While we are growing taxes, not the economy, Citizens are taking a hike.

Three days before federal income taxes were due, President Barack Obama declared that tax increases can grow the economy. "Now, this is not just about fairness. This is also about growth," Obama said in his weekly radio address. "It’s about being able to make the investments we need to strengthen our economy and create jobs."

In other words, if taxpayers -- and potential job creators --pay more taxes we can afford more Solyndras. Such boondoggles will create jobs, at least until they go belly up and lay everyone off. There is a word for an economic strategy of taxing some millionaires to give government loans to other millionaires. It can be found in the title of a new book by Grover Norquist and John Lott: Debacle.

Tax time pushes some Americans to take a hike
By Atossa Araxia Abrahamian | Reuters – Mon, Apr 16, 2012 6:00 PM EDT

A year ago, in Action Comics, Superman declared plans to renounce his U.S. citizenship.

'Truth, justice, and the American way' - it's not enough anymore," the comic book superhero said, after both the Iranian and American governments criticized him for joining a peaceful anti-government protest in Tehran.

Last year, almost 1,800 people followed Superman's lead, renouncing their U.S. citizenship or handing in their Green Cards. That's a record number since the Internal Revenue Service began publishing a list of those who renounced in 1998. It's also almost eight times more than the number of citizens who renounced in 2008, and more than the total for 2007, 2008 and 2009 combined.

But not everyone's motivations are as lofty as Superman's. Many say they parted ways with America for tax reasons.

Who do the taxes benefit?  Americans?  When Obama talks about everyone gatting a fair shot, why doesn't he ever say 'every American' deserves a fair shot?

Why are Americans always getting the short stick in Obama's vision for America?

Quote
While the president has been urging “insourcing,” the government has been sending money to the Philippines to train foreign workers for jobs in English-speaking call centers.

Quote
“I believe it was reasonable to conclude from that statement that your agency’s outsourcing training program was terminated, particularly in light of President Obama’s ‘insourcing’ initiative announced earlier this year,” the pair wrote. “Therefore, I was shocked to learn that USAID has used taxpayer dollars to invest in outsourcing training programs in the Philippines at the expense of American workers.”.

...

“Using Americans’ hard-earned taxpayer dollars to fund the training of foreign nationals to take our jobs is absolutely crazy and totally unacceptable,” Jones said in a statement. “Uncle Sam is over $15 trillion in debt and unemployment is still elevated because of policies like this, and it’s got to stop.”

Logger jobs in the northwest going to visa/imported workers?  What's wrong with hiring locals?  Why import them?

Stimulus money going to foreign companies and workers imported to the US?

What's wrong with Washington?

The founders didn't want an income tax.  Why steal everything people work for?  The founders wanted tariffs.  Why not raise taxes and run the government on imports?

The founds were looking out for the little people, all the folks on Main Street.

Washngton only looks out for global corporations and traders that own allegience to no nation and nothing to Main Street.

Income tax in immortal, the step child to slavery.  We won't call them slaves, we'll just take everything they've earned, everything they've saved (inflation) and give away almost free money to our friends (Fed) to gamble (liquidity) and take their money through inflated prices.

"It would be thought a hard government
that should tax its people one tenth part."
