Has it been reported whether Sierra's mother ... mother's boyfriend and/or father submited to a polygraph and ... if so ... what was the outcome?

Father of missing girl, 15, is a registered sex offender
PUBLISHED: 02:19 GMT, 22 March 2012 | UPDATED: 04:03 GMT, 22 March 2012

<snipped>

'I understand the stigma associated with this in my background, and I assure everyone it is not connected in any way to my daughter's disappearance,' Steve Lamar said in a statement to the San Fransisco Chronicle.

According to court records, he was charged in March 2009 with 12 felony counts of committing lewd or lascivious acts with three children younger than 14.

<snipped>

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2118557/Father-Sierra-Lamar-reveals-registered-sex-offender.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

It is beyond my comprehension WHY Steve Lamar is legally permitted to have his 15 year old minor daughter in his company unsupervised for any length of time.  If appears that up until October ... Sierra was living with her father.  Steve Lamar is a register sex offender for crying out loud.  Considering the charges against her ex-husband ... why did Sierra's mother allow this arrangement to take place?
.
Something tells me that there are underlying dynamics within this family which need to be investigated.  If Sierra's mother ... father and ... mother's live in boyfriend have not submitted to a polygraphy ... inquiring minds want to know ... "WHY NOT"?

Sierra LaMar: Police Find Missing California Teen’s Bag With Clothing

<snipped>

Sierra’s parents are divorced, and she lived with her father in Fremont, Calif., until October, when she moved in with her mother and transferred to Sobrata High School in Morgan Hills.

ABC News has learned that Steve LaMar is a registered sex offender and is currently on probation for committing lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age. Police have emphasized that Steve LaMar is not a suspect in the investigation.

The entire family had alibi when Sierra allegedly when missing?  What if a deceased Sierra left the home in a vehicle prior to the morning of March 16th.

With no leads yet, investigators continue searching for missing teen
Posted: Wednesday, March 21, 2012 5:08 pm | Updated: 12:34 pm, Thu Mar 22, 2012.

Forensics investigators will continue to examine the phone and its contents when it is dry, sheriff’s Lt. Troy Smith said.

<snipped>

LaMar’s mother Marlene and her boyfriend Rick Gardiner, as well as the teen’s father Steve LaMar have all been ruled out as suspects, according to Smith.

“The entire family has fully cooperated with our agency,” Smith said. “All of the family (mother, father, Gardiner) have alibis and can be accounted for at the time Sierra went missing.”

Search continues for missing California teen Sierra LaMar
4:05 PM, Mar 22, 2012   |   0  comments

MORGAN HILL, CA (CBS/KPIX) - Authorities are combing wooded areas for a missing California girl.

The area where Sierra LaMar's Juicy brand purse was found was Laguna and Santa Teresa Sunday at 1 p.m. The Sheriff's Department says there was a neatly folded t-shirt, a pair of jeans, and undergarments inside.

There were no suspicious fingerprints or DNA evidence on or in the purse. Sgt. Jose Cardoza says, "What we do not know at this point is if she was wearing that particular set of clothes when she left the house or if it was extra clothing that she packed."

Sierra, 15, was last seen on Friday morning. A text was sent from her phone around 7 a.m. Investigators won't say to whom that text was sent.

Making the case even more complicated is that her father, a computer engineer, is a registered sex offender. He pleaded no contest in 2009 to "lewd acts" with a minor younger than 14 after he fondled a friend of his older daughter's at a slumber party in 1999.
 ::snipping2::
Sierra's sister, Danielle LaMar, 21, said despite her father's conviction and her parents' divorce, the family of four remains tight-knit. "I've always been really close with my dad," she said.

The night before Sierra disappeared, Danielle LaMar left Sacramento State for spring break and joined her father at his Fremont townhouse. On their way back from dinner, Sierra, a 5-foot-2-inch brunette, called. They put her on speakerphone.

"She was talking about how she wanted to get her hair done the next time she went to Fremont. She wanted to add some blond streaks," Danielle LaMar said. "She was very excited about one of her school assignments, telling me about her research paper. Bringing up her grades made her happy."

In October, Sierra, her mother and her mother's boyfriend, Rick Gardiner, who is in the construction business, moved from Fremont to a rented ranch-style house on Paquito Espana Court in Morgan Hill, a rural cul-de-sac surrounded by farm fields. Sierra was upset to be moving away from her close friends at Washington High School, where she was a cheerleader and involved in competitive dance, to Sobrato High School -- where she knew no one.

