We are just hearing that police have removed what appears to be folded fabric or a carpet & some pillows from the family’s car outside the missing 6-yr-old girl’s home. The car, seen parked outside the home, obviously has drawn the attention of investigators, since we are getting in video showing crime scene techs with gloves on removing items. What did they find inside that car? Is it linked to missing 6-yr-old Isabel Celis? And police “refresh” their search warrant on the family home: what do they expect to find inside? Taking your on-air questions right now:

Just passing this along...it came across my FB.

In the process of elimination ... in the pursuit of truth ... the forensic searching of the homes/properties/vehicles of those with a close relationship to this little girl should be a given.  Have the parents/grandparents submitted to polygraph and passed in regards to involvement and/or knowledge?  Were Isabel's older brothers questioned by investigators?

7:30 a.m. — Tucson police Chief Roberto Villaseñor announced at a press briefing this morning that a scaled down search of missing 6-year-old girl Isabel Celis will focus mostly on areas such as washes and drainage areas.

“It means that we’re not gonna take any chance in overlooking anything,” he said.

Authorities completed another search warrant on the Celis home in the 5600 block of East 12th Street about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, allowing behavioral analysts from the FBI to take a look at the home, Villaseñor said.

“I’m hoping they saw things differently,” he said.

Villaseñor also added that he doesn’t not believe Isabel walked away from her home. Police don’t believe she has been taken out of state.

I contend that the words of Tucson police Chief Roberto Villaseñor speak volumes in regards to where the investigation is leading.

Celis family to speak at 2 p.m. today

TUCSON - The Celis family will be making a statement to the media at 2 p.m. today.

Tucson Police confirmed the family will be speaking at the Command Post set up near the east side neighborhood where 6-year-old Isabel Celis disappeared from last Friday night.

TPD confirms that the family will not be taking questions, but will be speaking briefly to the media.

I guarantee that the statement was prompted by suggestion from the FBI BAU.  It is standard protocol.  Y'all remember the infamous only joint Horman press conference?

This is largely for observation and/or lead generating purposes.

Janet- you are correct that everyone has been reporting there was a Saturday trash pickup because I heard the chief say that was well, however, there was not.

If something left that area or residence and was transported to the landfill it was done by an individual, not the trash service.

I have the feeling this case is going to come to conclusion sooner than later.

Here is the raw video for anyone that missed it:

http://www.kvoa.com/videos/raw-celis-parents-plea-for-daughter-s-return/

The first statement of the father's tells me everything I need to know.

"We are cooperating fully in the investigation".

I do not know what happened in that home, but I do know that those parents do not believe their daughter was yanked out of a 13" window over 5' off the ground for some sort of ransom, and neither does LE.

IMO, Mom looked sincere in the presser but Dad.......I hate to say this, not so much.  ::MonkeyCool::He seemed a little hinky to me but that could be nothing. Did you have any gut feelings about the parents when they spoke out?

Who could possibly hurt this adorable baby? She is exquisite. Please God bring this baby home  an angelic monkey

Parents of missing Arizona girl tearfully plead for her return

TUCSON, Arizona (Reuters) - The anguished parents of a missing 6-year-old Arizona girl who authorities say may have been snatched from her bed made a tearful public appeal on Wednesday for her safe return, pleading to presumed abductors to "tell us what you want."

Wearing T-shirts bearing their daughter's picture, Sergio and Becky Celis appeared before reporters for the first time since the Tucson girl was reported missing on Saturday, speaking briefly in a parking lot in 90-degree heat.

In English, then in Spanish, the mother thanked well-wishers for their prayers and pleaded for her daughter, Isabel Mercedes Celis, to be set free. Her father, also speaking in English and Spanish, offered to meet any demands.

"Please, please, to the person or people who took Isabel, tell us what your demands. Tell us what you want. We will do anything," he said, his voice quivering with emotion. "Isabel, we will never give up. We will never stop looking for you."

After reading the statements, the parents hugged volunteers who have helped search surrounding areas since Saturday, then quickly walked away toward a motor home serving as a police command center. They took no questions from the media.

The parents have said Isabel, who has two older brothers, was last seen when she was put to bed on Friday night. The family awoke Saturday morning to find the hazel-eyed girl's bed empty, they told police.

