Un-friggin' believable!  These people have to be the most soul-less people on the planet.  A person is dead, people on their island know how it happened and who was involved...and this is how they respond????

If nothing else, this drivel will boost the call for a boycott of Aruba...where everybody lies.

Does Beth then know that her daughter is still (alive) on the island, after she told the entire world that the three local boys did all kinds of things to her daughter and possibly even killed her? Or is the latter only a way to divert attention of what is really going on? Why does Beth give out posters on her second day on Aruba which states that her daughter had been kidnapped? After she - what is remarkable to begin with - on the day of the disappearance, when the fellow students are barely back more than a few hours, gets off the private plane on Aruba with pre-printed leaflets under her arm with on it a local number, who she immediately starts handing out to airport staff? Does Beth know something that other people weren't aware of at that time and still not aware of? Angela: "I am almost convinced that Beth knew from the beginning where Natalee was".

She and another American living on the island, Julia Renfro, and who is chief editor of the English published daily Aruba Today (part of the Bon Dia Aruba publishing house) are involved with the case from the second day. Natalee's mother asked Renfro on the 31st of May to help find her daughter. During the weeks that follow Renfro is one of the Beth confides in and with that, together with Angela she is one of Natalee's Angel's. Two years after the disappearance Renfro also tells the side of the story that the world is unaware of.

PHONE CALL

The material shows that Renfro and Angela are telling that on the 2nd of June 2005, a call came in from an unknown female. She knows where Natalee is at that moment, that she is alive but that she doesn't want to go back to her mother Beth. For the measely amount of 4,000 dollars she can tell where she is. But to the amazement of Renfro and Angela Beth suddenly has no desire to pursue this further and afterwards, afer a lot of pressuring, she doesn't want to pay more than 1,000 dollars for the possible release of her daughter. Even though the next day the announcement had been planned for the 10,000 dollar reward for any tips, an amount that will ultimately increase hundred fold in the end. If Angela says she will pay out the 4,000 dollars from the till of her husbands restaurant, Beth caves and tells Angela the words that were mentioned above here. Namely that the girl has to be dressed up as unrecognizable as possible and has to be packed in and brought to the waiting med-jet. “So that she could leave immediately and not have to be questioned by the authorities, the police and certainly not admitted to the Aruban hospital system”, Renfro adds to that.

But before Angela and Renfro arrive at the drugs-house, Beth's reckless and loudmouthed – ’I’ll burn this place and island down’ – former husband Jug Twitty (Beth is in the meantime divorced from Jug) had already been there; except a lot of noise and panic in the immediate vicinity of the drugs-house, he achieves nothing by his actions. But more importantly, according to both women, Jug was responsible for the rescue operation having failed and that Natalee - of which since that moment really no further word has been heard, not even through others, is and stays missing.

The not authorised med-jet leaves back to the US, after that the crew has been a bit too loud and too cheerful about the unknown mission. This happens at the bar of the hotel Natalee had been staying in and where her family and the people who accompanied them are sleeping for free - the Holiday Inn - and are fired soon after returning in the US. This is what manager/employee Alberto G. - another person that the tv-show makers are showing incognito - of the prive airfield shortly afterwards from the crew of another med-jet. Alberto happens, because he is one of the first people to have come into contact with the family, to be the person who shows Beth and Jug around the island. Alberto asks an acquaintance who traveled with the family how they think they are going to the the kidnapped daughter onto the private plane - “If she was supposedly kidnapped, she does not have a passport”; and she also cannot go through immigration – to this, the person who flew the plane to Aruba said : “Do not worry about that. That will be all handled.” The plane that was sent to pick up Natalee was there on orders from the owner of the company that rents out private jets, G. Ruffner Page Jr. Page organized the private jet that flew Natalee's mother and her entourage to Aruba shortly after having been informed of the fact that Natalee had gone missing and in fact was also part of that group of people.

