Good morning,
Will be leaving in a few hours to take Belle to intensive behavior modification and then on with positive training.  I know she will do well as she is very smart (had a cocker spaniel once named Meri who was dumb as a clam, but that's another story).  Long road trip -- 9 hours -- will overnight in Connecticut, then on to Providence, RI.  She will be gone 3-5 weeks and I will miss her so much.  But she deserves this grand opportunity.  Prayers for her and for me.

Yikes that is a long road trip Sister. Be careful. Son sent his dog to a dogie boot camp he did very well. Son has to remember to keep reinforcing the right behavior. Have a safe trip. Good Luck to Belle

Sister...hoping it is all going to work out for you and Belle!

Brandi...love the monkey with the flag!

GE...so glad that you got to have your family all together! Nothing like it that is for sure...

Benji goes to he vet again tomorrow. He keeps moaning and when he tries to get up after sleeping for awhile, his legs go out from under him...sigh...he seems very bloated and pants all the time, like he is having trouble breathing. Very temperamental as well. I tried to help him into his bed the other night and  he got very angry and snapped at me...he must be in pain...it may be time...it will be tough but almost a relief because it is hard to see him this way, also because he is extremely temperamental..worse than usual.

Oh, poor Benji. (and you)

I hope the vet can give Benji some relief.

If not, my thoughts will be with you, as I know you will do what's best for him.

Hugs to you both!

Sister you and Belle are in my prayers.

Cookie you'll know the right thing to do.

Planted a second apple tree where we buried Lumpy. Apparently I needed 2 to cross pollinate and get fruit. Who knew ?

Tolerance good to hear from you.

Thank you everyone.  Leaving this morning instead -- my stomach wasn't good yesterday.

Cookie, my thoughts are with you.

4Donks, makes sense about the trees, but I would never have thought to do it.

Blessings everyone!

I don't think I will have any problem reinforcing what's she learns.  I have taught her some things, but let there be a knock at the door and it all goes to hell in a hand basket.  I know she has it in her, just needs to unlearn some things which I am not capable of teaching.  Thanks for your thoughts!

I cant wait to see Belle's report card - she will have all A's!!

4Donks - even though I am a city girl, my family planted an apple tree in the back yard when I was little.  I remember my grandparents saying they should have planted two.

Cookie - hope Benji feels better with your nursing skills.

Hi JSM - how are your lips?  Or should I ask Cc that?  teehee

I was mesmerized on friday watching tv - as the bomber was being hunted.  I can not wrap my head around a 19 year old "good" boy doing that?

Hi Caddie

Friday was a unreal day for sure. I am with you about wrapping my head around how either one could do what they did. Especially the 19 year old.

Benji seems ok. Pain pills seem to be helping. Not sending him over the bridge just yet. But I think hat he is sending me messages. Quality of life is diminishing...

These are not final results for the Pet Scan but my doctor looked at them and thinks the cancer is localized to the neck. The brain, lungs, liver and spine are clear. Waiting official reading from the radiologist before cheering and celebrating. Thanks for the prayers.
