yesterday was not a good day. my son is a high school teacher and yesterday he was threatened by a student to do my son bodily harm!nit was said in the classroom in front of other students. My son did not want to press charges at first, but the kid kept talking about beating his arse...Son ended up pressing charges and they took the kid away in handcuffs.. he will probably get expelled as he should. it is scary nowadays cause of shootings and such mat schools...and guess what...son has had a run in with this kid a week ago and mom stuck up for the kid! made up excuses why it was the school and teachers fault, not her babies fault...will be interesting what mom has to say about this event! that is most of the problem today, parents stick up for their rotten kids instead of making their kids accountable for thei actions! grrrrrrfr!
Cookie,
Yipes -- that is really scary.  Being responsible is something parents are just not teaching their children, probably because they use the "excuse" system themselves.  Glad he is physically ok, but am sure this has torn him up mentally.  Prayers headed that way.

That is a terrible thing, Cookie, but I think your son did the right thing.  That kind of behavior can not be tolerated in a civilized society and especially in school where the other kids are watching.  I am a teacher as well, as although I have had a few ugly words thrown at me, I have never been threatened physically. I hope your son hangs in there and that this young miscreant is shown the door and quickly.

Muffy...very good advice ! I am going to try that training. Molly is a lot better today thank goodness...very sore but eating and walking painfully around. She won"t go near the front door now but i am sure as time passes she will lose the fright memory...but now is the time to start the training...
thanks..

I am glad to hear she is feeling better.

Good afternoon,
Made what I hope is the final trip to Mom's -- got a car load of stuff which will have to wait.  I am exhausted.  Think things will be getting better now with Mom's home now just a house.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Blessings.

Asking for monkey prayers for my brother, please.
His surgery was 18th Sept.  Due to bladder cancer, his bladder, prostate and lymph nodes were removed. He developed an infection and was sent back to hospital on the 29th where he remains. When they pack his wounds, he requires morphine.  He had a little stroke.  He is in a community hospital and will be ambulanced this week to see his surgeon- (a 3 hour trip). My SIL has done an amazing job caring for him and her insistance on getting him back to the hospital - despite the fact she had nurses visiting at home morning and evening -saved his life.  the nurses told her, well, he is getting antibiotics for the infection....

thank you!

Dear Lord, you know our thoughts before we speak them and for this we are grateful for sometimes words cannot convey our thoughts.  You know of each and every need expressed here and we praise you for your plan of solution and salvation.  We lift up this morning can's brother and wife and ask a special anointing of your mercy and grace, not only on them, but all who attend them.  Give them healing hands of Jesus of Galilee in whose name we pray.  Amen and Amen.

Good morning everyone!

Things are going better since Mom's house was cleaned out.  Entering a different phase of the grieving process.
Got Mr. Jenkins yesterday and am really enjoying having him here.
Hope everyone is hanging fast, if not, God will catch us if we fall.

Blessings.

Grieving can take a lot of energy.  But it looks like you've channeled by being productive and moving forward.  And you understand the process and know there will be better days ahead.  Mr. Jenkins sounds like good therapy!

Hi Sister!

Glad you have Mr. Jenkins for a visit.  Nothing like sloppy wet kisses from a pooch friend.

Speaking of pooches, as we often do...

Hubs and I went to a benefit the other night, that auctioned off items. One of the items being auctioned was a nine week old Golden Retriever puppy.  He was there on the premises walking around melting hearts, with a big red bow tied around his neck.

I have to say something about it made me uncomfortable.  I was so worried that the person who bid the highest and took him home, would care for him properly.  It just seemed like he was purchased on a whim, so to speak.  I don't know if I am expressing my feelings correctly- I just had an uneasiness about the manner in which he was adopted.  I hope he has a loving home and taken well care of.  The pup was absolutely gorgeous.  (Not that they have to be pretty to be loved- Chubbie is a good example of that!)

Hope everyone is having a blessed week - prayers to Can I send out as well.
