Sanford police had requested arrest warrant for George Zimmerman in Trayvon Martin shooting
By Frances Robles, Miami Herald

SANFORD — Despite public claims that there wasn't enough probable cause to make a criminal case in the Trayvon Martin killing, early in the investigation the Sanford Police Department requested an arrest warrant from the Seminole County State Attorney's Office, the special prosecutor in the case told the Miami Herald on Tuesday.

A Sanford police incident report shows the case was categorized as "homicide/negligent manslaughter."

The State Attorney's Office held off pending further review, the Herald reported.

A spokeswoman for the city said the Police Department would make no further comments on the ongoing investigation.

The FBI and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement took over the case. An FDLE investigator and the new prosecutor were spotted in Zimmerman's neighborhood Tuesday interviewing witnesses

Witness statements and a doctor's report corroborated his injuries, Lee said. A police report said he had a bloody nose and a grass-stained shirt.

Trayvon Benjamin Martin  6'3" and weighed 140 pounds at the time of his death.

George Michael Zimmerman  was 5 ft 9 in (1.75 m) tall and weighed approximately 250 lb.[

Georgie weighed approximately 100 pounds more than Trayvon.

I would like to see a reenactment in Court, of how these guys rustled on the lawn.

http://www.local10.com/news/Police-Trayvon-protesters-ransack-store/-/1717324/9719674/-/xctonpz/-/index.html
Minutes after walking out of their school Friday, a large group of students walked through the streets of North Miami Beach. Along the way, they stopped at a Walgreens at 163rd Street and 15th Avenue at about 10:40 a.m.

Surveillance video shows dozens of teenagers running through the store. Police said about 80 to 100 students stormed in, ransacking the shelves, before the school's vice principal ordered everyone outside.

Does it make me a bad person when I say that there is something about Trayvon's mother that puts me off? Her speeches from the beginning seem rehearsed and undertones that I can not quite figure out. Have felt that way from the moment I first listened to her....then not showing current pics of her son, not wanting the true reason of his suspensions from school to come out etc..not trying to blame the victim, Trayvon at all here..but maybe the whole truth is not out there? Dunno...I still think that Zimmerman was the first aggressor here..police had been called, he should have backed off. Then neither he nor Trayvon would be in the horrible position that they are in.
Not to take away from any of the grief that she is feeling...as a mom, my heart goes out to her. Her son did not deserve to die.  I hope justice is served for his sake.   But I also want the true whole picture to come out.

I understand what you are saying.  I try to put myself in her shoes.  I just don't know enough of the FACTS about the case to go one way or another.  I don't think it's right to display the shooter in one light (his past mug shot, right?) and the victim in another (his like 5th grade football picture)...and lie about his own criminal background and be in support of these activists shouting all of this crap...when it isn't even known if this was a hate crime.  I say crap...only because I just don't see the racism anymore.  I think if it's just left alone...and treat everyone equal and stop trying to single it out...that we will all be fine (but, that's my theory and humble opinion ONLY). I don't know why they are saying anything about black and white...because the shooter isn't even white.  I know that I would be angry...that my son was gone.  So, I don't really know what I would do.  I am also white and I have never really had to deal with being an activist for my race.  If that makes sense?  This is a subject that is so touchy and I never know if I am going to offend anyone...so please...any words that I have said are NOT meant to be offensive.

Ha!  Yeah, I was closing my eyes as I opened the reply post to this...and slowly opening them to see if I had offended anyone.  I hate that it's that way.  I edit papers for older students that have returned to school and I have several that I do for black people (I only say that because of what I am about to write) and I can feel the anger in some of their writing.  They go to an all black college and they are strong in their activism.  Which is great...go for it.  But, I can feel the anger and hostility and I want to ask them if they really do still see racism against them...because I just haven't seen it.  I would really like to know...or if they are just so use to being on the defensive that they just cannot let the anger go.  I could not imagine.

I have been waiting of a map to get this straight in my head.  Thanks for bringing the link over!  If this map is correct...how can Zimmerman say that Trayvon attacked him as he was getting into his truck?  This would show that, if true, Trayvon attacked him then Zimmerman got up all bloody and hurt and chased him to where the shooting was.  This case is so frustrating!

I think Spike Lee should pay for security for this couple until this is resolved...since he was the one that retweeted it to his followers, most of whom would not have seen it otherwise.

NANCY GRACE

New Developments in Trayvon Martin Case

Aired March 27, 2012 - 20:00   ET

GRACE: Well, his friend is saying no, but what`s your second question? I`ll ask him very quickly.

APRIL: Did Zimmerman have mace on him? And why would -- thank you.

Hi Monkey's,

Good question from the caller.

Did Georgie have mace or pepper spray?

Why a gun?

JOLcan, You are welcome.

I believe MD is an investigator.  www.marinadedave.com

I was reading MD's comments on his blog, yesterday, very down to earth. IMO

The case is frustrating. The kid should not be dead, I think it is that simple. IMO.

Your Beatles avatar makes me smile Smile I remember you mentioned that you have it

This article claims Georgie was "doughy" (six months) before the shooting.
His pal, Joe Oliver claims GZ weighed 170 pounds, not 250.  I would like to know how much did GZ really weigh, at the time of incident.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1203/27/ng.01.html

OLIVER: ... he was characterized as being 70, 80 pounds heavier than Trayvon. Not only was George shorter than Trayvon, he weighs about 170 pounds.

GRACE: OK. Because we were told he weighed about 250 pounds.

OLIVER: And that information came from his arrest in 2005, which was publicized when people were looking into his background. They just said he was arrested. You can get his dimensions on that. They didn`t say what he was arrested for, which was...

How Trayvon Martin gunman aided neighbor after a break-in
March 28, 2012, 12:11 p.m.

Roughly six months before Zimmerman shot and killed an unarmed black teenager in his gated Florida townhouse complex, he was standing in Bertalan’s doorway, asking what he could do to help her. A group of young men had just broken into Bartalan’s townhouse as she and her infant cowered in a locked bedroom. The intruders had stolen a $600 camera and a laptop.

After the police had come and gone, the doorbell rang, and there was Zimmerman: 5-foot-9, in a shirt and tie, his body a little doughy, his demeanor gentle. He introduced himself. He gave her a list of phone numbers where she could reach him at any time. He gave her a heavy-duty lock to bolster the sliding-glass door that the suspects had forced open. He told her she could go stay with his wife down the street if she ever felt scared again.

Marinade Dave is nothing more than a blogger.  To consider him an investigator would be to say we all are investigators or that Murt is an investigator.
