Hi all!

Green Eyes - your neighborhood parade/trick or treat event sounds like so much fun.
Bearlyhere - becoming the parent to ailing parents is so stressful ((((hugs))))
Cookie - "smart" phones are too smart for me, too!
Caddy - I wish it were cold enough for chili here.  My hubby makes ours and it is so good.
Brandi - glad you are getting some relief but I hope you get pain free soon.
Casually Cool - thanks for doing your part to keep us safe!
Sister - ((((hugs)))) for all your words of support

To anyone I missed, hope all is well, and prayers for all in need.

I am going to work with the ponies a little later today.  They have become my therapy.

Thank you flutter1.

I say, lucky you and luck ponies!

Brandi I am glad to hear you are doing better. Your week end dinner sounds yummy. Nothing special here. Meant up with daughter at the store to pick up a few things for the grand kids. I remembered why I stopped going to the stores on the week end.

I know what you mean about shopping on weekends!

I try very hard not to go shopping (grocery and drug stores are about the only brick and mortar stores I go to anymore) on Sat or Sun. My, they are so crowded on those days compared to during the week!

That's about it for me too.

According to the weatherman this next week are our last warm days. We are suppose to drop down into the 60's.

hi all! hope that everyone is doing well.
tomorrow our subdivision is having a trick or treat parade around the pond...it is an annual event. last year there were 125 kids. safe daytime trick or treating..parents bring the candy and pass it out as the little goblins march around. The 4 grand daughters are coming out and then they and their families are coming over here for a chili supper...corn bread, hot rolls, pumpkin pie to name a few things..
what do you all have planned for the weekend?
That sounds wonderful.  Me especially likes the chili supper part!

sounds like a wonderful day for the "goblins"!

I made a HUGE pot of homemade vegetable soup and it only lasted two days!!

Home made soup sounds great. I love home made soup. Don't make it much just for hubs and I. He doesn't care for it. I still make enough to feed the neighborhood.  How you doing Caddy?
Hi GE!  Thanks for asking-can't really complain about anything.  Working two part time jobs - one stressful and one mindless, so there is a balance there.  Got to spend a little time with my college daughter this weekend.  That keeps an old "lady" young, for sure.  My son is still working on his new business venture and it is coming along slowly, but nicely.  The mutts are loving this cool weather here!!  My Auburn Tigers are having some problems on the football field- argh. And last but not least, love catching up with all of y'all and sending prayers out for those in need.  Oh, and my mom is in a good period right now.  It is usually up and down- that is typical with her- but she is doing well for now.  She is getting new hearing aides- YIKES- do y'all know what they cost??

Caddy, it's good to read that your mother is in a good period.

Dunno about the cost of hearing aids, but I have learned recently that anything to do with health is so outrageously pricy now-a-days!

I am glad you are doing well. Love hearing from you.

Good morning everyone!

Just wanted to share some bit of good news.  Yesterday one of my churches had a surprise luncheon for me for Pastor Appreciation Month.  Complete surprise.  It was wonderful.  Never had a surprise luncheon or surprise anything before!
They had a box folks filled with cards (and money!) and people got up and spoke about how much I meant to them.  I was overwhelmed and humbled.
Assuredly made me feel appreciated and loved!

So glad your mom is in a good period. Enjoy it while it last. All I can say about the hearing aids is Yikes! The prices are outrageous that's for sure.  Glad you got to spend time with your daughter. Taking mine to get her car fixed today.

Good for you, Cookie.  Hubby and I will be going soon! Not that our vote will make much difference, but I can't complain, if I don't vote!  elephant

My mustang boys:  McCoy and Twister, respectively

McCoy has already been shown  in Mustang Extreme Makeover and other events and has done well.  Twister has only been gentled and is a work in progress.  They are close to the same age, but Twister is a chow hound.  He came from Murderer's Creek, Oregon and McCoy came out of Broken Arrow, NV.  Hopefully they will be ready to ride by the spring.

These images must have been resized for texting.  Maybe I should take some more.