If the person who made the phone-call with the tip/information indeed was knowledgeable about the location of Natalee at that moment that this of course gives a whole new twist to the "known events" and that exhonerates Joran van der Sloot, at least from the "burdon" that he has been carrying around of having been the last to have seen her. But this and other remarkable things throw an entirely different light on the case. In particular the lies that Beth, according to journalist Renfro, keeps telling about the three boys, Aruba and the police and judicial establishment of the island for all the big American TV networks who flocked to Aruba en masse. For example, she says in an interview that at least one of the three had raped her daughter and that she is basing that information on police-statements; but she never shows any statement and later both her lawyer and police chief Dompig deny such statements exist. Another good example is the manipulation of the tape on which Satish Kalpoe, when asked if Holloway had sex with all three of them, the boy answers " ‘No, she didn’t’, while the in the US popular TV show Dr. Phil with no scruples fabricates it into ‘She did’, as was proven by the scientific investigation performed by the NFI (Nederlands Forensisch Instituut).

Aruba for months is world wide news, but the hospitable population suffers under the constant stream of insults about incompetence and corruption of the legal system. It even leads to the family calling for American tourists
to boycott the island, something that is openly supported by the governor of Alabama Bob Riley.

Renfro concludes: “The family did not want the truth to be told.” In the mean time the donation money is flooding towards the family, out of sympathy with the victims. According to Renfro that ran into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The biological father of Natalee – Dave Holloway – according to Renfro doesn't get a penny from that money, even though he was the one, who without dozens of paid cameras in his wake (according to Renfro the Twitty's were paying for the media-attention) goes all over the island looking for his daughter.

ENORMOUS PRESSURE

Talking about the accusations of incompetence. Of course, never before has the Aruban police force with such international media attention, been doing her work. Never before has the pressure been that enormous. Never before have the stakes been that high. But also, never before has it been made that difficult (if not to say impossible) for the Aruban police and justice department to do their work. Former police chief Dompig explains that in any country in the world, also and maybe even especially in the US, investigators in case of a missing person look at all possible scenario's and also look, mostly even to begin with, at the direct circle around the missing person, their family. "Out of respect we didn't do that to begin with" Dompig continues: "But this was no ordinary missing persons case on Aruba. No, it was a high profile missing persons case in which the US has spoken on high government level with the Netherlands". For example, the dutch minister of Justice (Piet Hein Donner, CDA) phoned up the Arubans and said that they had to pull out all the stops. The Netherlands even sends F-16's with very expensive photo equipment to make pictures of every inch of Aruban soil. "More and more we got the impression that this was not about Natalee Holloway, but about the relationship between the Kingdom and the US. This went all the way up to the inner circle of the White House in Washington. All the way up to the offices of VP Dick Cheney. He's the clue".

Renfro too tells in front of the camera that the highest US departments and politicians were getting involved:  “The day after she disappeared the chief protocol got a telephone call from Mrs. Condoleezza Rice, asking him to ask our Prime Minister to put this case at the highest priority.”

But except the hot breath of the FBI in their necks, the local authorities are frustrated in their work, especially when they are trying to find out more about the stepfather of Natalee Jug, the very wealthy president of Phoenix Metals who also does business in Latin America. In an investigative case where money might play a big part, it is necessary to look at the financial picture, explains Dompig's voice on the tape. That is something that he can forget doing, he soon finds out.  “You do your own dirty work”, Dompig is told when he indicated to the FBI-attaché that he wants to investigate the stepfather. Dompig: “If the FBI looks at that as dirty work, then that raises all kinds of questions". But that is not all. According to the police officer, as chief of police not one of the lower ranked people in the police force, that is not all that was going on, there were direct "threats" by the consul general of the US for the Dutch Antilles and Aruba. Bob Sorenson who resides in Willemstad on Curaçao, interferes - which in itself is not strange - constantly in the disappearance/case.

