Just read up thread in the prayer requests that Darline's/Darla's grandson Cody has gone to be with the Lord.  Prayers for all the family.

That is so sad.

My heart goes out to her and her family.

Good morning everyone!
Hope you had a cool, restful sleep.
As you can see, I have changed my avatar thanks to Brandi.  It's Mr. Jenkins, Connie's dog.  Hard decision, but there is a reason God made us to walk forward.
Have a blessed day and stay cool if you can.

So, no power here - restoration is guessed on Sunday morning - we are leaving for vacation before it is supposed to come back on!  May have to hit the laundry mat!

Oh great! You have a generator!

I am so jealous of people who owns those. LOL

So good your food will not go to waste and you can be cool and have other modern amenities!

I was worrying that you may have well water, and was afraid you'd also have water issues.

I am happy for you.

We do have well water. So I was thinking I would just have to go on vacation stinky!  We have two generators - a small one and one that does 220 (for the well ect) but our box is not yet set up to accept the power from the gennie. So I had no water or air!  Glad our power workers fixed the real power!

Oh, I misread you. LOL

Your power was restored by the power company.

Thought you went out and got supplies for the generator and were using it for power.

This is even better!

Good morning everyone!

Hope all is going well and everyone has power to stay cool and have water.

Please excuse my lack of Texas geography, but is there any monkey near San Antiono?  One of my dearest friends is in Methodist Hospital there and I am considering taking a quick trip to see her.  She has pancreatic cancer.  We went to seminary together and I am praying for a miracle for her.

Trimm, been thinking about you and hope all is well.
Tolerance, haven't seen you in a while either.

Blessings.

Afternoon Sister

I know we have lots of Texas Monkeys. But not sure who lives in the San Antonio area. Babs, JSM, CC, Chi Monkey and Myself live around the Dallas/Fort Worth area which is at the North of San Antonio by about 300 miles. Prayers for your friend. I lost one of my friends in May of this year from pancreatic cancer.

Thank you for the geography lesson.  I didn't realize it was quite so far between.  I was hoping if it was closer, I could arrange it for around the 18th and meet some of you.  I guess I could arrange to fly out of Dallas or Fort Worth.  I need to check first and see how long she is going to be in the hsopital.
Date night for me.  Yeah!

Prayers for all monkeys in need.   an angelic monkey

I'll try to encourage (force) JSM to log in tonight.  Start my MIB training on July 30th for a week right down the street from where we live.  Gadgets will be issued I'm told.  Then the following week I report to my main office in Fort Worth.  Soon after, I'll spend two weeks in Memphis for additional training and more gadgets.      Looking forward to getting back to work after collecting 13 months of funemployment.   Monkey Devil! Monkey Devil!  I know JSM will miss me babysitting the dogs, cleaning the apt., cooking, etc.

Monkey meetup!!!!

I read upthread that Sister might be in San Antonio and might want to hook up on the 18th of July.  Bring it on!!!  JSM can take the day off and since I'm still on "vacation", me too.  GE and Babs and Chi live around FW.  I suggested a BBQ/pool party at our place, as TBM and boys in tow will also be in the area.

TBM has my email and phone number, as does GE and Babs.  What say you monkeys and any others in the area?

...also, JSM and I have an extra bedroom with private bath for overnight guest(s).

I think Bearly and Cubbie need to make an appearance.

Hi Green Eyes!

We're hanging in there, trying to stay cool, thanks for asking.

Tomorrow's forecast is 104º with a heat index of 114º and Sunday's is 103º with a heat index of 114º.

Next week's supposed to cool down some!

Gotta go out and water my garden in a few. It's pretty sad and droopy. I water late at night when I water. I am not up early enough in the morning to do it. LOL

Hope you are staying cool, and I hope all the monkeys who are able to get together there in Texas this month have a blast. I know you will.

Yikes Brandi you guys are having what we had last year. It is just down right miserable when it gets that hot. We have had 100 + but not for days. Last week when we had to take Hubs for eye appointment it was 108. That was bad. But then it dropped down to the high 90's.  Hope your garden makes it. You guys stay cool. I hope we can all get together. That would be cool.