Authorities say a window to the girl's ground-floor room was open, and a screen was missing.

Police have said they are treating the girl's disappearance as a "possible abduction" but have yet to rule anyone in or out as a possible suspect.

The search widened on Tuesday to washes surrounding the middle-class urban neighborhood. Police investigators have been paired with FBI agents to knock on every door within a 3-mile radius of the family's home, and all local trash companies have been contacted, said Tucson police Chief Roberto Villasenor.

The family was given the go-ahead to return to the modest single-story house on Wednesday morning, after FBI behavior analysts had inspected the home. The entire block remained cordoned off with police tape, and squad cars were posted at each end. Villasenor reiterated that the search continues, despite declining likelihood of finding the girl safe.

"We don't think about that," he said. "All we think about is bringing her back safely."  ::snipping2::

Just watching this.

Interesting that dad is making lots of faces of pain over mom's shoulder while she speaking.  I have yet to see a single tear fall.  Mom seems to have it together more so that dad.  But something about him just seems off.

Is surveillance video key to solving missing girl investigation?

Quote
Rick Moore of Moore Security Solutions has surveillance cameras placed right outside his company--a company that is just feet away from Isabel Celis' family home.

Rick Moore said his cameras were on the watch the night Isabel disappeared.

"And the cameras that we have located in the back were looking where a lot of things were happening," said Moore.

::snipping2:: ...these cameras also have infrared technology so you can see at nighttime and that will help too, since the abduction occurred between 11 and 8 o'clock," said Moore.

"There was activity going on," he said. "There were vehicles...there were people wandering around. There were things that we saw and we did get recorded so that information we did release to the police."

There has been video since Saturday morning 75 yards from the Celis house.  There were cars, there were people, there was action.

Do we really think LE is warranting a property 3 times in 24 hours,  and the BAU is going to form a profile without speaking to the family whatsoever?

The last people to see the missing child, and the people that knew her better than anyone to provide the strongest input to the victimology assessment?

Again, I dunno what happened at 5602,  but I do know that LE is not buying it as sold.

We can deduce this-  footage did not yield Isabel being removed from the home that is covered by cameras.  If it had, it would have resulted in an amber alert.

Imo- they either know who has this child, or they know where she is and what happened to her.

KGUN Tucson, AZ 4-25-12 CREATED 10:37 PM

Missing: Isabel Celis
Day 5 ends with shocking account from next door neighbor

Snipped:

9OYS reporter Marcelino Benito asked Alicia Stardevant if she remembered anything bizarre from that day. "At 6:30 that morning my dogs were going crazy, their dogs were going nuts," she said. "I remember hearing male voices right outside my window. But it was light outside so I just kept sleeping, I didn't think much of it."

Now, it's all Stardevant can think about. She lives in a guest house right next to the Celis family home. Her bedroom window is right next to the window to little Isa's bedroom.

i have a busy day,im hoping Isabel, is found safe

 ::snipping2::
At the day's final press conference, 9OYS asked TPD  about Alicia's recollection of events from that morning.

"Of course we're looking at it," Villasenor said. "But it's just one piece of a 500 piece puzzle."

For the fifth day in a row, police aren't releasing details of what those other puzzle pieces may look like. The search continues in the sky, in washes and door to door. The number of officers out actively searching has decreased, so any information is becoming more critical by the hour.

"My opinion doesn't matter, but what I would get from it is I didn't hear screaming, I would think someone close to the family did this or she's just a really deep sleeper," said Stardevant.

This woman says males 'voices' outside the window.  We've only got one man in that home.  So who else was there?  I'll bet LE is checking cell records for all family members.

I'd like to hear from Isa's teachers.  Was she a strong-willed child?  She's the baby and only girl.  I'd be surprised if she weren't.

Isabel lived at 5602 12th street.  There is also a Celis family living at 5701 12th street.  Wonder if that residence has been searched as well?

Hanna said Isabel and her family were at the ballpark watching a game last Friday night and Sergio stayed afterward to help clean up, which may be why Isabel went to sleep so late.

So, she was seen on Friday night by someone outside of the family.
