  chip that could be tracked?  Just a thought...

There were several comments about police talking to some friends of Sierra's, and a private investigator asking for a list of the top five people Sierra talks to the most.

And a few more comments about whether or not the phone was hers...looks to me like some think it is...and some maybe not.

But look at this....... On the day she went missing, the last tweet was at 6:29am via the web. That means she was on a computer. NOT on her cell phone.

The March 13th call at 7:31am at the bus stop says via txt which means she was using her cell phone.

So, why were the parents saying she left at 6:00am? That message the day she left was from a computer. Not a cell phone. Her bus appears to pick her up at approximately 7:30am?

Interesting sassi...very good observation about her last message on that day coming from a computer.  So, that is a good question...why did the parents say that she left for the school bus at around 6am?  Or was it just worded wrong and they left around 6am...expecting her to leave soon after?  Hopefully, that will be touched on.  Have we found out who all lives in the home?

http://www.ktvu.com/videos/news/fremont-search-expands-to-missing-teens-former/vGbDr/

Video of Mom and Sis talking about Sierra.  Okay, I expect rotten nanner peelins' to be thrown at me and yes, we all act different in stressful situations...but these two aren't shedding a tear or begging for her return!!!  WTFlock?  We all know how we would be if our dtr had vanished!  Now I am thinking there is an older boyfriend in the picture.  In the video it says she went missing after leaving "Mom's" home to catch the bus leading me to think Mom and Dad are divorced or Mom had lived in that home before Sierra did.  It doesn't say that and I am only drawing my own conclusions.  Would love to know the living situation in her former town.  Did they all move in that home together, I wonder?  Ignore me, I'm rambling!  Sowy!  I haven't read every article so maybe I need to go do that now!

Thanks Sassifras!

Twitter and posting there are things I'm not very familiar with at all, as you can probably tell.

I realize this may be a silly question, hoping I won't need to dodge nanners.   Laughing

Could someone access the internet with their cell phone and post a tweet causing the "via the web" distinction?  I'm asking because I know you can text to twitter, but if you are looking at your twitter page on your cell phone can you also post to your page from your cell within that same window?

Not that it even matters, just wondering.

Search for missing Morgan Hill teen continues
Monday, March 19, 2012

MORGAN HILL, Calif. (KGO) -- Santa Clara County Sheriff's investigators are visiting a high school this morning hoping for clues in the case of a missing teenager.

15-year-old Sierra LaMar was last seen Friday morning on her way to Sobrato High School in Morgan Hill. She left for school, but never made it to class. Investigators planned to conduct more than two dozen interviews on campus to gather more information about what they are officially calling a missing persons case.

"I'm just worried. I'm worried for her," Sierra's mom Marlene LaMar told ABC7. "I love you so much Sierra. Your family and your friends are really worried about you," she urgently pleaded through her tears.

"We can't confirm that she voluntarily ran away, nor can we confirm that there was a crime involved," said Sgt. Jose Cardoza with the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department.

 ::snipping2::

Sierra's mother is extremely concerned by what she said was her daughter's medical condition. "She has asthma, and she doesn't have her inhalers, and I just want her to be safe," she said. She also added that Sierra does not have a history of running away, does not have a boyfriend, and that she and her sister are extremely close. "If you're out there, just come back," she said.

Sierra is described as 5'2" tall with a thin build. She was last seen carrying a black and pink Juicy brand purse.

Sierra's mother is determined to keep the focus on her daughter. In addition to interviewing students, they will be combing through some of Sierra's material for more information including her cell phone and her laptop.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, which led the weekend search efforts for 15-year-old Sierra Lamar, confirmed this morning that the girl's cell found was discovered Saturday ay 7 p.m. about a half-mile from her house at Dougherty and Palm avenues, according to Sgt. Jose Cardoza

The girl's parents reported her missing Friday when she didn't come home from school.

Sunday, authorities were not sure if she had run away or had possibly been abducted, Cardoza said. Normally there are indications a child planned to run away or the child contacts friends after leaving, Cardoza added.

In this case, they have no evidence showing the girl had a troubled home life or planned to run away and she has not contacted anyone. Further complicating the picture is the lack of a witness, so far, who saw anything indicating she was taken against her will.

The girl was last seen leaving for school Friday morning. Police dogs searching for the girl lost her scent at the driveway of her home, according to the station.http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/03/19/police-find-cell-phone-missing-california-girl-last-seen-on-way-to-school/?