"But these past few months, she was making good friends and adapting more to the area," Danielle LaMar said. She didn't have a boyfriend, her sister said.

The household followed its typical routine the morning Sierra disappeared, Danielle LaMar said. Gardiner left the house about 6 a.m. Her mother kissed Sierra goodbye and left for her job in Fremont.

Sheriff: Missing Morgan Hill Teen's Purse, Clothes Found
 Posted: Mar 22, 2012 6:02 PM PDT Updated: Mar 22, 2012 6:05 PM PDT

By Jacqueline Tualla - email

MORGAN HILL - The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department said they found the purse of the Morgan Hill teen who disappeared almost a week ago.

Investigators said Sierra Lamar's purse contained a neatly-folder shirt, a pair of jeans and some under garments.

It was found on Sunday afternoon near Santa Teresa and Laguna, just a couple of miles from the teen's mom's home.

"It was her clothing. It was things that she would have kept with her and it was school books. We believe she was on her way to school. It shouldn't have been where it was. It definitely elevates our concerns," said Sheriff Laurie Smith of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department.

On Thursday, at least 40 volunteers and sheriff's deputies searched a three-mile radius of Lamar's mother's home.

"Very specific, very thorough search, a little bit more than what we did over the weekend," said Sgt. Jose Cardoza of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department. "More areas are going to be checked, private property, large parts of land, waterways, specific things we're looking for are tire tracks, evidence, weapons or any other evidence."

On Saturday, investigators found Lamar's cell phone, near Palm and Dougherty avenues, also by her mom's home.

Investigators hope trained dogs will pick up Lamar's scent from her clothes and lead investigators to her.

Sorry about that, I'm still new to the forum and forgot to add the scissors to denote an article. Note:  It wasn't the scissors that were the problem.  You had posted the entire article, which I "snipped" and then added the scissors.  MB

I always had the feeling that this was foul play, but if they indeed found her books it sounds to me like she had the intention of going to school like any other normal day, and did not run away.  I also think that if she were running away or planned on being picked up, there would have been clues suggesting that on her phone.  For example, "See you in five minutes."  or something similar.

I sure hope I'm wrong but this isn't looking good at all.

I don't really know much about this person, I think she's a celebrity of some kind...popular with the girls Sierra's age...Sierra followed her on twitter etc., had pictures of her on tumblr.
Apparently she's been catching some slack for trying to get the word out about Sierra, kudos to her for trying to help.

http://www.kionrightnow.com/story/17235841/search-intensifies-for-missing-15-year-old-morgan-hill-girl

 ::snipping2::

MORGAN HILL, Calif. - On Thursday night, dozens of FBI agents and Santa Clara County sheriff deputies swarmed the cul-de-sac where Sierra Lamar lives on Paquita Espana Court in Morgan Hill.

They spent hours searching neighbors backyards, even bringing in canines to sniff for clues. They spent most of the night searching a large property right next door to the missing 15-year-old girl's home.

Marc Klaas said he isn't surprised investigators are concentrating in this area.

"There isn't a lot of extraneous traffic. These are people who live here and may very well know this girl's routine and might have taken advantage of that," says Klaas.

For the first time, Klaas met Sierra's family on Thursday. Klaas's daughter Polly was kidnapped and murdered in Petaluma in 1993. A year later, Klass started the KlassKids Foundation to assist with families of missing children.

"We have our search director that will be flying out very soon. Once we get the okay from the sheriff's department we will start doing volunteer searches," says Klaas.

The cul-de-sac isn't the only area, investigators targeted. Less than a quarter mile away on Scheller Avenue, they also targeted a vacant foreclosed home. Detectives even hauled away an evidence kit from the home.

Furmonkey, I don't believe you understand the purpose of using  ::snipping2::  .  We can only post PARTIAL articles, no full articles. Hence, we snip out portions of the article, and use the scissors or type in "snipped".  You posted scissors at the beginning and end of this article, but didn't snip or shorten it.  I have taken care of it, along with the previous post you made.  MuffyBee

This business shows to be right next to Sierra's house, sells portfolio's etc.

1-5 employess 250,000-500,000 income per year

Must be mail order mainly, but the property looks like it's in the same tract as Sierra's house.

If that's a warehouse to the left of the smaller trailer, notice the deterioration or destruction of the front part of it in some of the apparently more recent pictures.

Maybe they're not in business anymore?  Have they had workers out there tearing the building down recently?  On google map you can see debris all around it. (picture below)
