Sex dungeon details emerge in California death of deployed Marine's wife

(Reuters) - A woman killed in California this year while her husband, a U.S. Marine, was deployed in Afghanistan was the victim of television-inspired sadomasochist violence, search warrants filed by police and prosecutors showed on Thursday.

A seven-page note left by one of three suspects charged in the murder of 22-year-old Brittany Killgore led police to a "sex dungeon" in the basement of a home in Fallbrook, a small community adjacent to the Camp Pendleton military base north of San Diego.

(CBS/AP) SAN DIEGO - Investigators believe that Brittany Killgore, a Marine's wife, was killed after refusing to take part in sadomasochistic sex at a northern San Diego County home, according to documents released Wednesday.

In the documents, which included search warrant affadavits, investigators say the 22-year-old Killgore apparently didn't know about the sexual lifestyle of Marine Staff Sgt. Louis Perez when she accepted his invitation to a dinner cruise on April 13.

Investigators say they found an apparent "sex dungeon" along with whips, knives and sex toys at the Fallbrook home where Perez allegedly took Killgore. Authorities say she was strangled.

According to CBS affiliate KFMB, one search warrant reveals that officers found a copy of "slave rules," along with a copy of a "slave contract," as well prescription drugs and various types of saws.
