Just had to share a pic of my dinner! A plate full of fresh tomatoes from the garden; there's just nothing like the taste of fresh, home-grown tomatoes!

I'll be having watermelon for dessert. Wink

Looks so yummy Brandi, I love home-grown Tomatoes!  I tried again this year, had 4 beautiful plants going, got about a dozen nice size off of them before the weather and worms attacked..........

Just about impossible to keep them going when the afternoons hit over 112 degrees for days on end and nights barely out of the 90's.....So I give up, Back to Wallys supposed locally grown and just dream about what I'm missing out on, Enjoy a plate for me

I am eating them as fast as I can! LOL

My parents were both college professors and back in the 80s they decided to open an antique shop called, "The Blue Willow." They specialized in Blue Willow China and Asian antiques. I believe they ran it for a few years. When my mother died, I inherited all the inventory. It's a good thing I like Blue Willow Wink

I am so sorry I have not been around.

Please say some prayers for my brother and his family.  He was killed in a work-related accident.  I am on the way to see my Dad and attend the services.  He is the brother whose son I asked you for prayers for several ears ago when he was killed in an accident, also.  He is my son's Godfather and a real role model for him, as my son's father is also deceased.  My son, my brother, and I were very close and saw each other at least once a week, and talked on the phone a lot.  My brother and I visiting my Dad together always got my Dad laughing.  I am going to miss him so very much.  He now resides in a big place in my heart.

Thank you so very much!

TBM's son took a pic of all monkeys in a group photo that should soon be published.
I have a few pics...........but..........my camera is a Mavica & uses floppies.......my old PC decided to take a poop and our other puters and laptop don't have floppy drives, why do they keep "improving" our electronics and leave us holding the bag with our old favorites that are now obsolete!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, rant over...Had a wonderful time yesterday, even in the Texas heat, thankgoodness it was a pool party.  Thankyou again CC & JSM and was great meeting TBM & Chi.

I am glad you had such a great time at the party.  I have an attachment that goes to my computer that attaches a floppy drive to it.  You just plug it in and away it goes!

I don't know Brandi - I am from the deep south and we all put salt on our watermelon!?  My grandmother used to say -- "you are going to eat your insides out with that salt!"

Sorry for your family's loss.  It sounds like your family has had its share of tragedies.  May his memories bring you more smiles than tears.   an angelic monkey

My family has always put salt on their watermelon.  My mother also put black pepper on her cantaloupe.  My husband, who is from California puts salt on his watermelon, but he may have picked that up from his parents who were from southern Missouri.

Wow, didn't realize so many people salted watermelon.

I think I have heard of people putting sugar on tomatoes back when I was a kid.

Pepper on cantaloupe? (eww)

But how about this?

Besides putting salt on his watermelon, he salted his bananas!
