What a piece of work!  This woman (not much of a mother) also was a teacher? She resigned her , but I wonder if there's anything that can be done to prevent her from teaching in the future?  Maybe depending on the charges? Out on 8k bail.   Throwing hot food in a child's face, resulting in 2nd degree facial burns (severe blisters!) and not getting him medical care?  He went to school with his face burned and got medical care from the nurse?  And where was the father during all of this?  Real nice he took him to the doctor after the investigation started. Did the father see his son's  burns?  If so, and he failed to seek medical help, he should be charged for failure to seek medical help at least.     Besides the awful pain, the burns could become infected.

From what I can gather from the information in articles posted here, Cynthia Hunter burned her son's face on Wednesday, March 14th, and he didn't receive any treatment for the burns and blisters until he went to school the next day and was treated by the school nurse.  It appears she didn't resign until she was charged, on Tuesday, March 20th. Did she go to school and work in the classroom each day until then?  And what about the father?  Where was he in all this?  He didn't take the burned teen to the doctor until the investigation started?  Maybe his butt needs to be charged too, for failing to get medical help for his son.  JMHO  These people are shameless imo.
