Thanks everyone -- Brandi, you know where to look for pictures of Belle at school (I think).  She is learning her down/stay.
Miss her so much, but will be delighted when she graduates.

I have been peeking in on everyone.  4Donks you remain in my prayers, Benji, and Sister, too.  I could not remain on the internet on my old computer.  Got a new one with Windows 8.  I am having so much trouble!!!  I keep getting booted and cannot stay on the internet!  Letters keep shrinking, I keep seeing the desktop, all kinds of stuff.  You are all in my prayers.  I am happy for you TBM.  Also, I had my Dad moved to another room.

Bearly  - Windows8 can be confusing.  If you click on the icon that says DESKTOP (marked with the red arrow) you will get a screen that looks more like what your desktop used to look like.

Well, it looks like George will be going home tomorrow/this weekend.  He is so excited.  I have some hesitation because he will not have someone with him 24/7 -- just 10/7.  This is a case where I must let go and let God.

Sister Continued prayers for George, You and Connie.  I imagine it is hard but all you can do is try and see what happens. an angelic monkey

                    HAPPY   BIRTHDAY   GREEN   EYES

Just got home after a wonderful BIRTHDAY dinner for Green Eyes.  Went to a great little Mexican Resturant, her son and daughter and 3 grandkids along with our hubbies made quite a party.....Yummy food and great company.............

Than we get chased home by threats of Tornadoes all around us......Was an interesting 20 mile drive, glad it was still light enough out to see we weren't heading into anything.  Oh well, guess we need a little bit of excitement to keep our old 64 year old hearts a pumping!

Happy Birthday, Green Eyes!

As for the post,  !

Thank you Bearly. There was some wild weather for sure. We were all okay. My prayers for the people that weren't so lucky. an angelic monkey

Yuck just watched a bunch of crows chase a snake out of one of the trees on our property.  The birds were screaming and when I went to the back door to look out and see what was going on. Saw the snake drop out of the tree and take off across the yard. Lost it when it went behind our metal shed.

I was just glad I was in the house and had the door between me and snake.    Brandi that is so cute. It is going to be awhile before I go any where near the shed.

I've had a problem signing into the site but apparently can do it with the desk top computer not the laptop or phone.

I told Green Eyes about my run in with the weight police, they are upset because I lost 7 1/2 lbs. this week. I have been told to eat 2500 calories a day  and they don't care if it's a balanced diet...they want calories.  She suggested some of you could give me some ideas on what to eat. I can't have anything like thin liquids because I aspirate and nothing crunchy or hard because I can't swallow it.....a royal pain I've become.

I do keep all monkeys ( and families ) in need in my prayers.

I know that a product called "Thick in" or some such is available to make thin liquids thicker so you don't aspirate. Beyond that - ICE CREAM! Do you have a VitaMix?  you can make wonderful smoothies. My hubs says cheese - it is one of the most concentrated calories there is - and it is yummy.  Or you could come here and I can give you some weight . . . .

Hey 4Donks

Like TBM said, I was going to suggest ice cream.  Or I know peanut butter is high in calories also, and has some nutritional value.  Or something like macaroni and cheese with lots of cheese in it?

Hope you are doing well.

Hi 4Donks Glad you were able to get on to SM.  How about some high calorie milk shakes. Or potatoes baked or mashed with cheese.

Continued prayers.   an angelic monkey

Well, first thing that comes to mind is dark chocolate! High in antioxidants and vitamins and minerals. And high in wonderful taste!

Also whole grains including breads and pastas!

And hummus is another calorie-rich good-for-you food.

As others have mentioned, nuts and nut butters!

Input "healthy high calorie foods" into your favorite search engine, and you'll get some good hits.

I think it's a good idea to eat healthy foods at this time, and there are plenty of healthy foods to help you gain weight and strength.

I am glad you figured out a way to log into the forum. Sorry you have had difficulty. I have been looking for your posts!

Thanks for all the suggestions. My sister came over yesterday and brought me a 3 cheese and ham quiche...went down easy. She made it with eggs, cheese and 1/2 and 1/2. My problem is everything tastes the same and slightly metallic but we shall persevere. Once again THANKS!!!!!

I thought I was probably banned and haven't checked in here for ages.  In fact I couldn't even remember my password for a while.

I just wanted to let 4Donks know how much I admire her courage and bravery.  I, myself, have been through lung cancer and survived.  I know she can too with her attitude and all of you pulling for her.

God bless.