To put it short, this side of the case has not been investigate, at least it wasn't while Dompig was still in the KPA. This also goes for her fellow students and the people who escorted them, who flew out of Aruba to their hometown on the planned day. Only after a lot of requests by the Aruban authorities they get the chance to question a few of them. This is done on paper, about half a page, but not like the Aruban police would have liked to have done, they could not question them directly and they could, with the help of their American lawyers, take their time to formulate and non-informative answers.

The makes of the images think that with the help of their material they can document that what actually happened is in no way as has been portrayed in the US media. If nothing else they want to expose the way the US federal police, that in no way shape or form was an active help in investigating all possible scenarios that could have happened. On the contrary, according to them a lot of things point to there being a conspiracy. And that this conspiracy is not about Natalee Holloway but about lots and lots and lots of money. That she was the unfortunate victim of a case that through circumstances went in no way like it was pre-planned.

NOT ON THE FBI LIST

The story however you look at it still raises a lot of questions, even after more than 2 years. That Natalee is not on the FBI's missing persons list says a lot, even though she must be the most famous missing school girl of entire world. In the US alone 750,000 thousands people are reported missing every year.

It is my personal opinion that Robin is just ready for all of this to go away and her life return to 2 years ago.  And having had stepmothers that were good to me, and probably cared alot about me I also still say it's different when it's not your child....

Ms. Red ... I believe that logic dictates that that individual family members at some given time have to move on with life even if it means that justice is not forthcoming for Natalee.  However ... that does not explain the relationship Robin and Dave has established with the enemy.

Mark Purcell has submitted countless posts to internet forums upholding Julia Renfro.  Julia Renfro proclaims the innocence of Joran and  and ... she creates smokescreens discrediting both Natalee and Beth.

Ms. Red ... it is not rocket science ... something is not right in regards to this relationship.

My underlying reason for devoting the past two years to the Natalee Holloway case has been to uphold the family in their contention that a corrupt Aruban investigation was denying Natalee justice ... a corrupt Aruban investigation was distancing Paulus and Joran from implication.  I have never wavered from that support for one minute and ... now members of the the family are changing positions ...

I am so discouraged.

ORANJESTAD, ARUBA — ... Julia Renfro, a Los Angeles native who is editor in chief of Aruba Today, initially took the side of Holloway's parents when they sought publicity on the disappearance and lambasted Aruban police for following Dutch investigative procedures rather than those in the United States.

Galvanized by compassion for a desperate mother, Renfro stopped the presses of her daily newspaper for the first time in its history to include a picture of Holloway to aid Arubans in the island-wide search.

A mother of four, Renfro spent weeks shuttling the family from the scene of one rumored development to another but eventually became disenchanted with what she saw as Twitty's pandering to tabloid TV and "flat-out lies" she told on the air.

"I feel guilty saying any negative thing about a mother who has lost her daughter," Renfro said.  "But her behavior was odd from the get-go."

Renfro has concluded that the body would have turned up by now if Holloway died on the island. She — and many Arubans — doubts the three suspects, who were all good students without criminal records, could have pulled off a perfect crime, leaving no forensic evidence behind and never caving in to the intense pressure of interrogations.

"I've spoken with all of the suspects," she said. "I don't believe any of them did anything to her."

Heavily intoxicated, according to accounts later given by her classmates to the FBI, Holloway could have staggered into the sea and drowned after the local men left her, Renfro speculates. She might have died of alcohol poisoning or a drug overdose and washed out to sea, as Deputy Police Chief Gerold Dompig surmised in a CBS interview last year. She might have climbed aboard one of the dozens of catamarans and cabin cruisers moored off the beach for late-night partying after a concert nearby.

Renfro says she was perplexed when Twitty immediately concluded that her daughter had been kidnapped and made no effort to check hospitals or police about accident victims. Within a few hours, Twitty had concluded Van der Sloot was responsible, and within a couple of days she was telling TV interviewers that she knew her daughter had been gang-raped and murdered....
